Okay, everyone! Here is the thread for the dragons who wish to stop the growing corruption. They will NOT meet the others until the two threads are merged.
These dragons will stay away from Sin and the others, but there can be references to things that happened (like one of the dragons stumbling across the carcass of that Ridgeback Eulalia killed, or smelling some dragons on the wind.)

Note: PLEASE DO NOT POST ANYTHING OOC ON THIS THREAD. THE OOC FOR THIS THREAD AND THE DARKEST REACHES WILL STILL BE THE ONE WE USE NOW.

He had arrived. A couple of weeks had passed since the first disappearance. Everyone had thought that it was just the natural misfortune of getting killed; and everyone wasn't sad to see her gone. Though a few days later, another disappearance. Two important dragons gone. This time, everyone was quite a bit more worried. What were the Players doing? Were they even the cause of this? They wouldn't say.

It had been some time when the Skydancer decided to find the others. It wasn't as much a mission to bring them back; he just wanted to find out what had happened to them. And so, in the middle of the night, he left without telling anyone. It wasn't uncommon for him to get up and just leave; he always came back. He just hoped that this little trip wouldn't take too long.

His paws hovered above the rotting grass. The Skydancer wouldn't dare touch the ground until he deemed it safe; Plague was fine, and Shadow was too, but just not together. You never knew if a runaway poisonous fungi or thorned plant hid within the wild grasses. Plus, he was more comfortable in the air. He could fly in his sleep for all he really wanted.

The woods were quiet. Really quiet. The rumors about this place holding the worst kinds of dragons were true, as far as he knew. The silence unnerved him; wouldn't there at least be the sound of screams? He didn't want that either. His thoughts wandered as he slowly hovered through the plagued woods, stopping whenever a bush rustled near him. He hoped there would be someone else not murderous around.
He could handle himself in a fight now, but he still didn't want any encounters...

His sightless eyes stared ahead, pure white as always, giving off an eerily faint white glow. He began to descend, his snout slowly tilting earthward. If what Blackwood had told him was true, then there was something going on in this land that smelled of death and terror; something that threatened to engulf Sornieth as a whole. The Spiral landed with a small 'fssh' on a particularly large sand dune, flinching as a huge amount of insane energy ran through his claws. He stamped out the threat of madness immediately, realizing that the sand layering the ground in this place could be dangerous to one who was highly sensitive to all things around them, like he himself. Myriad took a mental note not to let the sand get to him. Something was strange about it... He had seen and experienced all sorts of insanity before, but none so much like this. This was darker, far more ancient, and it seethed beneath his very claws... He shook his head and instead turned around in a circle, attempting to distract himself by surveying his surroundings. No signs of life, besides a few recent corpses that lay half-buried somewhere around here. But wait... Was that Skydancer he smelled? Yes, there was definitely something up there in the dark sky, and if he focused hard enough, he could see a faint blue aura in the shape of a bird like dragon appear in his vision. Myriad's eyes narrowed. This dragon didn't seem like he was planning dark things, and yet... He didn't seem exactly normal, either. The Spiral could detect hints of secrets gathered around the other dragon, and he didn't like it one bit. Perhaps he should stay out of view for now, so as not to attract the other dragon's attention. Not that much would happen if he did. Really, the Skydancer mostly smelled of caution and anxiety right now.

Myriad approached the blackened wasteland from a distance, his bright scales winking against the clouded sky.

It was stuck right between the Tangled Wood and Abiding Boneyard, but almost seemed no existences unless you looked close. It was one of the lands, that appeared bigger once you land on its dark service. The small Fae choose a sturdy rock to land on and given his small stature it was perfect for a dragon like him. Akihiro looked around at the wasteland. It was a thick forest, with tons of swamp areas and murky water. There was probably unknown creatures there, but he wasn't going to find out any time soon. He noticed several corpses tied to tress's hung upside down and clean of any flesh or muscle. It was cleaned dry, but what scared Akihiro the most was the fact that dragons did this, not your familiars or beast clans. He heard of the insane dragons that roamed here, but he was a dragon with a mission. Akihiro had flown all the way from the Southern Icefields to get here and he wouldn't stop now. It may have taken him 3 weeks, several drops by the local hotels, arching wings, but he did it all for Nimia. Nimia, the mirror he would call a friend and maybe a mate, if he had the guts to tell her how he had felt about her. The fae shook his head, there was no use crying over spilled milk and stretched out his arching wings. He wouldn't be flying today, no sir. Akihiro settled for gliding from tree to tree for now. As he was heading forward he saw a Skydancer fly over the forest and was heading the direction that he was going. The Fae caught curious and decided to follow the other dragon. It might bring him closer to Nimia.

