She's manipulative, cunning, and fox-like in her mannerisms. A charming, deceitful trickster. She derives a fresh sense of fun and amusement from her tricks. However, like Dormin, she has proved that she is a capable woman and can get usually get around by sticking to the sleekness her mother gifted her. But she is not a coward. She'll face her problems head on, and prove that she is a true alpha.

Ahh I loved this RP while it was a thing- I definitely want to join this one, though I'll be reusing my old character, I'm to attached too him~
This ref is old, so it probably has a ton of mistakes;
Picture:

Name: Kris
Gender: Male
Mother: A sleek brown tabby with a cream colored underbelly, with a long bushy tail.
Father: Dennis(Denny) is a Great Horned owl with long ear tufts and large grey talons. He has a knack for losing things and not finding them until he no longer needs what he lost.
Description: Kris is a cat-owl hybrid. <3
Kris has great big yellow eyes, with cat like pupils that contract into slits upon contact with bright lights. He has a sharp black beak, and has feathered wings connecting into his fur, which are patterned with a unanimously brown dappled coat. He inherited his mother's underbelly, which ended up being the underneath of his wings as well. His paws are strangely small for a cat, but large in comparison to an owl's talons.
Kris is undersized for having both an owl and cat genes, which he is very sensitive about, and will take comments on his size to a personal level. If he had any siblings, he would most certainly be the runt. He has the unique owl feature of being able to turn his head 180 degrees, but cannot move his eyes, again, like an owl. His tail is tipped with a darker color, almost a black.
Past (optional):
Kris didn't have quite a happy, but not quite tragic past. As soon as his mother realized he was clearly a hybrid at birth, she was mortified, and left him and his father forever. She had a strong prejudice against hybrids, and never expected to have a son who was one. He never remembered his mother, only a fleeting warmth and soft whiskers.
His father however, loved him with all his heart, and raised him as his only child. While he was ridiculed and teased, he never showed the pain of being shunned, only that he was going to raise his child right. As Kris got older, he started to defend his father from the verbal attacks, until the threats promised physical damage, then he finally left, to keep his father safe from harm he caused by just existing there. While it broke both Denny and Kris' heart, they both knew it was for the best.
Siblings: None.
Mate: None yet.
Children: None yet.
Personality:
Kris has the heart of a lion, a justice warrior smaller than the average cat. He is very out spoken, and will speak his mind on any matter that he doesn't justify to be 'right.' He defends others with his words, and will challenge anyone to fight him.
This doesn't always work out for him, as he is usually much smaller than his opponent. Kris has a kind heart and a loud mouth.
Keeping secrets was never easy for him, along with the fact that he shares his father's habit to lose things easily.
EDIT: I went through and edited the text. It should be more readable now!

Yay! Lynx has joined us!!!
Veneritta watched as her mum stalked a hare. She found it quite boring when she could kill the hare just like that! She knew her mum could too because she's also part phoenix. She's not quite sure why she doesn't just burn her prey the moment she sees it, could it be another wolf-pack rule? If so she found it quite stupid, another reason to join another group of animals that allows that rule, like maybe join the phoenixes? She thought long and hard about all sorts of stuff when suddenly her mum leaped onto her prey and finished it off, explaining that this is the best way to kill prey. By sneaking up on it then jumping on to the back and getting a tight hold of it's neck before biting down hard, breaking the neck bone.

Phire was eating old-hay whilst waiting for her mother to return with a carrot for her. She hated being cooped up in this old shack, but her mother says until she can control her fire she has to stay hidden. Phire could now make her mane and tail turn into regular strands of hair and her leg tufts that were made of fire could die down, making it perfect for a disguise. But her wings were so obvious, the only she had managed to turn them into regular feathered wings but that's it, and it wouldn't do regular horses don't have wings at all.

Past: Supposedly his Mother was something of a Goddess to some beings, but she grew tried of all the stuffiness and left. She always let out a roaring laugh when telling him the story, because she herself never thought of herself as a Goddess of any sort. Simply a beast that held a bit of power over water. Kite wasn't fooled when his Mother tried to down play her magical gifts, but he never said anything about it. Instead he smiled and laughed along with her everytime.
His Father would often chirp in that it was after she left that pretentious dump, she found her true meaning in life. Spending it with him, and then Mother would often smack the back of Fathers head by then. It was moments like these that warmed his heart the most, these that reminded him of the good in life.

Siblings: nope
Mate: None as of yet~
Children: *cringe* NO
Personality: Kite is.... hard to describe. When you first meet him, he comes off shy and sweet. Something you naturally want to make sure is okay when you see them in trouble, but then you get to know him. From there it all changes when he views you as a friend. His mannerisms become rough around the edges, and his words become blunt. Really he doesn't mean to be like this, but his parents ingrained it in him to be polite to strangers. He finds it annoying, but he's leanr to deal with it.

