Recently a rogue group called "The Reckoning" established that the territory was theirs, so ShoreClan has been pushed to only using the river.[/center] - Camp - The Shoreclan camp is up on a hill near the water. It's in a slightly wooded area. (Use this picture as reference until I get everything sorted.) [img]https://i.pinimg.com/originals/27/d4/4d/27d44da3ad1fec4204ba4c845b732a62.png[/img] PREY (IN ORDER OF THE MOST COMMON): Fish, reptiles, mice, birds THE WILLOW TREE The Weeping Willow is a tree that the first cats that established Shoreclan came across when they were journeying to find a forever home. It gave them hope for the future, therefore they planted many flowers around the tree to represent how it would help their clan flourish. LILY'S POND In memory of Lilysong, the first medicine-cat of Shoreclan, there's a pond in the Wetlands called Lily's Pond. It is a small shaped pond, in similar shape to a lily flower. To dedicate the pond to Lilysong, cats who knew her have placed things she loved around the pond. (Various types of flowers, feathers, and stones.) RULES: 1. [b]Drama[/b]: Drama is a huge factor in roleplay, yes, but it is expected that roleplay drama does not become out of roleplay drama. Along with that, roleplay drama should be limited: not more than one huge plot a week, no queens having kits every 3 days, no unplanned rogue attacks, fox attacks, etc 2. [b]Conflict[/b]: We are a strict plan-before-do clan. Raids/attempted battles will be ignored. As in, don't have your apprentice go off and suddenly be attacked by a fox, if you decide to ignore this rule, you will be punished. If you'd like for there to be some battle/raid/or whatever, message Newtstar (me), and it will be [u]considered[/u]. 3. [b]Apprentices[/b]:Apprentices may NOT have a mate, though they may have crushes. They must have had 8 training sessions with their mentor before they can become a warrior. (4 hunting sessions, 8 battle sessions). Apprentices must be approved by their mentor before they become a warrior. Apprentices may NOT leave camp unless they are with their mentor or a warrior. 4.[b]Kittens [/b]:Kits may NOT leave camp, even if they're with a warrior. There may not be more than 5 kits in a litter. When joining as a kit, you must have a cat who can b their mother, it can be NPC, your own character, or it can be someone who has agreed to be your parent. They do not have to be related, adopted works fine as well. 5.[b] Queens[/b]:Queens may not have more than 3 kittens in a litter. Queens may not have over 3 litters in a month. A queen cannot have another litter until her kittens are apprentices. Rogue mates are acceptable, but there will be punishments (in rp) administered. 6. [b]Respect[/b]: Respect is one of the most valued rule in ShoreClan. Respect for high ranks is important, but respect for each other comes above all else. Have respect for people's opinions and never bully/harass another member. Swearing, harassment/bullying, racial slurs, homophobic jokes, are prohibited in the roleplay and outside it. While we don't all have to agree, this is a clan, and we're all just here to have a good time. People should feel welcome, not excluded. If I catch you bullying another member with any of the named things above, you will be kicked out of this roleplay and you will NOT be able to rejoin the roleplay. If anyone starts having trouble with another member of the roleplay, please contact me. Characters: [b]Naming[/b]: Please name your oc something appropriate for the climate or their personaltiy. ShoreClan is based near the ocean and is surrounded by the ocean and cliffs, so there is minimal knowledge of fish, flowers, or materials that are beyond the shore, and cliff. For example, a cat wouldn't know what coffee is. [b]Characteristics[/b]: Pelt- Pure-blooded ShoreClanners generally have longer fur, most often silver, gray, or color point pelts. Tabbies are more uncommon though not unheard of, along with tortoiseshells and calicos. Generally ShoreClanners are natural at swimming, and if a cat is not able to swim, or is afraid of water, they are frowned upon and called a "dry-paw". They have long legs to accommodate the water and marshy areas where they live. [b]Creation[/b]:Before creating an oc, please take into regard what you'd enjoy roleplaying. If you're a very social, energetic person, roleplaying an oc that is shy and anti-social probably isn't for you. Take into account your personality and what you'd find interesting to roleplay before making a oc. Make your oc's personality balanced, so have 3 positive traits and 3 negative at least [b]Plots[/b]:Instead of trying to plan something on the spot, ShoreClan uses plots. Plots are basically forms you submit involving the idea you've like to roleplay. For example, you would post a plot about a fox attack, your oc joining the clan, major plots, etc. -Plots regarding sensitive topics, such as suicide, rape, and apprentice pregnancy are not allowed. Plots regarding mental diseases such as dementia, depression, etc, will be allowed as long as you fully understand the concept and severity of these mental diseases, and understand that some of our members do suffer from these illnesses. You must also notify the leader beforehand and receive permission to submit the plot form. [b]Ocs[/b]: You are only allowed two ocs your first two weeks of roleplaying. If I feel like you can handle another oc, and you really want to have another oc, you will be granted one.

Leader: 1/1 (Leaders are the head of their clan. Their personality is the same as their clan's and describes how their clanmates treat others. The word of the clan leader is law, proclaimed by the warrior code, and all other clan cats must obey them. They have their own den, and are assisted by a deputy in their tasks. They are responsible for the whole clan, calling clan meetings, appointing cats to new ranks, and making the toughest decisions. Each clan has one leader, and their names end with the suffix -star.)

