(Thank you, My holiday certainly went well. How was yours?)

With a low hiss, Teutorix narrowed his eyes. Saying nothing, he just stood and looked around at the golem and the nocturnes. Suddenly he was dragged back by a familiar purple claw.
"What Are You Doing!" Twilight roared onto the skydancer's face. with an angered hiss, the large bogsneak yanked her needles out of teutorix's claws and plunged them into his flank, knocking him out immediately.
She looked up at the dragons and golem ahead of her.

"Gods, I am so sorry about that, I have no Idea what's gotten into him. I might just drop him off at camp. While I'm out, do you want some food? I might be able to convince our clan leader to lend some food out of our hoard for you both."

Hearing Twilight handle Teutorix, Kaden let his barrier fade just enough to be seen through. Inside, Vin could be seen curled up defensively beneath Kaden's wings. On Kaden's face, a mixture of fear and fury was very clear.

"It would probably be best if you leave them be for a short while. Kaden in particular will need to calm down a fair bit before you'll get any form of understandable speech out of him," the golem stated, apparently unfazed by Twilight's sudden appearance, "They have their own rations with them, but an offering of food may be an easier way to get them to calm down. as for myself, I will stay here to watch over them, and be their voice till they are calm once more."

Twilight nodded to the golem.
"Thank you. I'll be back in a little while."
With that, twilight slid out of the den and made her way to the camp. After speaking to nightkaia, she left teutorix in the clan and swiped a bit of food from the hoard.
Stuffing insects, plants, and a bit of meat in her bag, she made her way back to the visitor's den.
"That idiot teutorix. I swear. He's going to jeopardize my whole operation. I am going to dunk him in Blackrose's cauldron one day. I hope Vin and Kaden are ok."
Dropping half of the meat and the plants in her den, she went to the den that held the two startled nocturnes.
"Sorry about teutorix, I'll leave this here." She said, dumping the rest of the food in front of Vin and Kaden.
"I'll be in my own den if you need me. Also, we should probably leave when the sun comes up by the way."
With that, she turned away and sauntered off to her den.

When Twilight had returned to drop off food, the barrier over Vin and Kaden had finally been dispelled. Paying little attention to the Bogsneak, they were more occupied reassuring each other in an odd, flowing, language.

"Thank you Twilight. I'll be sure they come and thank you themselves once they're in a more agreeable state for interaction. Shouldn't be long though, hunger is one of the many great mediators in nature," the golem said, sorting through the offered food to divide it equally, "They will be ready by the time morning comes though."

After some time, the two nocturnes would emerge from the visitor's den. While Vin seemed to be fully at ease, Kaden hovered over him with wings outstretched like a shield. Reaching Twilight's den, Kaden stayed outside while Vin entered.
"Twilight, Kaden and I would like to thank you, both for the food, and defending us," Vin said, a hint of unease clinging to his voice, "We know not what we did wrong to warrant such an attack, but we hope we can atone for this."

Twilight, not daring to try to stand in fear of startling Vin and Kaden, just turned her head and smiled.
"Oh, don't worry, neither of you did anything wrong, It's just teutorix is very uncomfortable around lightning dragons even though he was one of them. Apparently, he was the leader of a lost clan up in the Tempest Spire, but the clan ended up betraying him, his whole family, turning on him and attacking him. He ended up fleeing here to my clan and stayed ever since."

She looked up at VIn.

"He was not going to kill you by the way. He was probably going to just knock you out and take you to the clan as prisoners at best. Make some gossip by saying he defeated you both all by himself, then ask Nightkaia to send you back to the Shifting Expanse. Also, Don't look so nervous. I won't attack you. I really need to make up for the abysmal behavior of my clanmate.

"I.... OK. It's just that we've never had someone try to attack us in such a manner before. Every attack we've endured before came while we were awake. We're no strangers to violence due to who we are, but never have we thought that an attack could happen in out sleep," Vin explained, taking a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself, "I suppose we're just too used to the walls of our home. We're also not used to being attacked because of where we came from. Most times, it's because of our choice in partners."

"Yes, well, you could say you saved your clan from a fury not seen for centuries. Those who returned us would likely have been met with extreme aggression, and Teutorix would have more than just dragons hunting him down once the situation was explained," Kaden said, entering the den, "Unjust attacks are grounds for our patron, the Flamekeeper Kelan Flarion, to take matters into his own hands. If none of our own go a hold of Teutorix first, Kelan would find him for sure. A mortal does not have the ability to hide themselves from a being who can fallow the essence of life."

