Polemos peered down at those that chose the healing potion.

"You think ahead," he said calmly, "though it may prove too little too late. The world is crawling with terrible things that it will need a healing potion. But how long it will last and how well it will work is a whole different story."

He blinked at the group for a moment before nodding and turning slightly to the side, his wing exposing a piece of dusty trail. It seemed clearer than the other ones lined with skulls and roots. "Follow this one," he commanded, "and perhaps it will be a more peaceful journey."

With that, he spread open his wings and took to the air.

He knows he's the least physical of the group, but he can feel the leylines here are pulsating with Plague magic. It may not be the strongest element for him, but at least he can tap into it to help bolster his magical reserves. So long as he can cast magic, he will have value within this newly formed group. He gives Polemos a genteel nod. "Thank you for your help, Polemos," he states as he follows along behind the Wildclaw doctor and the Guardian. "Since we'll be traveling together, we should at the very least learn one another's names. You may call me Yetunth," the fae states as he flits along.

"I guess i would be more of the warrior type. Maybe i should have picked up that sword." he tilted his head slightly at the Wildclaw's thick accent.. an accent he himself recognized, being raised in a plague clan himself. It was the accent of a nearby tribe of dragons. Marburg adjusted his armor smoothly, his rotclaw reaching for the female Guardian. He slapped it with a claw, causing it to recoil with a faint whimpering sound. "Well, if you weren't misbehaving i wouldn't have to slap you, Carl." The rotclaw shrank into his body, letting out a strange grumbling noise. Marburg then took a close glance at their team. Not really the most.. ideal group. Another wildclaw, a guardian, a tundra, and a fae. One thing was sure. The Guardian would be a powerful asset. Why.. his very own lair founder and superior was a Guardian.. a bit bigger and more seasoned than this one. Guardians were natural born tanks. And then his fellow wildclaw with the strange face mask. One thing was for sure.. the way wilclaws were raised, the dragon should know how to fight. And the Tundra.. honestly.. he wasn't sure. The dragon certainly looked experienced judging by the thick coat which only came from passing a certain age. Then again, Marburg had seen tundra who act like ferocious beasts... with other tundra acting as if they were giant kittens. And then the Fae. If there was one thing Marburg knew more than anything in the world, it was not to underestimate the tiny balls of flesh. Known more for magic...and becoming rogues.. their speed was not something to be laughed at. And their size meant they were less of a target.. less of a threat. Not to mention, the most evil creature in his lair was currently taking the form of a fae. So.. he was a bit.. honestly.. suspicious of the creature. Marburg just gave a slight nod to the doctor before starting off. "I am Marburg. I was once a plague warrior.. so i know a thing or two about the land here.. what is safe and not safe to eat.. where it is safe to tread. More or less." He glanced to the others, wings flicking. "By the way.. water isn't safe to drink unless you go up into the clouds and get out of the atmosphere. Everything below six thousand feet could end up killing you."

The worn path the group was directed to follow reaches a grove of sorts, where barren trees are strangled by ivy, and among twisted vines and contorted roots the ground yields a surprising variety of plants including mushrooms, flowers, and shrubs. Some flourish, bright colors entrancing insects and rodents; strong limbs and straight stalks reach towards the sky. In this place, though, even the life which appears beautiful and innocent often proves to be deadly. Sweet flowers fold in on themselves to swallow naive visiting flies; bright berries coax a rat near enough for hungry purple tendrils to lash suddenly out. Others seem to have lost their virility, barely clinging to life. Their adaptations have failed to prevent the attachment of a parasitic fungus; the tables turn when prey oozes corrosive slime. The path breaks into three forks a short ways into the forest. The first path winds tightly, edges lined with brambles. The second is defined by a rickety bridge above what appears to be a muddy bog, which emits foul smelling gas. The last curves gently and seems relatively unencumbered, but is overgrown with swollen mushrooms. One pops quietly, letting a geyser of spores fly up, then settle slowly to the ground. None of the paths are without danger, and there is no hint as to which Polemos meant for the group to follow. A choice must be made- sneak gingerly through the thorns, rush over the noxious bog and hope the bridge holds, or find a way through the mushroom minefield. [i]OOC note: Once again, sorry for failing to put this up yesterday. I got completely side tracked and forgot. You may use the dragons as NPCs within reason.
