@SoulLugia11 Malubog stalked through the Tangled Wood, tracking a beastclan rambra. She knew she wasn't supposed to be in the Shadowbinders territory, or outside of the Sundial Terrace at all, but the bossy and condescending scholars of her clan were starting to get on her nerves. She would never leave her clan, but she needed a break.

Something about an artifact being missing... he couldn't quite place it. He was patrolling around the area looking for any suspicious activity; he requested to do so, and Welun, the leader, had given him permission. He needed a break from all the noise anyway. Luckily, he didn't have to go alone. Maka had joined him, and they were walking together. It felt good to have someone around, especially her. Maka whispered, her voice laced with wariness. "Don't know," he responded. "Let's keep quiet." "That was kind of obvious," she remarked under her breath. Maka was nice to be around, but she could be a little annoying sometimes. Soul spotted a Rambra run out in front of them. It looked tiny compared to the two Imperials. He chuckled to himself while Maka glared at him in confusion. "What's so funny?" she demanded to know. "Look out! It's a tiny Rambra! If I were you, I would start running right about now!" he replied, laughing. "Wow, that's very funny... your sense of humor annoys me sometimes." "Alright, alright, I'm sorry," Soul apologized. "It was funny for a second though, right?" "Yeah, sure, whatever," Maka mumbled. rolling her eyes. Just then they heard even more rustling coming from up ahead. Soul walked forward, going to inspect the sound. This rustling sounded louder than the Rambra, so he was prepared this time. The Rambra was wandering off when even more of them came towards the Imperial. He was startled and stayed put, the Beastclan of Rambra running around him. Maka leapt up and hovered over the ground so the Rambra wouldn't run her over.

Malubug paused. There were dragons nearby. She quickly turned to stalk away when a hoard of rambras appeared out of nowhere and caused quite the racket. She jumped in surprise and got caught in thick bramble. Using her claws and teeth, she clumsily broke free and flew up into the air, only to come face to face with an imperial dragon from the shadow flight (Maka)

Maka yelped as a Guardian flew out from the thick bramble in front of her. Soul turned to see who it was. He snarled at first, running towards Maka to defend her, but sighed when he saw the Guardian. She was of the Light Flight... kind of odd. Then again, the clan the two Imperials had come from had a couple light dragons in it.

Still... this wasn't exactly the right time to have light dragons here...

"Who are you?" Soul questioned, allowing Maka some time to recover from the surprise. "And what are you doing here? I'm a bit worried, seeing a Light dragon here when there seems to be arguing between the Shadowbinder and the Lightweaver. Oh, and don't worry, we won't bite; she just gets surprised easily."

"Oh, shut up over there," Maka remarked, irritated. "I'm not easily surprised. I just didn't see that coming, that's all!"

"I really don't want to have this talk again, Maka. Not in front of this stranger, please..."

There was a pause before the female Imperial nodded. "Yeah, you've got a point... but when we get back-!"

"Oh jeez, it never ends..."

Soul looked back at the guardian, trying to be as friendly as possible, not wanting to start a fight. "Sorry about that. This is just how we are, but we get along fine. Anyway, my name is Soul, and this is Maka. Now, who are you?"

"Ummm"
Oh no. Malubog was never any good at conversing with other dragons, and it seems like it was getting tight between light and dark dragons.
"I was hunting for my clan. I've been tracking that herd of rambra for days, and you just made them scatter! Now I can't bring home nearly enough meat for my clan"
Malubog knew she was avoiding the question, but her statement was true. Anything to conceal the fact that she was from the light flight.

"Oh dear. I'm sorry," Maka apologized, looking to the side... and seeing that Soul had disappeared. Why do you always have to do that?! Couldn't you at least tell me where you're going?

She didn't want to give chase at the moment, not with the Guardian still standing in front of her. "Um... well, I have no idea where he just went," she said, referring to Soul. "Anyway, a bit odd for a Light dragon to be here right now. I mean, we have a couple Light dragons back at our clan, but they've been in hiding. We technically aren't supposed to mention we have them, but you don't seem too hostile like the other Shadow dragons around here. Besides, you yourself are a Light dragon, are you not?"