Insane dragons aside, she was always curious about her birth place, and areas mixed within it. Now here she was. Her wings were a tad small for her size, so she was reduced to running across the grass and sands. Sometimes moving to glide from rock to rock. That was alright though, she loved to run. Though the powerful, dark magic stung her feet with each lope. But she was able to banish the strange feeling in due time. A bag that held her pearl lightly hit against her left flank, reminding her what precious cargo she carried along with her. She stopped though, beside the fae's rock to catch a glimpse of the skydancer. He looked familiar.. She decided to follow the flying dragon, aswell, not realizing she was running herself closer and closer towards the fae.

Not much grew in this wasteland. Well...not many edible plants grew anyways. She knew a few places however, where she could find safe vegetables and weeds. The only trouble was getting to them and back to her makeshift little hut in one piece. She'd been in this Gods forsaken land for weeks now and was only barely surviving. She'd lost a lot of weight; so much so that any dragon would be able to see her ribs sticking out and she was sure her face looked drawn, sunken, and tired. She was dirty and her clothes were all moth eaten and mostly rags. The small hut she had made after she first came here was also starting to fall apart. She'd have to try and repair it or else move on and find another secluded and fairly protected area. Right now, she was at the base of one of the larger trees in the forest. The giant roots of the thing had grown in such a way that made a natural sort of hovel. Chivalry had just added on to it by packing the spaces in between the roots that made up the ceiling with mud and clay. Then she fastened several thick and stiff sheets of leather above the entrance. At night, she'd sometimes burn some of her preciously few candles to look over the notes she'd taken of the hieroglyphics she'd been studying down by the cliffs. She was looking for answers or something that would give her a clue as to what her father really had planned. Her father. She didn't want to think about him. She didn't want to remember the kind face that use to tuck her in at night as a child and give her a goodnight kiss as she held her favorite Windsinger doll, Mr. Noodle. She didn’t want to remember all the fun times she use to have playing hide-and-seek with all the familiars. She didn't want to think about the moment when her whole life flipped upside down and was stolen from her after she realized everything had been a lie. She didn't want to think about how much she still loved the dad who took care of her as kid. She didn't want to think about how much she hated the dad she knew now. Chivalry closed her eyes and counted to ten while taking nice slow breathes in through her nose and out her mouth. Then she opened her eyes and sighed. She had to watch herself. Bad things happened when she got too worked up. She glanced around for her mask and tattered cape. After making sure the entrance was fairly hidden like she always did, Chivalry took off into the ever-darkening sky. It would be night soon and it was dangerous to travel at night in these lands but she needed to clear her head. She hadn't started flying long before she nearly flew into a Skydancer with crystal wings and a shimmering coat. She screamed and dove towards the ground but couldn’t recover and crash landed into the muddy black sand. She flipped over and tried to scramble away from this Skydancer but her claws kept slipping in the mud and soon she was completely covered in it. Every dragon she'd encountered here had been a killer. Every single one had tried to rip her throat out and this dragon was probably no different. "I'm s-sorry! D-don't hurt me! I'm warning you I'm very d-dangerous!" She tried to sound intimidating but the effect was ruined by her sudden shivers and the fact that she was basically a dripping mud monster.