Elkin was wandering around, as per usual for him at this point. He wasn't old enough to choose what species he wanted to be around, but he had no one to care for him until then. Which he was semi-okay with. At least he got to explore and run around carefree.. Then again, it was such an odd feeling being so alone. This was a new, odd start for him. No friends. No pets. If anything, he was going to be the pet now. He was also slightly unaware of any dangers of being a hybrid, he just thought it was really really cool.
Sarnor had taken on the form of a snow white domestic cat, ember and blue eyes scanning the territory they had walked into. Despite remaining in a smaller form they were still quite wary. Predators could still be out to get them, and perhaps a hunter would still identify them by their additions. Their travels had led them to a small pond in the clearing of a forest. Their head lowered to take a sip.
Buzzardbrook was among the phoenixes, waking up groggily as the sunlight filtered into her den. She got up and swiftly proceeded out of her home, steps mimicking her mother's former regality. She was the first to arrive for training, eager to learn how to better her control her flame-bending abilities. Her pitch black fur, matched well by her crimson gaze, glimmered in the light of the day.

To be 100% honest this is my favourite character. She's so pretty and so nice, so well spoken, so relatable, so obvious I snuck quite a but of my soul into her (I am not trying to say I'm pretty, I am trying to say I am strange and so people mistreat me and make me mad like her, then they use my defence mechanism to get inside my head. This recently stopped). (I am even trying to make her as a dragon on FR!)
Cheshire sat quietly in a tree, she didn't like being on the ground, reason being everyone bullied her down there. Even when she sat in a tree they still found her, but it took them awhile so she was safe for now. But then she saw their silver, red and blonde pelts under the leaves. She crouched down low on the branch, trying to breathe softer. But it didn't work. "Look up there in that tree!!" One of them called. "Nice job Desert!" The red fox called. "Well, well, well. Look who we got here, hiding again? Thought we wouldn't find you? Huh? Is that right.... FREAK?!" The silver one said calmly before jumping on the tree's stump, trying to climb up to the leaves. "Go Salmon!" The others cheered.
Cheshire was freaking out, what should she do? Automatically she thought of running away and kind of just acted whilst thinking. "GET HER!" Salmon growled as Desert and Flame ran after Cheshire. "What do I do? What do I do?????? Do I run to mother's nest? Run to father? Run to the lake?" Cheshire didn't know which one was best so she started running for her father, no doubt he could give them a good shout. But Flame blocked her leading her to her mother's nest, threating to sting is good idea, if only she wasn't blocked by Desert. She made her way to the lake where she always practised stinging, since it was just past the meadow.
Salmon, Flame and Desert cornered her. She got out her tail and showed them her stinger. Then she filled her teeth with the venom and got out her claws. "Ha, ha you're even more of a freak than I thought! Stingers and venom? How ridiculous and stupid and pointless. FREAK!" Salmon laughed. The words got in her head and she put away her stingers and rid her teeth of the venom. The 3 foxes kept coming closer and closer to her whilst she moved back. They eventually pushed her back into the lake. The lake was terrible, it could suck you down into an underwater cave if it wanted to. The 3 foxes laughed as she feel in and then walked away. Leaving Cheshire hanging on to life.
Whilst Cheshire was down there, she thought about it What do I do if I ever surface again? Do I tell mother? Or father? She thought long and hard and when she made her decision she decided she would not tell either of her parents, or anyone for that matter. I'm going to leave, for good.

(Do you mean Cheshire? Well. Okay. You do do.)
The pond appeared to be, well, more than just a pond. It was connected to a lengthy lake through the forest. As their head bowed to it, they could feel tense aura coming from it. Threatening to draw them in.. and though Sarnor was not ignorant, they were not fearful, either. They drank from it nonetheless. It was per the norm for the forest to go quiet. The frosty liquid bit at their tongue as they drunk, but the coldness of it only added to the refreshment that cooled their chalky throat.
But silence would not be the case today.
They heard something from afar, faint whispers on the breeze. Their head rose from the lake as it turned to the direction of the noises. No sight of the sources. Patient as ever, they remained still, though an overwhelming sense of curiosity drew them. They started padding alongside the river as they scouted for where the voices were coming from. Everything got louder and louder as they pressed onward..
Until, they stopped. The voices were clear. "Ha, ha you're even more of a freak than I thought! Stingers and venom? How ridiculous and stupid and pointless. FREAK!" Now that was something. A hybrid, it must've been. As they continued their approach they could see three foxes sauntering off after nearly drowning the victim of their harassment in the very same lake they'd drank from. Once they stood by the scene they elicited a low growl, wanting to see if they could scare the bullies.
For once, they had something their mind could focus on rather than their own thoughts. They turned and dunked their head into the water, fishing for the hybrid that was forced in.

((I guess we're just starting? Coolio, I guess this is my opening post then! Also Hello Fox! It's been while, and I'm glad to have bumped into you again!
EDIT: wow this is shorter than I intended, but hey it's a start lol))
Kris woke up in a fright. He had been taking a long nap after staying up for a few nights. He had been dreaming of a sunny day, in which he had been basking in the sunlight.
It all came crashing down when he was suddenly reminded to make sure his father was okay.
Now awake, Kris had to remind himself he was living on his own now. He groaned, not quite ready to get up.
He stumbled to hid feet awkwardly, propelled by the idea of a good meal. He began to walk, his ears perked up in hope of detecting something edible. After a while, Kris had managed to nab himself... a couple large bugs.
Frustrated, he collapsed under the shade of a large maple tree.
"Is there any good dang food in this forest?" Kris yelled out of anger.