Maka didn't seem to notice that the Guardian still hadn't said her name yet, avoiding Soul's question earlier. She wouldn't really care about that either way; even though she herself wasn't a Shadow dragon, she was still technically apart of the Shadow flight.

Soul had stalked off to find the herd of Rambra, aiming to get them for the Guardian, who had avoided his question entirely. Maka may not notice things like that, but I do...

He went on until he found some standing around. Perfect! He snuck around them, then pounced. The Beastclan couldn't even run away; the Imperial was large and blocked their exit. After a couple minutes, he had managed to successfully bring them all down.

He then became confused as to how he was going to drag the rambras all the way back to where the Guardian and Maka were. He spotted a net just lying on the ground - probably left behind - and grabbed it. He dragged all the bodies near it, then held the opening of the net open while shoving the bodies in the net.

S'bout 17, maybe 19 in there... should be enough. He threw the net over his back and began to make his way back when he heard quiet chatter nearby. He hid behind a tree to see what was going on.

"If you see any Light dragons, bring them down," a Shadow Guardian said to another dragon. The other dragon, a Skydancer, nodded. "We'll be sure to. The Shadowbinder's been getting tight with the Lightweaver after all."

"Yeah. We can't let any Light dragons dwell here, or else she will be displeased. See a Light dragon, eliminate them. There's no escorting being done here."

When Soul heard this, his eyes widened slightly. That Guardian needed to get out of here, now. Unfortunately, his movements caught the leader's attention, causing the dragon to roar at him.

"You there! Were you listening to our conversation? What are you doing?!"

Don't listen to him, run and don't look back! You're an Imperial, aren't you? You can handle these guys. "I got done hunting a few seconds ago, and I was just passing by. I didn't hear a single word of your conversation, sir," he said calmly, keeping a cool composure.

The Guardian thought on this for a moment before nodding to him. "Okay then," he replied. "Sorry to have bothered you. You may go along and forget that we ever saw each other."

Soul nodded, just wanting to get to the Guardian to warn her. As he was leaving, he noticed the Skydancer giving him a suspicious look out of the corner of his eye. Once he had gotten some distance away, he looked behind him to see if anyone followed, then broke into a run; he was sure the Skydancer was following him, despite not seeing it around.

He reached the two dragons and gently placed the net full of Rambras on the ground. "I believe this is yours," he said to the Guardian, pushing it towards her. "Anyways, we have to go. A herd of dragons is hunting down Light dragons, and it won't be long until they find you. This net seems a bit heavy for you; not so much for me, though. You won't be able to flee fast enough before they find you."

"So, what do you suggest then?" Maka asked, tilting her head. She almost instantly regretted asking that because she already knew what the response was going to be.

"I thought you would know this by now," he said to Maka. "We go along with her. That way, if she gets attacked, she can haul the meat back home without getting hurt. We can handle a group of dragons, right? We've come across worse before, this is no different."

"Look, whatever the case, we should probably hurry up!" Maka whispered impatiently. "It's no good just waiting for them to find us, after all!"

"Uhhhh,"

Malubog had dug herself into a hole so deep that she could never clamber out of it. These two Shadow dragons were going to escort her back to her clan, carrying meat she didn't deserve, and worst of all, discover that she was a member of a light clan.

"Could you please take me about fifty miles from the southwestern border of the shadow territory? My clan is located near there, and I don't think they would appreciate two new dragons barging in. From there I can carry the meat back to my clan"

This should work. As long as the dragons didn't follow her or insist that they escort her all the way back to the clan, this plan would work.

"And do you have a strip of thin cloth to tie over my eyes?"

Soul and Maka glanced at each other, a little confused. A strip of cloth...?

Oh yeah, Soul suddenly thought, figuring it out. She needs it because if we get caught, her eyes can't be seen, and thus no one will know she's a Light dragon.

Oh, I see now! Maka thought back. Since the two imperials were constantly around each other, they were constantly resonated (get it? XD), and could communicate with each other by using their thoughts. This proved to be useful, especially when they were fighting, as to not outright give their strategy away to their foes.

