Jacaranda awoke in the night to a not so good dream, it wasent a horrible dream nor was it splendid and lovely. She stood up and looked outside at the colorful falling leaves in the dark. Her pale blue eyes longed to be out there again. Standing. Watching. Being lighthearted... she missed it already. She went over to the window and climbed up onto it, pushing away the curtains to let her pale purpley pink sunset colored wings bask in the moonlight. She sighed.

It hadn't been such a pleasant night for some of the family, and the nights and days would only get worse, ridden with paranoia and the fear of this evil dragon who was after them. Pale was making sure to keep his mind clear with only the next objective in mind. He knew fear would only get in the way and be of no help to him, so he willed the feeling away, feeling nothing but efficiency. Flare eventually woke and dragged himself out of the nest. He was not as easily phased by the dark feeling that had fallen upon the cave. As bright as he was, he would be a light to the family in their time of need. His words, thoughts, actions, and personality would blaze brightly like a beacon of hope. The twin uncles would try their best to be another light, to sing and dance and try to be merry, but Jolly could feel the ever present darkness in the cave too strongly. And eventually, Rift's aura would send him into fits of fear, which would disturb his twin. For now, though, the twins were relaxing this morning. Flare went to the main cavern to relight the fire in the fireplace. He looked to his younger brothers and greeted them with a smile and began to discuss plans for scouting and training schedules. When Pale heard this, he was snapped out of his trance. He listened for a while before he laid down and forced himself to sleep for at least a while.

Jacaranda wanted to sleep but she couldn't. Something was bugging her inside, she was already a very huge dragonet and her spine were sharp and jagged while her claws were long and pointy with a spear like tip. She felt like she could help her family if she learned to fight, they always needed more help and she did want to be like Noble. She sat on the window and pondered this.

Unbeknownst to the entire family, save for Pale, Noble had a life outside of the cave, which was hard to believe, since she was rarely spotted outside of it. In the past few years, Noble had taken it upon herself to patrol and police certain areas in Possibility, much like a vigilantly. She also went on small treks to save other dragons, or just save them in the immediate vicinity. She was starting small for now, but eventually, she would be somewhat of a ranger or hero. Noble was slowly expanding her area and making connections, and Pale was one of them. He would never say a word of it, as the two simply had a silent respect for each other. For now, though, Noble guarded the cave in Hailstone's place. The twin uncles were cooking now, a fine cuisine for the morning.

Jacaranda looked at her Sharp dagger like claws and sighed. She didn't know what to do, if she chose to fight, there was always a chance she could die and making her mother see her fight in the first place wouldn't make her mother feel the best...it would make her feel like she was loosing her family a little bit. Jacaranda decided she'd sit in the yard a little while so she jumped out her window into a pile of leaves before walking to the front of the yard and jumping the fence to stare at the moon in the middle of the yard.

It took several hours, by the time Jolly and Loon had finished a particularly complicated roast, basted in rich glazes, for Mirth to wake. This is what Jolly knew to do in attempt to cheer his family up. Loon simply loved cooking by his brother's side, who he now frequently hugged and cuddled since he could. Mirth could smell the wonderful cooking, and indeed it lightened his mood. His sleep had been tiring itself, and not fulfilling. He hadn't dreamed or felt a thing. At least now he was calmed and still surrounded by his beloved family. Mirth looked around his room, wondering where his sister had gone. He had remembered her being there when he was awake. Figuring she must've woken a long time ago, he finally left the nest for the day, to sit in the main cavern and gather himself.

Jacarandas eyes slowly began to close, her dark eyelashes went to meet the bottoms of her eyes and she fell sideways in the grass with a plunk as she fell asleep to the smell of roast. When she would finally awake it would be morning. The light morning sun bathed her lavender and rose colored scales, making her shimmer in the light.

After a few minutes of just smelling a perfect roast and watching it be repeatedly covered in a golden, steaming glaze, Mirth wander outside, hearing Jolly begin to sing while he finished up the cooking. Easily he spotted his sister outside, the light of an early morning sun reflecting her brilliantly colored scales like a shining beckon of perfectly hued flowers. He walked up to her with his body low to the ground. He had been feeling rather insecure and unconsciously slunk low to the ground, moving softly, much like a frightened cat or snake attempting to conceal itself. The sun reflecting from his own scales, however, since he was mostly light colors. The pale white scales were soft on the eyes, even when shining so brightly in the sun. The silver talons, tail, spines, and horn were far more obvious in such lighting, as if they'd been dipped like decorative china or knickknacks. Even silver flecks in his white and black scales could be seen in this light, much like his egg had been. The black scales were dulled by the light, but looked like gaps in his scales, as if he did not exist in those places. Mirth looked at his sister's scales for a while, admiring their perfect shine. "Jacaranda?" He practically whispered, still low to the ground, peering up at her cautiously.

Jacaranda felt the warm sun on her back and it sootherd her into a more comfortable sleep, but when she heard the ever so wonderful sound of her brothers soft silken voice. When she heard it, it was like a lullaby and she smiled softly in her sleep and her ear twitched in recognition. "Mirth?" She asked and she giggled softly before opening her soft pastel sky blue eyes.

Mirth's silver stained eyes looked back at his sister's soft blue's. He was a bit frightened from last night, but he remembered he had been a bother. "I want to apologies for... last night. I worried you, and kept you awake. You must be tired this morning." His gentle voice was quiet and ashamed. He looked down, the mercury silver eyes darting around the grass. Jolly and Loon were moving the roast from the fire and preparing it to be eaten. They were soon going to called the family to breakfast, but first, Jolly was going to garnish the dish with sides and beautiful herbs.