Deputy: 1/1 (CLOSED) (Deputies are second in command of a clan. A deputy is chosen by the leader to be their successor. Deputies sleep in the warriors' den; they do not have their own den like leaders do. Deputies are responsible for organizing daily patrols for the clan, such as hunting patrols and border patrols. If a clan leader is unable to lead a clan temporarily due to sickness, being away from the clan, etc., then the deputy would take over for that time.)

Head Medicine Cat: 0/1 - HAS BEEN RESERVED (The head medicine cat is the medicine cat who takes care and manages the medicine den, as well as leads the other medicine cats. They're in charge of the way the system operates and are charged with the responsibilities of normal medicine cats as well.)

Medicine Cats: 2/2 (CLOSED) (Medicine cats are clan cats who treat diseases and injuries, and who receive directions and guidance from StarClan. They have their own den in their clan's camp, where they sleep, store herbs, and treat wounded or sick cats. Medicine cats have a special way of getting their full name, including that this ceremony is performed by the apprentice's mentor instead of the clan leader. They are deeply respected by their clanmates.)

Elite warriors: 0/5 (Elite warriors share the same duties as an average warrior, though for their dedication, contributions, and overall loyalty to the clan, they have been chosen for this respected rank. When the deputy is absent, they will generally organize patrols, and are the most likely to mentor apprentices. They are highly respected.)

Warriors: unlimited (Warriors have been trained in the ways of fighting and hunting in addition to the ways of the warrior code. They are charged with the responsibility to feed and protect those cats who are elderly or unable to spend time out of camp. They train apprentices to learn the warrior code, as well as hunting and fighting.)

Apprentices: unlimited (Apprentices are Clan cats six moons or older, training to be a warrior under a mentor. All apprentices' names end with the suffix "-paw" which symbolizes the path their paws are on, until they receive their warrior name. Most apprentices have the suffix "-kit" taken off their name and replaced with "-paw", but in special cases, their name completely changes. An apprentice becomes a warrior once their mentor or Clan leader thinks they have learned enough.)

Queens: 0/3 (A queen is a she-cat that is expecting or has recently given birth to a litter of kits. Though known to be overly-protective of kits, queens usually are compassionate and kind, and in many cases they have been known to convince their mates or clan leaders to take in cats in need of help. When she-cats become queens, they give up their title and duties as a warrior. Queens have a vital role in continuing the clans' survival as they give birth to the next generation of warriors. Most commonly queens are female, though toms can step in to take care of their young if they wish.)

Kittens: 0/- (A kit is a cat under the age of six moons who is still living in the nursery with their mother and littermates. Kits are usually very mischievous and energetic, and are known to bother warriors and elders. However, they tend to be interested in the stories the elders tell. Most kits are eager to begin their apprenticeship before they reach six moons of age, and very curious about what happens outside their camp. A kit's name must end with the suffix '-kit'.)

Elders: unlimited (An elder is a clan cat that has served their clan faithfully, but has now retired. They are wise and are held in high respect by the other cats; their counsel and knowledge is sought several times, even by clan leaders, though they are often described as grumpy. They do not have to catch their own food, nor do hunting patrols or fight, except to defend if necessary.)

He's attentive to others' needs, and will often try to go out of his way if they needed him. He's nice usually without needing to, and it takes much to anger him. While he is generally friendly and easy-going, Splashcloud can sometimes be a little too welcoming of outsiders. He's generally trusting, and always pushes to see the good in everyone. Splashcloud can also be pretty stubborn, especially with things he sets his mind on. [b]Roleplay Example:[/b] [size=2]The harsh words directed at him had Splashcloud frowning deeply. He knew they were trying to get a rise at him, and if he were younger he would have risen to the bait. But as it stood, the tom had witnessed many things in his life; he's fallen and been rubbed raw, has had a bone broken and his heart torn apart. He's lost his temper a few times and has all the scars to prove it. Splashcloud had been wild and angry in his youth, and the cat infront of him felt like looking at a reflection. "I'm sorry you feel that way," Splashcloud finally spoke, calm and leveled. Yes, he was past those days. "But attacking me won't solve anything. We should be tackling the issue at hand, not be butting heads." Anything you ask of him, he will certainly try his best to get it done. He always tries to stay optimistic, see the good in everyone. he really looks up to all of the Elite Warriors, hoping to someday have that kind of potential in him. Reedpaw is [i]very[/i] insecure, he knows for a fact that he's not the best apprentice, making him feel doubtful about himself. [b]Roleplay Example:[/b] Reedpaw ducked through the small tunnel which created the camps entrance, a rather small mouse hanging limply from his jaws. A small chuckle escaped him as he noticed small, excited balls of colorful fur exit the nursery in a playful manor. It reminded himself of when he was as small as them. The sweet smell of his mothers milk, the warmth that his mother and his own siblings radiated off onto him... He jumped at the gentle touch of his dear mentor, not even realizing he had fully spaced out. Reedpaw let out an uncomfortable laugh, placing his kill onto the pile of delicious looking prey.
