Savannah lay in the grass, exhausted, but glad. The raid had been successful, the dragon lying dead on the ground outside its 'safehouse'. She pushed herself to her feet, soon they would get to go back to the chapperhouse, hopefully to have a bit of a rest before they would go on another raid.
The dragon was an adult, the first one they'd gotten in awhile, and while Savannah was a dragon herself, she had no remorse for killing them. After all, Talon had left her, abandoned her when she was less then five because she was "too small." Savannah had somehow found her way to St. George, and no longer cared about killing her own kind.

Ryu sighed as he waled around the perimeter of the building he and his partner had just cleared. The last thing they needed was to miss something that could kill them with a single breath. “Area’s. lear. We should probably be heading back to base, now.”

Savannah had always wondered what would happen if the order found out she was a dragon, and didn't want to find out. But the itching need to fly, to shift, even for a few minutes burned inside her.
