Naming Tradition:

• "Gender-based", so to speak. The tradition mostly follows the "sired-by/birthed-by" concept for this purpose.
• Names begin with the last 2 - 5 letters of their "same-gender" biological parent.
• Names end with a bit of FlightRising's name randomizer to make something I like.
• Not all dragons follow this tradition as some were already named before they joined the clan.
• The tradition is mostly to give me a leg-up on thinking up unique (weird) names as well as helping me sort siblings/progeny at a glance and is not an accurate representation of my ideals regarding the gender-binary.

Elder Trovin was Lost. Not literally--geographically he knew exactly where he was. But he was plagued by a feeling of untetheredness, of purposelessness. Listless, he wandered the flights, studying his morals, philosophy, and even his genealogy, in search of an anchor to tie him. One day, in the Dragonhome of Earth, he found it: the ruins of the Crystalhide Bastion.

Though other teams have a great deal of leeway in how they manage their specialties, it's Team 1 who has the final say in any disputes. Trovin is the founder and head of the clan. He is the one members go to for project approvals and he has the final say in any matters of clan management. Indii and Rihei answer directly to him. Indii works as an advisor and assistant to Trovin in matters of clan management. She heads non-military operations, and directly oversees Teams 4, 5, 7, 9 and 11. Rihei works as an advisor and assistant to Trovin in matters of clan security. She heads the military efforts of the clan, and directly oversees Teams 2, 3, 6, 8, and 10. Some of their duties entail: investigating new trading routes for the merchants, investigating reports of natural anomalies, or even just researching reports of rare ingredients in the wild. During times of war the scouts would be primarily responsible for researching enemy movements, and they do run drills and wargames with allies to keep their skills sharp, but Clan Omirao has been at peace for generations and thus other duties have become the primary work for the military. Endavi is a skilled ice mage. She sometimes has a hard time working with Medbashah due to her sensitivities, but those same sensitivities make her an excellent scout, giving her a leg-up on sensing the world around her. She has long since learned to trust her intuition in the field, and, grudgingly, so too has Medbashah. Medbashah is a walking stereotype for a plague warrior, and that's how she likes it. She has her own personal hoard collection of valuables, and she gets plenty of practice for stalking and killing prey while hunting during jobs. She is a "stalk-first, ask-never" type of ranger, and her skills in ambush warfare and out-thinking her prey have saved the team from more than one misadventure. Peraisa is the leader of Team 2. She firmly believes in the idea of "no risk, no reward", and has inadvertently lead the team into many scraps and discoveries that a more cautious leader may have missed. Still, so far her gambles have tended to pay off, and Peraisa's eccentricities are often exactly the push (or distraction) that her subordinates need to work together, despite their differences. They are the hard hitters of the clan, and are called in when the clan is threatened with violence or trouble. Of course, it has been years since the last real altercation of a military nature, so these days the military mostly works as a celebrity athletics team in war games with allies! A skilled and creative water mage, Iathyn (mis)uses her hard-won power mainly on pranks and games, these days. She and Ramoora are closer than an outsider might expect, considering their differences; they are best friends. Discipline doesn't come naturally to Iathyn like it does Ramoora, but she works hard and has a surprising spine of steel. Ramoora is a "stomp-first, ask later" kind of warrior. She is all hard-edges and military tough discipline at first glance--and at second and third glance, too. On the fourth glance, one might be lucky enough to spot her soft interior: an unyeilding loyalty to her clan and team and a wellspring of idealism so deep it sometimes gets her into trouble. Ramoora is not one to cut corners or take the easy road, and she is fiercely judgmental of those who do. "Problems with authority" is not a trait one would expect to thrive in the military, and yet, here is Tonelle, not just a longstanding part of the military structure but the actual leader of Team 3! Tonelle is not afraid to ask questions or find her own way, and over time her clear-headed drive has impressed both the leadership of Clan Omirao and the other members of the military efforts. Though she is a powerful warrior in her own right as an active member of team 3, she has truly found her home in the bureaucracy and charged political grounds of leadership.
