I'm proud and excited to announce that today August 7th, marks the first anniversary of the Old Dragon Collectors Association! I can't believe it's already been a whole year. To celebrate, @Stormflight and I have put together this weekend event. There are dragons and art to win and some fun games to play! Any proceeds from ticket sales will go straight back to the ODCA where it will be put towards more prizes for future events! So without further ado, EVERYBODY HAVE FUN :D

All proceeds from this raffle will be put in the ODCA vault for use in later events. We do our best to have cool and interesting prizes for the apparel contests as well as any other events we do, but we need your help to make them possible!

Money can be sent via PM either to cooneyms or to Stormflight, and we will then record your tickets on the spreadsheet.


Ticket Prices:
1 ticket = 1,000T or 2 gems
10 tickets = 9,000T or 18 gems
20 tickets = 17,000T or 34 gems
50 tickets = 42,000T or 84 gems
100 tickets = 83,000T or 166 gems


We will also accept items at hoard sell value if you'd rather use those than pure currency! Gene and breed scrolls as well as gem items will be taken at discounted MP value (if applicable). If you have any other rarer item that you'd like to use for tickets, please talk to either me or cooneyms so we can establish a set value for your item.

Just to clarify, you don't have to be a member of the ODCA to participate--this is just a fun event that any user can come join! ^_^

There are other ways to earn tickets besides outright buying them! As a reminder, anyone and everyone is welcome to play these games--they aren't limited to ODCA members! :D


For this game, we want to see how various users' dragons are connected! They must be related in some visible way, so you can't say "this dragon is the adopted son of this dragon"--we need to be able to see their linked names together somewhere. Sibling, parent, grandparent, etc. are the kinds of relationships we're looking for!. In other words, someone needs to be able to get from one dragon to the other just by following links in their lineage. Mates don't count because they're technically not blood-related to one another.

If both of the dragons in question are in your lair, you get +3 tickets for posting their names here along with an explanation of how they're related! If one dragon is in your lair and one is in another user's lair, you get +4 tickets! And if the other user posts here and confirms the connection, they also get +4 tickets! (You don't have to ping the other person if you don't want to bother them or think they won't be interested, though. As long as you post about it, you'll still get the +4 tickets yourself.) The other person must be an active user, however, meaning that their dragons' energy is at 40/50 or above or the user has posted on the forums in the past three days.

tl;dr - Post dragons that are blood-related (must be able to get from one to the other following lineage links) with an explanation for tickets. Intra-lair relations earn +3, cross-lair relations between active users get +4, and the other user can also gain tickets by posting and confirming the relationship.

A cross-lair example: my dragon Flair is the mother of BotanyBlack's dragon Ivalice.

An intra-lair example: yumehisakawa's dragon Captain is the father of her other dragon Mnemosyne.


We are constantly seeking to improve the ODCA and make it a more useful, dynamic, and fun organization for everybody! If you have any suggestions to improve the ODCA and its resources, you can post it in the thread and earn +2 tickets!

Don't have any suggestions but just want to gush about old dragons? Post anything about oldies in the thread whether it be your favorite thing about collecting, an interesting fact, or something else and receive +1 tickets! (You can earn up to 5 tickets in this manner.)

[center][size=4][b]Guessing Game[/b][/size][/center] Can you guess the number of eggs held inside the glass jar? The person who guesses correctly or who is the closest will win a dragon portrait by cooneyms! If there are multiple people who get the right answer, then the first person to answer correctly will win a watercolor portrait while the others will win a sketch drawing. Guesses will be recorded on the spreadsheet along with the tickets, but you [i]don't[/i] have to buy tickets in order to make a guess.
