She smiled softly, "I'll do all that I can, but the fight you face will ultimately come down to a choice made by you. From what I saw what ever you chose someone will be severely damaged, but only one choice will save all whom you love." She handed the younger female a pendant made from a lapis lasuli chunk. "When you face the leviathan don't fear him, for he holds a good man trapped as well."

It had been all to easy to slip away from the orderlies holding him. Hyde moved quietly though the halls till he reached the room that held Ranna's mother. He injected himself with an antidote and slipped a canister of pressurized chemicals into the air duct leading to her room. The mixture was colorless, odorless, and harmless, but it made the subject inhaling it susceptible to suggestion. He waited a few moments to be sure the room had filled with the gas and that she'd breathed enough in to be open to suggestions. He knocked lightly and slipped into the room, his usual red labcoat replaced by a simple white one. "Madame do pardon the intrusion but there's something I've been meaning to ask you."

"This visit is a bit more personal than professional, you see I've found Ranna to be the most captivating woman I've ever met. If she'd have me I'd like to court your daughter. I am a bit older, but not unreasonably so, and I have a steady flow of funds to provide for her. But most importantly I'd treat her like a queen, she would want for nothing. I'd tear down the very moon or remove my own beating heart if she so desired it. I love her, and no other will ever do now that I've met her." His feelings were earnest as he spoke his eyes twinkling with the glossy haze of admiration. He didn't believe that Aster would object to his feelings for her daughter especially since he'd saved her life, but he didn't want to take any chances.

He smiled relief flooding through his mind, now he only needed to keep them here for as long as possible. Long enough for Ranna to become just as infatuated with him as he was her. "Well I've bothered you quite enough already madame, after all you look quite weak, you must be exhausted. Lie down and rest madame, I'll open a window for you." With the idea that she hadn't improved at all planted in her head she would believe she was still quite ill. He opened the window, cool night air drifting in languidly. He bid her goodnight and returned to his room stashing the lab coat and laying down on the cot as if he'd been there all along.

Archimedes looked over the neck wounds with a curled lip, "though I loath the thought whomever did this did a good job. Empress's son right, the elder boy. I'll have another cot placed in the room with your mate for you. I'd like to monitor the toxin's traveling a bit longer to be sure your system has bee purged of it entirely. Beatrix, show him to her room will you? I'll escort your daughter to the inn." The female nocturne led him to the room shutting the window when they arrived, though by that time the gas had cleared the room.

The imperial stepped out leaving his twin orderlies to clean up the room, "Ranna was it? Come with me. Your father and mother are resting here, but you'll be staying at the inn. My son has taken the liberty of purchasing a room for you, said he wanted you to have a nice place to stay while your parents heal."
