Introduction

Hello and welcome to The Blood Born Guild OOC thread! This is a guild where Mirror dragons can connect and take delight in the kill.

You are either here because you are a Blood Born member, in which case carry on, or you are interested in becoming a guild member. If you are the latter, take caution and heed my warning:

To those who trespass without permission only death and horror await you.
But be wary, read all that you see, and you may pass through unscathed.

Before we go any further, read the origin story of the guild. A short read, I assure you, but an important one all the same.

Caz was a fighter in The Pits long go. Stolen from his nest as a hatchling, the young dragon was forced to fight and kill. His first kill was before he was even full grown, affecting his mind. Empathy became harder to feel. Marcy was nearly impossible. He was damaged, but one thought continued to echo through his mind: freedom. There had to be something better beyond this life.

Many years he served his master, fighting for entertainment. Finally, a chance presented itself. Perhaps not his most glorious moment, but Caz seized it. He fought his way from The Pits, leaving many bodies in his wake. None of the bodies caused him to feel the least bit of remorse. In fact, looking on his dead master at his feet filled him with glee he had not known before. The only thought when he left was revenge. It was not enough to see his master dead; he also had to find those who took him from his nest so long ago.

This great endeavor landed him in an Ice clan for many years. He served as their trainer, teaching the other dragons how to fight the Beastclans. Meanwhile, he still slipped away for days at a time to continue his search and pick up jobs where he could. The only viable skill he had was killing and that was what he did, killing dragons and beasts without discretion. Once his clan found out he was killing other dragons they kicked him out of their clan. Before he left, though, he secured a tentative alliance. Others in his guild would find sanctuary should they know the right words to say and in return he would never accept a job against them or their relatives.

From there he and his brothers Cirrus and Carrick set off to establish their guild. A guild of all Mirror dragons, dedicated to death. The guild would serve to help others. For a price. They would take out dragons and Beastclans alike, so long as the buyer could afford it. The guild would be a place for Mirror dragons to get together, share in comradery and the kill, and to improve the strength of their breed through superior breeding.

Guild Design
In a secluded region of the Shifting Expanse is where Caz decided to organize the guild. In this area he found a cliff face many hundreds of meters tall. From ground and air the sheer face looked uneven, precarious, as though it could all collapse at any moment. In truth, the rock was pock-marked with many entrances of various sizes. Such entrances were all guarded with magic, so only those with the correct spells would be allowed access. Their main entrance had no such protection, but it did have guards day and night. This main entrance led through a wide tunnel to the main antechamber. The stone walls of the Antechamber were adorned with glorious tapestries and paintings of the guild's greatest conquests. This camber would comfortably fit two hundred Mirror dragons and this was where new requests were delivered. Caz's sister Ronwen, the oddball Spiral in a group of Mirrors, was the one who received all requests and payment. Of payments, the dragon that completed the assignment would be awarded 70% of the profits. The remaining 30% would go into the guild's coffers to maintain their hall, feed those who lived in the hall, and support their members if ever required. Off this chamber led many more tunnels. Some led to smaller meeting rooms and others led to private chambers where dragons could take up residence. One smaller chamber was a hatchery and nursery where the hatchlings would be cared for while their parents were off on job. Many choose to remain with their clans and come by the guild hall periodically. New members and young dragons often have to spend their first few weeks in the hall, training with Cirrus and Carrick. Some of the passageways lead deeper into the cliff, heading down. One of the deepest chambers and the largest is their fighting pit. Stands, that sit about 600, enclose a dirt arena where dragons battle. Most are scheduled battles to help guild members advance through the ranks. Other battles are held if two dragons cannot settle a dispute. Rarely do the dragons die in such battles, but some are often injured. Other battles are held if two dragons cannot settle a dispute. Rarely do the dragons die in such battles, but some are often injured. When not being used for battles, scheduled or otherwise, the fighting pit is where the dragons train. Cirrus and Carrick both train the dragons down there.

There is always room in the guildhall.

Floor Plans
There are currently 5 floors. Please note that all RPs are the same size, despite my terrible drawing!!! All Council rooms and all Trainer rooms are the same size! Only the Antechambers are different sizes. Sorry for my terrible drawing skills. :)

@KamiTheDemon was kind enough to colour in the maps for me and make them pretty. So far, Floor 3 is done. :D

Please note! The Nursery/Hatchery is so far away from everything else because if ever their Guildhall were breached, they would retreat there and defend. Hence, a single passageway.

Staying in the Guildhall

There is a 5000 treasure per dragon per month fee that must be paid should you wish to remain in the Guildhall. There may be events that are only open to those in the Guildhall or some that will be available to them first. That being said, you will not be forced to stay in the Guildhall.

Click here for a list of all pods and their residents.

FAQ

Q: Do we only have to breed with guild dragons and sell only to guild members?
A: Nope! You are free to do with your dragons what you will, but the option is there.

Q: Do we have to pay 5k a month?
A: Nope! But, if you stay in the Guildhall and do not have a specific role (Council member, Healer, Trainer, etc...) you will have to pay 5k. This 5k goes into the guild's coffers and we use it to assist our members.

Q: Do we have to stay in the Guildhall?
A: No, but there may be some events run just for the dragons in the Guildhall. Or there may be an assignment that they are able to pick up first. But, of course, your dragons are welcome to remain with their clans as opposed to the Guildhall.
