Gingertail's ears perked up at the news, letting out a joyous purr. "Aw, I love when there are new kits!" she paused for a moment, "Because they're good for the clan, of course," she added, voice lowering slightly.
"I imagine Palethroat isn't too happy to be stuck in the nursery though..." she commented, trying to shake off her own awkwardness on the subject of kits, hoping the two she-cats hadn't picked up on it.

Frecklewish made a failing attempt to hide his excitement at the idea of helping mentor the young apprentice as he turned to the hairless cat. "Sure! Though I'm sure Palethroat would rather train her herself," he said, trying to be polite but not really caring either way. However, he did make a mental note to go visit the she-cat in the nursery, he was curious about what her kits looked like. Hopefully they'd both be strong guards! Riverpaw was a good apprentice from what Frecklewish had heard, and he'd always wanted an apprentice of his own, so it would be good practice.

Sleekfoot paused for only a second before weighing her input.
"I hunted near the border, around the shrubbery. Since you're bringing apprentices, I'd suggest around the cliffsides. Not much rockfall this time of year, and lots of prey in the cracks, especially when it gets hot."
The quick, rehearsed way she said it gave the impression she had thought this out before, even thought that was clearly not the case. The brown cat then shook her head.
"But it's your choice. Good luck on your training session, Robinheart."
Palethroat nodded to Fawnpad, though she was obviously unenthusiastic about the idea.
"Sure, it'd be great having to deal with more of these. I'll make sure they don't get into trouble." To be fair, Fallowkit and Mothkit were bearable, but she didn't want to deal with them for any longer than necessary. Too much work.
Her tail twitched slightly as the two kits said hello. "I think they're both sleeping, you don't need to greet them now." She said, yawning widely. "You don't have to be silent or anything, just be mindful, eh?" The ginger and white she-cat shifted her position slightly to better watch the two kits.
Mothkit shifted slightly under the stare of the ginger and white she-cat, feeling even more exposed with Fawnpad gone. He pressed a little closer to Fallowkit, nervously pawing at the moss.
"Are you still tired, or do you wanna, umm... do a game or something? When Fawnpad's back?" Truth be told, he wasn't that interested in the idea, but Fallowkit liked running around and stuff, so maybe it would make her happy.

Kawapaw sighed. "It's too early for this." He said off-handedly. "I'm going to go eat and curl up somewhere before I get involved in anything." Kawapaw perked up quickly. "Ooh, a hunter just brought back an ember mouse, right?" Kawapaw trotted off cheerily. "I love those things!"
To be honest, Kawapaw was just stalking Cactuspaw
But he didn't have to know that
