They also whine about new genes, breeds, roundsay dragons, one egg nests, exalting in general, people being not nice enough, the forums being a mess, and so on. Don't get me wrong. People are allowed to whine about anything and everything as we all have different things to bother us. But to 'shot down'/decline the idea of a suggestion cause a part of the userbase might continue to not like a specific thing seems not that well a choise. Especially if that thing is actualyl something that they can fix themselfs without having to completely stop using a part of the site. Unnameds are not a problem - they are just something people like to complain about because its insignificant but there. Like that one hair being out of place of a piece of lint on your clothes. No biggy bit a way to complain to feel better after.
Its not bound to make the flights with a lot of a low dom oriented populace better. To even out flights... - only random flight assignment and no flightchanges could stem that. Which I guess is nothing anyone would ever want.
This suggestion is targeted at casual exalters, players that want to partake in dom but do not belong to the people that can exalt 150 dragons in a row each day.
As I said - it would spice things up from the trott we are in now. Would Light and Earth still be the mayor dom flight? Sure. Would people enjoy this feature? Probably? I would. You probably would not. Another might be indifferent. Frankly only a sitewide poll would show whether this is wanted by the players or not. Alas survey participation is rather meh around the forums - only a few hundred participants if I remember correctly.

I like this idea, not because I feel it would make things 'fair' for all flights, but rather it would allow casual exalters and players who might not have the resources to exalt a lot of dragons at any given time a way to feel they are participating.
I honestly, and I have said this before on other threads, think there is any way to 'fix' dom without basically tearing the entire structure down and starting from scratch, and even that might not work because the two biggest things affecting dom, OOF support and being able to switch flights, are two things that either cannot be controlled or doing so would negatively impact the site beyond dom.

Casual exalters are still going to be badgered into exalting more, even if there is a cap.

Okay, so what I said earlier about burnout due to constant pushing, fair enough about it being each player's responsibility to manage that. I still think the creation of what would effectively be multi-week pushes would just increase that but I'm happy to leave that as an irrelevant point.
I actually just ran some numbers for hypothetical situtations under uncapped conditions and I might have changed my mind about it not helping casual exalters.
So say on a normal, non-push week, A exalts 100 dragons and B exalts 10. Their flight pushes every 3 months, so they've saved up 1200 and 120 points respectively by the time the push comes.
If during the push, A exalts 400 dragons, and B exalts 20, during the push week alone A has exalted 20 dragons for every 1 of B's. However, when the stockpiled points are added, A has now exalted only 11.4 dragons for every 1 of B's. As long as A's contribution during the push is scaled up from a normal week by a greater scale factor than B's, B's relative contribution will be greater when the stockpiled points are factored in. It seems likely that heavier exalters will have more of a percentage difference between pushes and non-push weeks than casual exalters, so this would actually increase the contributions of casual exalters.
However, this is all assuming everyone continues to behave as they do now. If pushes were essentially weeks or months long, I would expect the difference between weeks of all players to decrease, reducing this benefit. We already have prelevelling, which is effectively storing up levels to be used later, and does require strategy and organisation as all those dragons need to go somewhere in the meantime. Casual exalters can help with either levelling or dorming here. More dormers are always needed, so it's already a good way to help out for people who are unable to churn out lots of dragons. I'm not sure we necessarily need to press any casual exalters into exalting-based roles in dom when there are many other ways to help out.

I'm a casual exalter and I can tell you with absolute certainty that dorming doesn't appeal to me at all. I don't like holding onto dragons for prolonged periods of time. And I don't often have regular time set aside to level dragons nor am I a particularly swift leveller.
What I like to do, when I get the itch to Coli grind, is buy a few cheap fodder dragons, either adults or hatchlings that are a day or two off from growing up, level them up and then send them off to WindDad (or an OOF raffle if the prizes or payouts are particularly good). Maybe I hold them for a day or two to see if an exalt bonus pops up but that's it.
I can say with 100% certainty that if something like this were instituted, I'd hoard every exalt point I got for whenever Wind did pushes in order to help out.
Because I can't and don't want to dorm dragons. And I can't guarantee my availability to level dragons during the push itself.
This is ideal for casual exalters with helter-skelter schedules. Will it make a huge dent in Dominance battles? Who knows. But it does allow for all the people who exalt "off-schedule" to give their flight additional help in a Dom battle.

Just a question...is the one point proportional to flight size too?

If that was the case, it would have already happened. Not sure how it works in Earth, but in Light our Dom leaders didn't just corner people in the offsite chat and ask people how many dragons they exalted, even on conquest weeks. We'd even get people straight-up saying in the chat "I exalted two dragons I'm done" and they'd get congratulated rather than shamed. The existence of points would not change that
(That was a long time ago, but I imagine off-site Light culture is still like that? Probably more so since we haven't conquested in like 87 years.)
EDIT: To clarify, my post is referring to a hypothetical scenario where everyone's points are kept secret and not displayed on their page in flashing neon. The real facts are: Dom leaders just don't have the time to go hunting down every member of the flight with a clipboard and a white feather and asking them for their totals.

It takes
Twelve Years for one Imperial pair to produce a Primal-eyed offspring of a specific sex. Goal-based breeding is dead.

Correct, otherwise a flight like Shadow would have no problem winning dom since we have so many members.
Just think of the points as exalting an additional lvl 1 dragon per point.

I guess that wouldn't really change much on normal weeks except pushes?
That's what I interpret from this new mechanic. It's as if everyone levels 1 more level for each dragon, just that they can add the points anytime. And most likely, they'll save them for a push probably?
What I see from this is more focus on in flight prep instead of OOF help which can help in pushes, but I think it wouldn't help the current dom scene much outside of that.

OOF help would still be required since those are leveled dragons. Exalting level 1s does help to an extent, but it's still not worth overly much. This is more to give casual exalters a way to feel like they're actually helping with dom.
