Surrounding your cell are many hybrids and animals of all kinds. Some are sleeping and some are trying relentlessly to get out. You try to unlock the cell door, but it won't budge. Scientists rush into the room towards you, and enter the cell by pressing on a rectangular device. They hold a a sharp metal bar and stab your leg. You cry out in pain, and then fall unconscious. [b]THE LAB MAP:[/b] Testing rooms- Scientists bring you here from time to time to test you with chemicals and study your body. Cell rooms- These rooms are full of hybrids locked up, most of the time you'd stay here. The "Outside" - Rarely, you are let out to a enclosed and heavily armed backyard near the cells, this is your closest to freedom. The Arena - To test your strength and stamina, scientists force you to fight with another hybrid. The fight stops when you are either too wounded to even move, or when you die. The Hospital - No one really works here, but if the injury serious enough, a doctor will help you out. Especially when others bully his friends and family. Though seeming to be kind, he is hard on winning someone's trust due to past experiences. Cal is clever, and trying to find a way to escape the prison. Abilities: He has gills to help him breathe under water, and amazing swimming abilities. When hit by his tail, you will be knocked back at least 12 feet. His stamina never seems to run out and his speed goes up to 40 mph. He does have weaknesses though. He is afraid of heights and if the water he swims in is too polluted or salty, he will refuse to swim in it. Crush/Mate: TBD Backstory: Cal is an orphan, taken away from his parents at a very young age. He reveals little about where he is from, but if you earn his trust enough, you may find something out. Personality: Ev is a sweetheart once in a blue moon. She shares the vixen behavior of her mother, flirtatious and bold, sly and cunning. However her prickly father landed her with nerves of weak spaghetti and an overactive imagination that drives her to the craziest things. Crazy smart, but ambitiously dumb, Ev either grows on people like moss, or is quickly hated and discarded.

Abilities: obvious traits such as burrowing and shooting quills from her back like a machine gun, however Ev can also see in the dark as though it were day, she can withstand temperatures of both extreme heat and extreme cold, and regenerates quills like none other. Because of her small smallish, she is incredibly nimble and swift, however due to her quills she cannot back up most of the time, she also struggles heavily when swimming or sneaking through thick underbrush due to her quills dragging her down both from weight and their tendency to stick to everything.

Crush/Mate: none yet

Backstory: in an attempt to create a creature as cunning and strikingly iconic, all while giving it something terrifyingly protective like a porquiepine, Ev was created. Never knowing her mother or father, but being raised by two harsh masked scientist in an attempt to bring out her full potential to save her from extinction. She has since grown a vile and bitter taste towards several of the scientists at the facility, andhas left many looking like pin cushions.

-Has short black hair
-Has bright green eyes with black scleras; lacks any pupils

-Webbed hands and feet; webbings are a transparent yellow
-Five small white claws on hands and feet instead of fingernails
-Slightly yellowish tinted beak replacing mouth
-Has normal human ears instead of turtle ears and human teeth as well
-Has a slightly spined shell on his back
-Has a turtle tail
-Basically has an appearance close to a Kappa, except without the "dish" atop his head and other small features

Personality: Loch likes to be positive, though he won't fully ignore negative feelings or events. He enjoys making friends and likes to make as many as possible. He becomes hostile whenever the group he is in is threatened and will gladly defend his friends. He is pretty curious as well, as most children are, loving adventure and exploring. Escaping is his dream, and he wants to see the world he has barely ever seen before. He can't really be hurt by words, but he can be hurt by actions. If he isn't thinking about the outside world, he is thinking about his parents and what they may look like, because he can't remember them.

Abilities:
-Has night vision, though he sees only green when it activates, like the night vision that humans use on rifles for example.
-Sturdier than normal thanks to the shell, though it can't withstand everything. And no, he can't withdraw in it like turtles can.
-He can swim efficiently and is generally faster in the water; his shell is also lighter than most turtles' shells, so he isn't weighed down by it. He isn't as fast on land, in fact he is as fast as a child is, which isn't as fast as a canine or adult.
-Weaknesses include an intense fear of needles of any kind as well as pain, though sometimes he will get over this, but not always.
-Despite having scales, they can be ripped open as easily as human flesh. The defensive part of him comes from his shell, not his scales.

Crush/Mate: Nope!

Backstory:
-Loch was seemingly taken from his family when he was about three years old. He was actually given away to a laboratory by his parents, who wanted to do so. He of course doesn't know this. There he was experimented on over and over until the hybrid he is now was created. He was the scientists' attempt to create something similar to a Kappa, a mythological creature that looked like a cross between a human child and a turtle, maybe even some bird in there. He would feel scarred by that if it weren't for his positive attitude. This is also why his fear of needles is so deadly to him. He of course broke out of that laboratory recently, but has only been free for a limited amount of time, less than a day in fact. He was captured once again, due to his poor survival skills, and now he is in this cell, trapped once more. He dislikes the "whitecoats" as he likes to call them and prefers to make things harder for them, being persistent.

Personality: Oisea is rather reserved- more of a watcher than a doer, in most cases. She prefers to wait and analyze a situation before getting into it. It foesn't help that she's been largely isolated for most of her life for training. With friends, she becomes more open and lighthearted. These friends may find it good to know that she is fiercely loyal and defensive of anyone she feels close with. Despite her generally polite or friendly personality, it is best to keep in mind that she can and will hold a grudge for a very, very long time. She knows that other hybrids plan escapes often, but she rarely gets involved, as they try the same thing over and over. Actually, she's even made it into a sort of game: how long will the escape plan last in action?

Abilities:

• Silent and speedy flight with quick maneuvering capabilities (still in training/testing, so wings have not been clipped)
• Wickedly sharp talons (dulled by the scientists to avoid injury)
• Greatly advanced hearing and eyesight
• Resistant to cold, but gets hot easily
• Defenseless aside from talons
• Not particularly well trained in combat

Crush/Mate: N/A currently (though open to a relationship). Hasn't really interacted with anyone enough to develop a crush.

Backstory: Oisea was developed to be the first generation of a program producing avian hybrids for various uses, likely military by her guess. Her genes were spliced and developed to make a model spy- silent flight, heightened vision and hearing, etc. They had her in testing sinse before she was fledged, generally having her track game getting steadily smaller and smaller until she could pinpoint a mouse under a foot of artificial snow. When she had fledged, the scientists wasted no time in training her how to fly, and eventually how to maneuver smoothly and silently. She was recently moved to a more public hall to make room for more new specimens in her old cage.
