"For deaths sakes is he stupid?" Umber let out a puff of air. "I'm not running after him. Too far away, and then we'd both be alone." his nose twitching.
Cheshire shrugged. "I guess there's no way to fight him on the matter. He's rather independent." His purple eyes watching the holes in the ceiling watching the receding teal. The main presence was gone for now. He wasn't quite sure what to think really.

"Belief is only half the healing. Belief of the cure. Belif of the future. belief of what happens in the future."
"Seriously? Did that-" Sabri let out a hiss of air. "did that seriously just happen?" He ran a trembling hand through his hair. "Here's to hoping he'll find his way back sooner or later, despite kinda just ignoring us."
The halfling returned to dragging his fingers along the walls, tracing sentances in halfhearted Arabic. Sabri's eyes occasionally darted towards the area where Sage run off to. "Perhaps we should make a buddy system or something when he returns." He hummed. "That way no one gets completely lost, especially since it seems Kit's the only one who bothered to do research."

"That would be smart." Umber spoke calmly his eyes glinting,"Although he's stupid. Why go playing with fire like that, and why haven't you been paying attention, Cheshire?" Looking at him pointedly.
"I actually doubt it's anything, probably just old residual energy." Huffing a bit as he stood up and leaned on the wall. Umber sighed and shook his head. "I believe it just did, although I wouldn't be surprised if he turned into a banshee." Cheshire spoke with a light grin, trying to put them at ease.

Sage grinned as he explored the attic, his camera set to night vision more to get a perfect view of the dark. " Now folks, out brave hero has single-handedly discovered the true secret of the haunted building, it's so boring that all the other people moved away." He laughed at his own joke and looked around, glad he did this on his own. He was about to turn around when he heard a freak from ahead of him. He froze and looked around, his eyes giving him perfect night vision but not seeing anything. "Hello?" He said as he walked toward the are he heard the noise. He walked around a closet and froze, looking down at a skeleton. It was covered in cobwebs and had on jeans and a black shirt, it looked fine except for the being dead part. He looked down, making sure it was on video before stepping back. Maybe going off alone wasn't too bright, he thought.

Kit smiled a bit, "If he gets lost at least his video won't end up online." Though she only spoke teasingly, she was moving around the room looking at some of the supports, "He still shouldn't have run off on his own though, any part of this place could come down any minute."

It had been following Sage, moving through the walls. Freezing when he watched the skeleton be exposed. Found my secret. Cant be allowed to live. Can't show others video. It quietly moved from the wall and into the shadows of the room, darting about, once in front of the camera in the shape a deep black shadow.

Umber hissed as he felt it grow and form. This would be the only time, it was only the first hours in anyways. If the ghost here wanted to take them, well they'd have to be far more patient. "Cheshire. Scythe now. And for deaths sakes don't wait to summon it."
He blinked and summoned it. The energy toll already visible by the way he skin paled. Striking the ground causing every bit of residual energy to raise up and flee from the reapers blade. Making a wall of it which would push any spirit back and back until they reached their border of their trapped areas. He felt it against the border it hadn't wanted to move but it did and it flew back. The only sign this ever happened was the wind that picked up and tore about the building always going the direction away from him.
But this took more energy than should be. Stumbling back leaning on the wall paler than paper breathing heavy before he teetered forwards his eyes shut. Before hitting the ground if he wasn't knocked out he was now. His scythe laying besides him it's form wavering. He had grown a sort of protective nature to the group but now he could save them no longer. I'm a quiet detached voice.
"No more....." before slipping away completely. Umber watched this and he cringed. Moving residual energies took energy and it took all he had. Barely clinging to the surface world.
Jumping off kit and slowly moving forwards. "He should be fine. Just got a little spooked and sent to much into it." A hollow note echoing back before falling still and silent.

Sage turned around in the attic, he thought he saw something on. He blinked around him, looking, but there was nothing there. He shrugged and kept moving, not realizing he was going further and further into the attic. He eventually reached a empty portion of it. He grinned and and started his camera on a still a little bit away, turning it to face him. He then spun dramatically, " alright ghost or whatever it is you are." For once his voice was deadly serious. " You want some of me then come get some." His eyes were blowing blue in the dark and he had a faint aura around him.

Kit moved forward and kneeled by his side even as Umber was speaking. She looked a bit worried but nodded at the rabbit's words. "Take care of him, I'm gonna go find Sage before he does something even stupider than running off alone." Turning as she ran to grab a flashlight first she went to find Sage. Focusing on using her hearing to locate him. For one having freakish animal hearing is useful. she thought when she faintly heard his voice. Grinning at what she heard him say she moved quickly and quietly until she was just outside the doorway where he was. Turning off her light she crept into the room.

It was standing behind him, using the darkness to hide itself. It'd been about to pounce when it heard the girl in the room. Hissing gently it brushed past him lightly touching his leg on accident, and dropped down to catch the girl before she could find Sage.

"Alright." Padding over and settling on his chest. Curling up and laying his head down eyes watching his uneven breaths. Twitching his nose. This place was bad news and he couldn't create a barrier any longer. A reaper could only save people once every year. So he would hve to stand by. A feeling he knew Cheshire didn't like but it was unavoidable.

He felt it move by him and grinned, knowing that it was done for. He focused and charged his energy before following it. All he had to do was touch it now. He chased it towards another doorway that he had missed. He felt the ghost standing there and charged, blinking when it was suddenly gone and in its place was Kit. He tried to stop but ran into her, knocking them both down and onto the floor. I groaned and looked down realizing he was on top of her he grinned lightly. " You know when they I say that all the girls always fall for me, I usually don't mean it quite so litterally."