"Yes, there is that too, but it's still shaking to have such securities broken. I do suppose it's better that he had those syringes turned back on him though. I'd hate for this clan to be marked because of the actions of one member," Vin said, leaning against Kaden for support, "It would turn into a fight of misunderstandings."

"Hmm, Well, Don't underestimate us. We will fight to protect him for he is indeed one of our own, and we all would protect him with what we had. Some of us may dislike him, but it is just our nature as a clan to protect each other. However, even so, I would hate to bring conflict between our clans. I'd like to believe that we may be able to come to be allies at a time."

Twilight stood and stretched, Flapping her wings gently to exercise them. WIth a sigh, she readjusted her bacs and made sure to secure her equipment on to her bag tightly to prevent any more accidents.

"By the way," She said, looking up at vin and kaden "None in our clan would attack based on your choice in partners. If our leader got any wind of that, the dragon who did so would be given heavy punishment. She would never tolerate that sort of attack. Ever. Most likely because I heard that when she was younger she had a female mate, and she was killed in a battle against a...certain clan. Anyway, we should probably get going. Dawn is quickly approaching."

"Our clan's not too fond of such ideals either. It's always visitors who are the cause of an attack over such things back home. Since we see to countless others as a place of medicine and healing, we see our fair share of different opinions. Unless the offender has a critical illness or injury, we have them removed from our lair since we have little time to deal with such petty squabbles," Vin said, "Those who's conditions are critical are taken to a more secluded room to be treated as apposed to the more frequented areas. Once they're condition is stable and holding, they're escorted out."

"Well, I suppose our first stop will be to make communication with the Flamecaller. If Teutorix is to be joining our collective travels, I'd think we would wait for whatever was in those syringes to wear off before traveling too far out," Kaden said, seeming relieved at Twilight's words, "As much as I'd love to just leave him here, it isn't advantageous to do so. It is much safer to travel in a group of four as apposed to three, even if one is untrusting of the others. Our own clan's enemies will be looking for us for sure, to sever our contracts with the deities, and weaken our defenses."

"Well," Twilight sighed "If you really want to wait for him to wake, it might be a little while, because first, it was quite a strong sleep potion, and it was two full doses of it. I'll be lucky if i didn't accidentally kill him. Oh well. I'll make sure that I explain the situation to our Nightkaia. Anyway, I feel like we probably should just head off anyway."

SHe fiddled with a dead bug in her claws before speaking again
"Maybe We should leave. I don't really want another situation between him and you both. I mean, We won't really be hindered in our progress. But I guess if you're sure, then we'd best sit and wait a while. So, what is your clan like?" Twilight said awkwardly, in an attempt to make a bit of small talk.

"That.. that's a good question. It would really depend on what time of day it is really. Aside from who's active affecting the overall feel, we are a clan of healers. You could very easily say our clan's name is well deserved," Vin said, taking a seat himself, "All things considered, it's peaceful back home. If not for the occasional burst of hostility from visiting clans, we'd probably be rather boring outside the treatment rooms and trade stalls."

"As for what our lair is like, you could probably liken it to a well guarded vault with internal facilities. Unlike the many other clans that are granted the title ancient, we don't live within reach of the Tempest Spire. Rather, our lair is situated within the mesa the Spire is perched on top of. There's only one entrance, and it's guarded by several of our own, as well as sealed with a large metal door," Kaden said once Vin finished speaking, "That said, our lair has been carved from the stone itself, making a large enough cavern to house its own weather. Like we said yesterday though, we don't pay patronage to any of the eleven deities, at least not like other clans do with their exalted. We are neutral to all the flights, offering medical assistance to all who come to us, be them god or mortal, with a few exceptions."

"Yes, it is because of this neutrality that we must send two of our own to speak with the deities every few years to renew pacts that have been signed with each of them. Without those pacts, we loose any and all protection we have from them," Vin explained, using a claw to scratch out a map of Sornieth on the floor, "Kaden mention there being exceptions to out hospitality, and it is those very exceptions that would try to stop these regular renewals. The one we're likely to run into though is the Krunnen, a clan of ruthless mirrors who would see every weak or ill being die."
