This feels like a long shot, but I need to get this off my chest.
I overall like the new eye variations, but the rare variation for Light eyes have a huge problem in that they don't actually look like Light eyes. They're almost indistinguishable from Earth eyes, especially the Uncommon variant.
Here they are on a baby Skydancer:
And the same Skydancer, but with Uncommon Earth eyes:
The effect is even more pronounced on adult dragons with smaller eyes:
This dragon is a Light dragon, but at first glance, and especially on screens that may not have great color definition, it is absolutely not recognizable as one.
The major purpose of eye color is to serve as an identifying feature for the dragon's element. This feels like a big oversight, and as a Light flight member it's personally frustrating to have what essentially looks like an Earth dragon pop up in my nests. None of the other new eye colors have this same issue, at least not to this extent.
I also have a suggestion for what it could be changed to. Other Rare eye variants, such as the Lightning eyes with the copper color and the Plague eyes with the green color, pull color combos common in apparel and familiars associated with the flight.
I'd like to see the black/yellow color contrast from apparel like the Hewn Philosopher's Veil and the Sparkle Nymph and Sunbeam Ursa familiars included as the rare eye color instead. I made a couple quick mockups to show what I mean:
Similar to the Rare Ice eyes
Similar to the Rare Lightning eyes
Is it just me? I'd like to know what people think. If nothing else, if there's an admin reading, I'd like to know what was the reason for making the Rare Light variation an earthy brown color, instead of something more commonly seen in typical Light color schemes.