I brought some cloth with me in case either of us were attacked. You know how it is, things are getting tense around here, and the dragons are getting more restless about it.

Yeah, I just met a couple of those dragons, and I'm pretty sure they're secretly following us, so we should hurry this up.

Maka nodded and took out some cloth, using her claws to cut it thin. She bent down to tie it over the Guardian's eyes. "Wait, how are you gonna get back the rest of the way with a cloth over your eyes? Do you have x-ray vision or something?" she asked, confused once more.

As Maka was questioning the guardian, Soul looked around, eventually seeing a pair of eyes in the dark. Luckily, it couldn't see the Guardian's eyes, since Soul was blocking the way. When he approached the bushes, the eyes disappeared, the figure running away.

Do I run after it and risk getting lost? Or do I stay here and risk being discovered? If we're found helping a Light dragon it could mean serious trouble... no matter which decision I go with, I'm running a risk here.

He noticed that Maka was now staring at him, concerned. "Is everything alright?" she asked.

"Nope," Soul replied simply. "Someone was watching us. Luckily, they didn't see your eyes." He addressed the Guardian, becoming a little annoyed that he still didn't know her name. "We have to be quick. We'll guide you to where you want to go and then leave you to it, as you desire."

Are you sure about that? Maka said to Soul mentally.

Yes, I'm sure. What, do you want to keep following her?

Well, I mean, kind of... those dragons you say you met earlier will probably catch her, and then what?

She has a blindfold on. Unless one of them has x-ray vision, they wouldn't be able to tell if she's Light or not. They didn't attack me when they saw me, after all.

Yeah, you have a good point... but it's still risky...

Either way, there's no turning back now. We have to help this Guardian, and get her to where she needs to go.

Maka nodded in agreement, and both of them smirked at each other. Yeah, telepathy was definitely the way to go in situations like this. Soul walked up to the Guardian, tapping her on the shoulder before taking a couple steps ahead. "Alright then," he started. He closed his eyes for a few seconds, beginning to expand his spiritual essence until it reached the guardian behind him.

"Follow me by my essence. I expanded it so you would be able to feel it, and thus follow us easier. Maka will be right behind us, watching for any danger. Now, with that out of the way, let's go!"

He began his walk, expecting the Guardian to follow.

Maka looked down at the Guardian, grinning. "By the way, what is your name? We're kind of tired of calling you 'the Guardian', so we would love to know."

Ignoring Maka, Malubog said, "I'll be fine with the cloth over my eyes. I'm a hunter, I've learned not to rely on sight for everything"

Turning to Maka, she explained, "I don't want to reveal my name if there are spies nearby. Names are powerful words, and are all you need to discover a dragons identity. Let's go"

Well then, Maka thought, slightly annoyed. At the same time, she was relieved this Guardian could make it back safely with the blindfold on. She understood why the Guardian wouldn't say her name, as Soul had spotted a spy earlier, just minutes before they left, so they needed to be careful.

With a flick of her tail, she started to walk forward, following her friend. He was pretty good at this leader stuff; after all, he was an assisting leader alongside Welun, so that would make sense. As they walked along, Maka couldn't help but hear a bit of rustling around her. Her thoughts told her the rustling sound was just them walking or some small creature in the brambles, but she had a feeling her judgement wasn't very keen. She needed someone who had keen senses...

Soul, she thought, getting in contact with him. Did you hear that rustling noise?

Yes, I'm assuming you did as well. What do you think it is?

I don't really know, why do you think I'm asking you?

Because you're dying to know my secrets. Maka caught the playful sarcastic tone and quietly growled in annoyance.

Hilarious. Get back on topic!

Fine, fine. I think something's nearby, so we have to move faster.

Noted. Could've told me that the first time.

But it's fun messing with you!

Whatever. Thanks for the warning.

You're welcome. Anytime.

Maka quickened her pace, as did Soul. They expected the Guardian to do the same while looking around uneasily.

(you can add a random threat in if you want, like a group of dragons or something like that :) )