Poyo held the trunker corpse down with his talon and tore into the chest cavity, tearing off chunks of meat and swallowing them whole. He lifted his head and scanned the horizon until he knew for certain he had heard a scream. When he looked higher than the horizon, he saw specks in the sky—one long serpentine form plummeting from the sky. Poyo glanced at his kill with chagrin, then bolted toward the crash site. Had a fight broken out? Was a killer dragon attacking another? His talons and powerful legs carried him across the ground. He kept his wings folded flat against his body and his head low, lowering wind resistance until he was upon the scene within a few moments. A spiral was in the mud, dirty and desperate, trying to scare off the skydancer. With a mighty leap, Poyo sailed over the spiral and landed in the mud in front of her, skidding to a stop and flaring his wings in a magnificent display of aggression. Stance wide, he hissed and shrieked at the skydancer, foretalons up and claws on display. He bared his teeth and hissed, daring the smaller dragon to continue to pick on the spiral—though, truth be told, he knew not what had transpired. It didn’t matter. Being well-fed was nice. Living with a clan that had plenty of meat was convenient. Luxury was just that, a treat to make life a little more comfortable.

But there was nothing quite like the feeling one gets when hunting down prey. The adrenaline derived from following a scent and stalking an unsuspecting animal. It couldn’t be replaced, just like the satisfaction of a successful hunt and the full stomach it brought.

Poyo held the trunker corpse down with his talon and tore into the chest cavity, tearing off chunks of meat and swallowing them whole. He had been hunting the herd for hours, trying to pick out the weakest and easiest to kill. Hunting in a pack was his preferred method, but if it was small game he could manage on his own.

And he was very much on his own.

The contagion encroaching on shadow territory seemed to creep closer even as the Wildclaw stood feasting, and he edged away from the tendrils every so often, eyes always darting to take in his surroundings. He had heard the rumors of the cruel and lawless dragons living in these parts, and he was always ready for them to appear at any moment. Poyo could smell other dragons when the wind shifted, but none had been close enough to cause alarm.

Now, though, the wind shifted again and brought closer scents.

Sounds.

A scream?

The Fae heard a scream in the distance and climbed up a sturdy swamp tree to gauge the sound. He saw the Skydancer that he was chasing, suddenly crash into another dragon and fall onto the land beneath them. Maybe the Spiral wanted to fight? Or maybe they just crashed into each other? Either Akihiro was assured that watching them would be beneficial to him. He could get a grasp on how dragons fight here and how to defeat him, if he ever send up in a fight with someone who wants to kill him. The small Fae climbed back down the tree truck and glided to another rock. He then proceeded to follow said dragons. Akihiro humped to the next rock, not noticing a dark Pearlcatcher ramming right into him. He crashed into the other dragons face and they both fell into the swamp water. Akihiro popped his little head out and narrowed his eyes. He found safe ground and prepared himself for a fight. " Who are you? If you wish to fight, i will not hold back and your death will be tortuous....So, just walk away."

She had gotten used to not having come across dragons..that were alive atleast. She HAD seen a couple of dead and looted dragons at the entrance into the lands, though. She blinked dazedly, sitting up and shaking the mud off. "Who are you? If you wish to fight, i will not hold back and your death will be tortuous....So, just walk away." was what she had heard during it, and her first thought was.. 'A banished dragon..!' "I do not give my name to those who've been banished here! So if you want information out of me you'll have to beat it out of me, vile one!" she hissed in defense, moving to stand and proceed with a defensive position. "So do your worst!" To be honest..she wasn't sure why those words slipped out of her mouth. She was acting on panic, mostly..not even sure if this dragon WAS one of the insane, or just a passer-by, like her. She didn't even look intimidating, covered in mud the way she was. She just looked silly!

Banished? He was not a banished dragon, but he was looking for one. The Pearlcatcher could also being lying to him and trying to trick him to let his guard down, but he he will not fall for that! " Banished? Hah! I didn't know dragons here were such tricksters, but I know your kind! You are trying to trick me, so when I let my guard down, you can kill and eat me. You exiled dragons are devious ones! " Akihiro will not fall for that. He was still curious, however, why this dragon thought he was banished here. It was not a unwise thought, given the circumstances of this land. Could the female be visiting threw the lands? He heard of dragons often choosing to pass through these lands as a short cut. Of course, rarely any of them survived the trip. Poor souls. Akihiro circled around the female Dragon. Could she be here with reason like him? It was a slim chance at best, but still entirely plausible. Many of these questions circled in the Fae's mind as he waited for the Pearlcatcher to speak.
