Absolutely yes please. While I wouldn't be happy shelling out money for 100 vials of "return eyes back to normal", it's far better than nothing and my dragons remaining in this pupil-less, sclera-less purgatory.
If there's going to be different shades and wacky additions to eyes, there's no harm in letting people have their dragons back to how they wanted and preferred them. It may not be a big deal to some people, but it is to a lot of others! And they matter too. Excellent suggestions and points have been made many times and in different threads, and I can only echo them at this point.

As a Nature member who's done a LOT of scrying tonight, I would personally disagree with this.
Meet Selnash:

The new eyes are wider/rounder, and noticeably more vivid, which doesn't fit with his dull color scheme or wary, suspicious personality at all.
Now, in his particular case, there IS a solution! Unusual eyes look perfect on him, better even than the old version:

And eventually I'll delve into my hoard of vials and scatter him until I get it. Nature Unusual is a dragon-saver in many cases. But clearly there has been a change. Common =/= Legacy.

I think the item should be an inexpensive(?) treasure marketplace one, provided as an option but not a necessity. There's fun to be had in figuring out a name for it too, Expired Eye Drops is one that comes to my mind.

Oh man, I love the "Expired Eye Drops" idea! :'D That's clever, haha.

Coming back to express renewed support for this idea. It would appear that there are already plans to add more eye types to the pool. One more shouldn't be a problem. Just having the option to have the old eyes would make a lot of users much happier, and having a separate type as opposed to reverting the new common type would have no negative impact on those who like the new eyes. It strikes me that it would be best implemented as a unnatural eye type, with an item to obtain them added to either the gem or treasure marketplace. Adding it as a natural, breeding-exclusive type...would completely defeat the purpose. I'm not enthused with the idea of having to pay to restore my dragons' appearance, but I will absolutely shut up and do it if I can.

This needs to happen. I want my old eyes back. Light Faes used to have flaxen eyes and now have banana. That's a fairly major change.

Anything to give me my tundras and ice coatls back.
I can't stand the new ice colors, but it's especially noticeable on my coatls, and tundras just don't look the same. Art changes like this should be announced and discusses, but furthermore, I can't think of a reason they NEEDED to do this. With changes in the color wheel update and fae lineart, there were actual issues of things being WRONG.
Also, what color did you standardize too, because EVERY Ice dragon I have seems different, as well as EVERY Fire dragon and EVERY Light dragon. I'm sure there are others but those are the ones that stick out to me. If you were going to update colors, you should have chosen a pre-existing eye color (the most common/average among the breeds/genders) and used that instead of making actual noticeable changes.

Full support (with making it an old dragon only option); I actually really like this idea--
It also seems like the most fair option as the eyes were changed without any warning. Personally, I really dislike how my ice/light coatls and tundras look at the moment.
Also, one of the reasons many users disliked the way the event was introduced was because it seemed like older dragons were pushed aside to make way for newer and "better" dragons (I believe there was a thread stating how older dragons seemed "inferior" now). Implementing a legacy eye type that only older dragons can have would offset this feeling because it's something special only older dragons can have.
Making legacy eyes an option would satisfy players that like the changed eyes and the players that are upset because of the amount of effort/time/money they put into making their dragons perfect.

Agreed, especially with these points. Any further change to the common eyes will just create more bad feeling, but an option that affects only those who are willing to use it will harm absolutely no one - except the abstract idea of 'standardization', which the Marva and Primal eyes have already knocked out and merrily tap-danced on.
My personal preference would be for it to also be usable on later-born dragons, mainly for the sake of breeding projects in progress (although of the two I'm currently doing, Common looks better than Legacy for one and Unusual better than Legacy for the other), and also to avoid having to add one more factor (pre-eyes or post-eyes) into each dragon's coding.

No support from me. While yes, unlike most of the major changes made on this site, there wasn’t a warning or at least notice for the eye change. However, just like when the style of the forums changed, users asked for the old style back. The staff made the decision to change the forum look to make the site look more polished and new.
This is the same thing with the eyes. The staff changed them so they have more of a uniform way of looking across all breeds. Before, the eyes were inconsistent and weird from breed to breed. They made this decision, a decision to “fix” something. Adding a scroll that allows you to go back to the old eye look just feels like a step back to me. Why fix something if you’re just going to bring the old, “broken” version back?
(Please quote my post if you want to respond to what I’ve said, I’d rather not be pinged.)

It depends what you think was "broken" about the old artwork. Based on what the staff has said, it's not that the old eyes were inherently flawed in any fashion. (Even if it were, the fact that Multi-gaze exists--arguably also the Marva eyes, which admittedly aren't the same but have the same effect--kind of counters any argument that dragons shouldn't be able to have jarringly unusual eyes.) The only problem with the original eyes was that the base shade was not the same across breeds. For the default option they needed to standardize it. Fair enough.
The thing is, there's no uniformity at all to the different tint options they added: it's not as if they sat down and went 'okay, all Uncommon eyes are this much lighter than base, all Unusual eyes are this much darker than base, etc'. Each flight has a unique, non-standard set of options. I can understand wanting to standardize the base shade. But, since alternate shades are in no way standardized anyway, what would it hurt to make the old art a new alternate type? (Granted, it would be a single type that isn't consistent across breeds--but it's not as if they'd have to make any new art for it, and given that the functionality is to restore the old appearances rather than create a new cohesive appearance, I don't think that's a detriment. It's not as if you can't tell which flight the old eyes belong to... which isn't even the case with some new ones, like Light Rare.)
