@BoggyMcBogface
Nines is most proud of his new clan. Well, he's been here for quite a while but everything still feels new. New lands, new friends, new mysteries... It's all very exciting.
"I will say that we've been very lucky. We were able to grow into a large clan quickly with their help and not a day goes by that we ask what we can do in return, but they don't ask for anything. They're quite a mysterious being. All these years and we still barely know anything about their home universe. They do share some of the strange lifeforms that they created. Some of our clanmates have taken on their names, like our progenitors, Greninja and Palkia."
He smiles and tilts his head slightly as he listens. It's an odd little quirk shared by many in the clan. Whenever someone listens intently, they tilt their heads. Perhaps a Fae-ism inheirited from Greninja?
"It's only been a few days for me so far. I don't really get homesick with how much I like exploring so I'm probably the worst dragon to ask, heh heh. I can understand, though, since the Scarred Wasteland is legendary for its brutality. Thankfully I've found that it's not all bad. In fact, I ran into a kind Bogsneak named Gator that helped me out with food when I first came in. Keeping a keen eye out is the key to travelling though here."
(Let's keep them separate so it's easier. I've been though a couple three-way RPs and scheduling gets difficult.)

Nines loves to talk, perhaps a bit too much. Some of the less patient clanmates make sure to avoid him, since he holds them up from whatever task they were about to do. Still, others seek him out whenever they want to be heard or feel social, as he's a sympathetic listener along with quite the talker.
"It's frightening being in a new place underprepared! I'm glad that your clan tried to help out but sorry that they weren't able to properly. I passed by the border between Plague and Shadow earlier, where the great mires are. We often train new warriors there so I know what's good to eat there pretty well. How about I share some croaker legs?"
[item=blackwing croaker leg] [item=heartred croaker leg]
He reaches into a large leather bag, pulling out a few croaker legs. They're very fresh as they've been kept away from dirt and moisture that would spoil them faster. Nines is very orderly when it comes to supplies. Everything has an exact spot where it should be so that it's always easy to access along with being pleasing to look at. Few things are more satisfying than a neat bag with everything a traveller needs.
"Sure thing! It was over to the northeast, actually. It should be hard to miss since there's huge bones completely picked clean sticking out. It also has big black horns and spikes sticking out of it. If you see a group of braided tendrils, you're getting close. I don't know who would braid tendrils but it makes for a good landmark. Even though I'm resistant to Plague, I wouldn't touch those tendrils unless I had to."

Blackwing Croaker Leg
Meat
This set of powerful legs propels croakers high into the air. This one will not be jumping anymore.

Carnivorous dragons use these legs as a colorful garnish during festivals.

"Ah," and Corwin nods again, "your clan is wise to send a scout such as yourself. Though we may not wish to do so, it is always better to be aware of any turmoil brewing beyond one's borders." She lets out a deep, foreboding sigh. "Sometimes they spill over so easily.
"And I thank you for your inquiry, Gaoler. The one I seek is not born of dragonkind, but hails from the Spirit World. Her appearance is never fixed, for she quickly grows bored of shapes and is forever trying on new ones...but always she is beautiful." Corwin's tone was wry. "It is how she ensnares her prey. She tempted the scions of the families I guarded, thus destroying their alliance. War and destruction came soon after that."
She couldn't help feeling a stir of curiosity. It was unlikely, but she had to ask: "Think you that this spirit is connected to the turmoil brewing here? The one I seek has many names. In recent years I have heard the appellations the Lover and the Fair One. Is her mark upon the unrest you speak of? If so," and she arches her wings in anticipation, "it may be worth my while to investigate. Any information you can afford to part with would be most helpful."

@antigen I feel like the cauldron would be extremely dangerous to dragons that aren't in the plague faction? like plauge primals have next to zero affects when theyre near it but a nature common dragons scales would start to boil and itch if they got within 1000ft of it? I like to think that the "closer" they are to their elements the less negative affects and get more positive ? plague dragons get stronger when theyre near it and if they drink it it could be like, a test of faith and resilience ? to see if their bodies can handle their mothers gift? Idk thats kind of how i base my dragons lore :0

Famine steps onto the Southwest border of the Scarred Wasteland with heavy trepidation. He sniffs the air and detects the overwhelming, putrid stench of the Wyrmwound. As an Ice native, he is fighting all instinct to turn around and return to where he came from, to the comfort and understanding of his birth clan. He supposes here will be as good of a spot as ever to begin his search for anything interesting to bring back to his clan. Famine gets to work setting up a meager camp so he can explore the surrounding area.
