Yes. Don't mind the increased meteor activity, or any tears in the space time continuum, it's fine. Yes." She gives you big eyes that say everything is not fine. "Anyway. The Arcanist was helping us clean up some rifts, and there were some bolts and one of them hit him and he just- he just-" Her eyes got bigger, somehow. "He turned to stone! I mean, he's really tiny now, which is adorable, but he's a rock!" She picks him up and waves him in your face as if to confirm to you he was, instead, said rock. "And," her eye sockets must be a lot bigger than first guessed. "The Windsinger--they got along well, and we were wondering where the other bolts had gone and apparently, maybe, he, um." She pulls another item from her satchel, this one a vase with blue paint on it. Another tag around it reads "ACTUAL WINDSINGER--YIKES." The other pieces have been glowing as well, though very faintly--which is a bit odd, really. We originally believed say, Plaguebringer would be free like that," she snaps a paw. "If it was just based on exaltation. Since it's Starfall--we have a note to discuss [i]timing[/i] with dad later, don't worry--we believe if we gather all the energy at the Observatory, we could channel it to the correct deity more easily, and free them all!" She beams at you. "So we need your help! Naturally, we'll, uh, work on the other deities first. Dad will understand," she nods. "But still, this is a lot of energy we need, and I think it best we free them, ah, sooner, rather than later." "So, will you help us free the deities?" she pleads. Curiosity drew him in and he avoided the guards and slinked by the natural barriers. Upon entering he was stopped by the clan’s leaders and was asked what he was doing there. He had no answer, he had just felt drawn there. Ever since then, everytime he tried to leave, he would always be drawn back there only hours later. When the leaders realized that it was the Flamecaller pulling Cygnus in, beckoning him to help protect the temple, they trained him and told him the true nature of the temple. Cygnus was amazed at the world he had stumbled upon, but soon swore his allegiance to the clan and to protecting the ancient city and temple. He risked his own life on many occasions to protect the secrets that criminals and treasure hunters had tried to steal. While he was curious as to what was in the city as well, he would always put his allegiance to the Flamecaller before his own desires. We all know he has had his eye on the Tidelord's land for years now, and after the mistake you caused it's out only hope to redeem ourselves. It's one small, tiny, Nocturne egg, there are thousands of them now due to their yearly migration. It's our only chance." "Well, okay, how do we start?" It has been several months since the Nocturne egg was exposed to the shade, and it has finally begun to hatch. The egg is dark and cold, void of any signs of something living inside, and has been this way since the shade took over it, corrupting the innocent dragon inside. "Oh, would you look, our darkling is hatching!" The Mirror said excitedly,"Ah, so it is, it seems our time has finally come." The Ridgeback mused, poking at the egg to prod the hatchling out. The hatchling emerged, sporting brown wings and a blue body contrasted by the purple belly. The only sign of the shade in this hatchling was the odd purple belly, but it wasn't nearly dark enough to show his corruption. "This is an outrage! We'll name him Poseidon, in spite of the Tidelord and everything he has ever done, one that shares a great ocean name will bring him down!" Poseidon's training was most difficult, as he wasn't motivated to fight for something he didn't know about. Yet, he was still fierce and when provoked had issues seeing clearly until whatever provoked him was dead or cowering. As he grew older still, he learned to control his fierce anger and started to question more and more what his watchers were wanted to do. One day, Poseidon learned that he being used by the two Ice Dragons and approached them to tell them that he wasn't going to kill a deity, especially the Tidelord (at this point he had come to idolize the Tidelord and was wishing to be in his service one day). However, the two dragons made it worse, lying to him, saying that they owned him and that he was to listen to them no matter what, they made it so bad in fact that he flew into a rage and slew the Ice-aligned Mirror. Poseidon fled the scene, being pursued by the Ridgeback who was threatening and cursing the young Nocturne. Poseidon fled to the only place on his mind, the Tidelord's realm. He hid there, not only because he was scared the Ridgeback would return, but also because he was scared other dragons would discover what he was made for. He lived as an outcast, scavenging for food and avoiding all confrontation with dragons, yet he still dreamed of serving in the Tidelord's guard. While he was out scavenging for scraps one day, he was confronted by a deep blue, crystalized Nocturne, and was fearful that the Nocturne worked for the Ridgeback. "I'm Jasper," The Nocturne said to Poseidon, "You think you're hiding, do you? Well, maybe you should be a bit more careful about going out in broad daylight, with your bright colors I could see you from a mile away." "A-are you here to take me back?" Poseidon stammered and Jasper laughed, "Take you back to where? I don't know where you come from, and frankly I don't care. I was out here simply for a treasure mission, but you know, if you want to live anywhere better, search me out at Clan Lyrenias, it's a much better home than this dump." And the Nocturne went on his way. Poseidon was wary at first, of course, but later sought out the mysterious clan. All the dragons were friendly towards him, asking about his journey, his past, and his dreams. All of them kindly trying to get to know him. When Poseidon found out that he could serve the Tidelord as a part of this clan, regardless of what flight he hatched into or who he was alligned with, he settled down in the clan and outfitted himself with everything necessary to serve his idol. He still worries about that Ridgeback, but with is friends and his mate, Nymph, he knows that he will be safe and if necessary can fight him himself. Strong and powerful, both in mind and physically, he serves the Tidelord well and brings great honor to Clan Lyrenias. Poseidon and Nymph has loads of children, many of which were exalted to the Arcanist. He is close friends with Jasper and his mate, Diana, and will sometimes accompany Jasper on his regular scavenging hunts.[/quote][/center]
