Transferring eyes probably wouldn't swap elements. Like, putting primal fire from one dragon on a light dragon would give the light dragon primal light eyes.
But I don't like transferring eyes much myself. I'd just wait until my fodder dragons pop out rare eyes and then put them on my keepers. The RNG smiled on me today and gave me facet and multi within the same nest, and I just sold a primal I bred last week. If we had transferring eyes, I would just put these on my keepers and exalt the fodder.
With individual eye vials, I would actively work for my goal rather than passively wait for it to appear in my layer. That sounds so much better, doesn't it?

If writers are supposed to "show not tell," why are we called "storytellers" and not "storyshow-ers"?
Semi-support?...
It sounds like a good idea, and I can't see many flaws, but eehhh?
Eeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhh??????
I don't know?????? I guess I'm neutral????????
Edit: Isn't the Tempered Sight vial technically the same thing as Classic? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding it.
Edit edit: Okay yes I want that. I'm no longer dead inside.

Glad to see that this is still going, thanks for the support! Would love to edit the post to change the current support number but oh well :^/

Popping back in to voice my support again!
I’d still really, really like to be able to access rare eye types on project dragons, even if they were expensive or hard to get. Even the rarest eyes are going for peanuts on several dragons on the AH, so the inherent “get rich quick” lotto value they were intended to have seems to have been used up...
Yeah, they’ll still be worth a lot on the right dragon, but the same goes for genes! A Wasp/Shimmer/Opal dragon that’s Ultramarine/Murk/Magenta with Fire eyes isn’t going to sell for as much as a Wasp/Shimmer/Opal dragon that’s Abyss/Turquoise/Aqua with matching Lightning eyes. Rare genes don’t make a dragon inherently valuable; rare eyes also don’t make a dragon inherently valuable (aside from G1s).
And...
I really would love to have Legacy/Classic/etc. vials for my dragons. I’m still sad and angry about how much worse they all look now and how their eyes all got changed for no reason. ;__; Legacy vials would fix this, though, and they’d be a totally harmless addition!
With all the new eye related threads, this one is still very much relevant. I hope the staff understands how important this is to us; it's not going to fade away.

I'd love if they least gave a little acknowledgment they're listening to us

Apocalyptichorse same. It kind of feels like they don't care about this particular topic? People have been complaining about it since its very release and not a single word (to my knowledge) has been said about the complaints? I don't even need them to change it, just a decent reason why they made it the way they did.

Yeah it's almost been 6 months yet not a word :^(

I sure wish staff would actually communicate with their userbase instead of just constantly going "we did what we did! Bye!"
They always do stuff like this and then just act like its cemented on site forever with nothing ever having a chance of changing for the better
Staff really hates to admit when they messed up.

I can understand why the staff might stay quiet if there's something in development that isn't ready to show the public. And I'm not the type to give up on a suggestion I really want to see implemented.
But it is sad that with as much feedback as the staff is getting on the eyes (and there has been A LOT from legacy vials to individual vials to ideas for new eyes to cycling the scattervials and more), the only thing we've gotten is dark sclera.
To me, when this was introduced at the anniversary, it felt as if this would be a big thing with many more new eyes to come. It would be something that the playerbase would always enjoy. But now it feels as if that one introduction was it. Boom, new eyes! Next feature!
And it doesn't have to be that way. FR could easily roll out legacy vials and make us players happy. FR could easily implement individual vials for existing eyes and make us all thrilled. Both ideas could be done in an afternoon; all the artwork exists. All that's needed is the item thumbnail and entering the data in already existing mechanics. Minimal effort, maximum happy playerbase.
I can see why the staff might want to keep quiet if we derailed their plans though. Maybe they intended to release multiple natural eye types. But then they got all this backlash against uncontrollable RNG in breeding and felt they had to go back to the drawing board. (Trust me, adding more RNG to natural eyes and making their odds less is not going to go better. Especially with the players who used scattervials to get the perfect natural eyes only to have a new natural eye be even better. That is going to be met with negative feedback hard.)
I also know some people feel as if their authority is challenged if they "give in" and implement someone else's suggestion. Trust me, we wouldn't see this suggestion becoming reality as weakness on the staff's part. We would see it as amazing that the staff listened to us and implemented something that so many people want so badly that would influence the site for the better.
