As she pondered the perfect gift she traveled, hoping to come upon something great. Under the protection of the second coliseum team member, Oasis, she traveled the fields and found beautiful flowers - but Carwyn didn't seem very delicate or appreciative of fragile things. She traveled to the forest and found sweet fruits, but Carwyn only ate fish. Syrup journeyed deep mines and found precious gems, dark caves and found luminous mushrooms, rocky mountains and found hard-as-scales armor - would this be a good gift? Carwyn already had good armor though... She finally found herself in scorched land, Oasis was tiring and they had to find shelter. after some time they came across another dragon tribe, they were friendly and let both Syrup and Oasis stay. The clan was welcoming, Syrup wasted no time getting to know everyone. Two of the most intimidating dragons were fearsome ridgebacks, they'd just had a nest and Syrup met and played with the hatchlings. The parents spoke of their previous children, how they had left home to become fierce and strong. The more time Syrup spent with the hatchlings and their parents, the more she noticed how strikingly similar they looked to someone she knew... A few days later Syrup and Oasis left the tribe, now with a new addition to the party. The parents had told more stories, they had mentioned the names of their grown children who had left. They had expressed their desire to see their newest batch explore and find their own path. And Syrup figured Carwyn could use some back up in the field, and who better to have your back than family? Her secret santa gift was the most surprising in the whole clan, and everyone agreed that it was the best.

@xpadfootx @minty *cracks knuckles* time for Plague-to-Arcane cultural shock featuring an anxious wildclaw and the gatherers! Anyone? Some say it's the jester with his endless supply of entertainment ideas, others say it's the familiar keeper from his Beastclan friends. Whatever the case, after some difficulty with drawing names out of a hat ("What's this? A note from ants?" one of the ridgebacks snorted as he tried his best to read the tiny letters), most dragons were happy with their gifting victim. Unless you count the newer arrivals, that is. "Peleides?" Wyte whispered in horror to the rest of the gatherers. "Isn't she the matriarch?" One of the skydancers -Leigh- huffed slightly from the wildclaw's willingness to bend the don't-tell rule. "Then you're lucky. Breeze-brain accepts just about anything." Wyte glanced around wildly, fearing that the fae was somewhere nearby listening. "But isn't she above us all? I can't just give her anything! She might get offended and exile me, or send me to the Arcanist, or..." The messenger sitting nearby, Variolae, burst into laughter. "Or feed you to her taxidermy moth collection? Seriously? Have you actually met her in person? I'm quite surprised. You've got butterfly wings." The wildclaw folded his wings back self-consciously. "W-what about it?" Leigh rolled her eyes. "She's obsessed over butterflies and moths. Probably stacked the vault full of them. If you really need something specific to give her, go outside and catch a few butterflies. She'd be overjoyed." "On a serious note, though, Peleides is the most hopeful and accepting leader a dragon can ask for," Onyx, the other wildclaw in the group, added. "She has her short-tempered moments, yes, but there's really nothing to fear. Just treat her with about as much respect as you treat other dragons and she'd be happy with you. There's no 'the strongest and most obedient survive' rules here." Wyte thanked his fellows and left them alone to have a moment. He was pretty sure the last time he passed a thistle bush in Shadow territory he saw a whole cluster of lunar moth eggs around.

She was startled to see all the presents under the tree. A present for every dragon but the one she was supposed to have gotten. Her panick only intensified when she could not remember who she had drawn. All day long she kept trying to remember who she admitted defeat and went to find Deoarm. He had the master list since there always seemed to be someone who forgot who they had. Deaorm was in the library room. Zinnia stood in the entrance for a short while. It always surprised how a giant of dragon was so careful with the books. Deaorm put down the book he was looking at. “Zinnia! You have come back from your travels. This is great. I hope you will write another book on your adventures.” “I plan to. Have to give something for the younger ones” She laughed. “Deoarm, I um…. Forgot who my giftee was…. Do you know who I have?” Zinnia asked. “Let me look.” Deaorm pulled out a small book from a pouch that was hidden beneath his great cloak. He turned several pages. “Ah here it is. Well this is awkward. It looks like you have me. Deoarm’s eyes twinkled. “So what are you going to get me?” Zinnia stammered. “I don’t know” and she left completely at a lost. What could she get the head of the clan. He had everything he wanted. He had lots of books. He had… Suddenly she smiled. She knew what to get him. She hurried off to her room where she kept her writing supplies.

Her first reaction was : who is that dragon ? See, Celeste is the quiet, lone warrior type, and she was rarely seen bonding with others. As a result, she barely knows the names of half of the clan members. And she knows their tastes even less. But she was ready to change that, because she refused to fail her mission. She asked a clan member who was passing by about that Elska dragon. Sadly, they couldn't really help since they weren't familiar with him. So she decided to ask another dragon, and another dragon, and another dragon... Before she realised it, she had asked most of the clan about her giftee tastes. All she learned was that Elska was a flirty, kinda vain dragon ; not really the kind of person she would get along with. But she had a better idea for a gift now. She departed for the Woodland Path to train. Before she could unsheathe her katana, she smelled a captivating scent. Sakura Owls feathers. She suddenly had an idea : why not a perfume ? A womanizer would be glad with this kind of gift, would they not ? And so, the hunt begins. Later, she gave a sack full of Sakura Owls feathers to the clan alchemist, so they could craft a perfume for the Spiral. While waiting for Elska's soon-to-be gift to be ready, she tried to guess what kind of gift she would receive. And she remembered how she asked everyone around for help. It was the first time she felt that close to her fellow clan members. Hidden behind her helmet was a wide grin that none could witness. It seemed that she already had received her gift, afterall. @kriski Marinna, #9
