My heart still thuds in my chest, and I walk forward carefully. "Are you aure you are okay?" I ask Foxstar as I carefully peer into the hole. Even though I'm not close enough to see fully, the darkness seems to carry on forever Would anything be down there? I think to myself.

Oh. This is embarrassing. I withdraw my claws awkwardly. She didn't need my help. I showed more trust than necessary. I barely know her!
"We don't talk about this when we leave." I mutter, and turn to explore more of the room.

Even as Sparrow was turning, the floorboards gave a loud creaking and splintering sound. I almost rushed forwards, but then I remembered the hole in front of me.
"Woah there. Maybe we should take this slowly. Very slowly and carefully." I looked across the room and into the blot of shadows hanging above the structures in the distance.
"The floor in this area here is very fragile, and we don't know what's in this room."

I place my foot in front of me carefully, the floorboards give a loud groan. I immediately take it back. I try again with another part of the floor, this time the floor collapses. I leap back in shock. "How are we going to explore this room if we can't even take a step?" I say to the others.

"The floor only seems to be unstable in this small area, so if we get across this bit we should be able to explore without too much fuss." I mused. Then I gave a cry of slight frustration.
"We're idiots!" I spread my wings and brought my legs underneath me, sprang and glided across the gap, landing on the very each of the rotten area, my legs breaking through the floor, but I scrambled out of the hole quickly. I was now level with the statue and the mirror.

I scramble for words. They can't think I'm the dumb one. I protest, "Well that was my idea too."
I copy Forster's movements, but slightly to her left.
Next time, I will be the one they follow...

"I'm sure." I glance at the small fae, then turn to Lumen. With practically the only source of light in here on the opposite side, I'm understandably a little nervous, curling my tails in close, away from the shadows.

I spring forwards, copying the others.
I stumble as I land on the other side of the room, quickly gathering myself I look around. Now, with the torch I can see what was hiding in the shadows of the room.

The dim structures at the end of the main hall appear to be three thrones, in decreasing sizes. The smallest (Still large enough for an imperial) appears to have been attacked and clawed; some marks are deeper than others. The blot of shadows above reveals itself to be a majestic painting; it seems to show a family of dragons. From this distance you can't discern any features, but perhaps if you moved closer...?
As you had landed, the firelight flickered over the mirror, and something didn't seem quite right...

I glanced around, making sure we were all far enough away from the rotten zone. The firelight, as well as illuminating the thrones and the painting, light up several piles of leaves and bushes. I head over to investigate, but underneath there is nothing but thorns.

I push past Foxstar. I need to be the first one over there!
I land on the small-ish throne, the claw marks appearing to be too large for my claws... and Foxstar's and Lumen's. Who did this?
"It's safe!" I call. "I think."
Wait... Did the floor creak a little? Is the wood cracking? Oh my goodness, should I have eaten that last honeybee? I freeze, anticipating the next seconds...
