They're basically the Spirals of the fish world. Have no middle ground between comatose lazy and full speed ahead Ferrari engine. Long and noodly, they like to drape over stuff like limp noodles and move like little squiggles. They're also cute and pudgy and are just the best. There could be two color variants: normal Kuhli Loach, orange with black stripes, or the Cinnamon Kuhli Loach, which are completely black. And since this is a world of magic, the loaches could be larger than in real life. Perhaps instead of 4 inches, they could be 4 feet long, so that a dragon wouldn't squish their familiar. Maybe the normal kuhli could be called a Giant Kuhli Loach?
