Welcome! I hope everyone had a great Bounty of the Elements. It's exciting to see so many old players returning to enjoy the new things Flight Rising has to offer. As they adjust to the site's new look and feel, many players have decided to clean their lairs of old dragons in hopes of replacing them with new and exciting genes. Unfortunately, this has lead to the exalting of many dragons with low ID#s over the last couple of days. Many returning players are not aware of the way their value has grown. There wasn't a market for old dragons until late 2014 when the Old Dragon Collectors Association was founded. They might look like it sometimes, but

Loriki here is an old Lightning dragon, born on September 23, 2013. This gives him a 6 digit ID#. 6 digits are one of the more common types of old dragons and are widely sought after by collectors. After a winner is drawn, Loriki will travel to his new home, taking the beautiful Night Sky Silk set he is currently wearing with him.

A lot of people are! A great place to start is the Old Dragon Collectors Association, a hub for people who are interested in all aspects of owning old dragons with 7 digit ID#s and less. The main feature of the ODCA are the pinglists. Many sellers have been able to get good money for their oldies by contacting the collectors directly.

Since the ODCA's founding in 2014, a major goal of the collectors has been to prevent low ID# dragons from being exalted. The value of old dragons is very well established by now and it's not very common to see them exalted on purpose anymore. However, with so many old players returning who may not be familiar with this market yet, this becomes a concern once again. As you purchase adult dragons for fodder on the AH, keep your eyes open for short ID#s. It's rare, but you might just save one!

Very recently, Flight Rising gave us the wonderful feature of reversing some exalted dragons. This is a limited feature to prevent abuse, but if you or someone you know has exalted a dragon with a 6 digit ID# or less recently, you may be able to get it back. Only dragons exalted within the last 14 days can be restored. If the exalt occurred during Bounty of the Elements, it's not too late!
