@DrMoneybags... I have found a few files, it seems. One Dr. Walter Roberts recently published these documents describing an encounter he had. I should note that while the man has his doctorate, he’s not a medical doctor, and has since found his niche as an abrasively skeptical paranormal investigator. Anyway... here’s the first part of what I’ve found. He really did embed this deep on his website!
((This is 100% fictional and definitely my own work. Idk if there is a real Dr. Walt Roberts, Ph.D and Paranormal Investigator, but hey, it sounded like a cool name for the guy. Forgive him, he rambles on a bit, much like many well-qualified smart people... and he takes his notes in paragraph format. Like a diary. Yeah, I know, he’s weird. I’m sure did that in college and his Ph.D. program too, I bet he got mocked about it.))
Forward
If you’re reading this, then it was finally allowed to be published. There were lots of non-disclosure agreements signed, lots of coverup methods taken, but come 2019, I will be allowed to make this account public. I presume it is now that time. I presume, too that several people in positions higher than my own made some assumptions about the likelihood that I would remember this tale come the year 2019. They probably figured it would be far enough in the future that these documents and experiences would find themselves lost, forgotten, or explained. Luckily for you and I, I am a meticulous man. I am providing this forward in the event that I am not available myself to otherwise explain these events, but beyond this, the writing is all from the year in which the experiences occurred, written in an unedited letter to colleagues and possibly newspapers willing to take up such a report.
I must emphasize that I, despite being a paranormal researcher at this point in my life, am a great skeptic. My background lies in science, and I prefer rationality above all. I do not carry superstitions or religious talismans or any such nonsense. I do not myself feel that things assumed to be supernatural are anything more than a combination of coincidental events leading to a seemingly unexplainable perception of reality. For example, the Oracles of Delphi were likely exposed to hallucinogenic gasses present at the time, thus leading to their supposed prophecies. This is important, because the document presented here contains information that you probably will not believe occurred at first glance. You will seek other explanations. You will hunt for reasons to doubt me and dismiss me as a quack. My credentials are attached, as well as other articles and reports I have completed to authenticate my skepticism as well as my reliability and scientific background.
My process typically includes documenting my initial reactions as close to immediately following any paranormal investigation as possible. I write my thoughts, feelings, sights, and understandings of the entire event from start to finish before continuing forward with any further site research needed to derive an explanation for my clients. These are those notes. This writing was never released to the clients nor the public due to its nature as a nearly in-the-moment reaction piece, and were consolidated into a more professionally worded file for said clients with video, audio, and graphical records.
I should state that my clients in this case were the lawyer and realtor representing the owner of the property, and they desired for me to provide a non-supernatural explanation of the events the owner had reportedly experienced within the home. Their bias, and my own, was heavily against paranormal involvement. I have redacted any identifying information here, though if you were to try hard enough, I’m sure you could discover the location of the following accounts. Why you would want to, I do not wish to understand.

Pre-Entry Notes
The clients, ????? ??? and ???? ???, representing the homeowners of ?? ?????? ??, drove me to the property while providing some intriguing information regarding the homeowners’ experiences within the house. Most of these are outlined in their original correspondence with me, but these accounts all center around the basement of the home. According to the original sales documents (copies included), this building has been on the site since approximately 1853, and belonged to the family of the county sheriff for quite some time. The property realtor, ????, speculates that it’s original owner’s profession is the reasoning behind the singular row of minimalistic jail cells that were discovered during the house inspection, located beneath the basement. While no documentation has be found so far to confirm their existence in county records, it seems reasonable to assume that, before the county jail was established, the sheriff may have taken to holding prisoners in his own home. I was told there are an odd number of cells due to building constraints at the time, allowing for only 15 small rooms to have been placed beneath the basement. The inspector, I was told, was not allowed to actually enter the cell block due to concrete work having been done by subsequent owners of the home, but my clients have contracted a company to do minimally invasive drilling to open up what should be the original staircase leading into the hallway. Ground Penetrating Radar was used to initially locate these cells... not certain why they even used such tools during the inspection in the first place, but the homeowners are wealthy and quite possibly paranoid, so I’ll chalk it up to that.
Supposedly the basement area of the house has an “aura” that freaked out the inspector, homeowner, and realtor alike, meaning they haven’t been able to do any showings until I could get up here to do an assessment. Things that, in my experience, have contributed to such auras include: air pressure changes, air content changes (from emissions or otherwise), groupthink, a person’s own psychological issues, and even just fears relating to stories told about a place. The human power of perception is incredible, so if one expects to feel a certain way, they may well feel that way independent of any rational reasons. That said, I have just spoken to the excavation team, and several noted a similar sense of unease.
Apparently these notes will be kept under lock and key. The lawyer, ????? ????, has had me sign an NDA of sorts. Regardless, writing down my thoughts prior to the investigation is always useful later for other reasons. I’m now under contract for 10 years to not disclose my findings unless such information is made public by the homeowner or a few other named parties. These notes aren’t going to find themselves in anyone’s hands but mine, anyway. My conclusion remains that the homeowners are incredibly paranoid... because of what, muttering heard in the walls, supposedly unexplainable illnesses, and an “aura of unease” near the basement? They should hear the claims I’ve had from other locations, because as far as paranormal experiences go, these are mild symptoms.
That’s all very... unsettling. Hopefully we shall find out what his post-entry accounts have to say... judging by the Forward, I presume the homeowners weren’t paranoid...
