Note: If an explorer's name is a hyperlink it means they are open to role play. Click on the link to learn more about the explorer and their personal rules for interaction.

How to play:

Choose a dragon explorer and introduce them in the thread by filling out the form below. You will also be filling out a Search form (see below), feel free to submit both at once.
Visit this map link and choose an available map marker to represent your dragon explorer. Any map markers on the map have already been claimed.
Once a day, pick any area of the map to explore and put your map marker there. Do not abuse your editing privileges. Only move your claimed marker and do not make any other changes.
Fill out the search form below and post to the thread.
I will respond and tell you what you've discovered. Things to discover include:

An item you're looking for
An item you're not looking for
A valuable item (including gem and retired items)
An encounter with a Scarred Wasteland denizen

The item you discover is partially determined by where you have searched on the map and partially by RNG.

RPing is encouraged. The more you RP the higher the likelihood of finding a valuable item. You can only discover an item once per day but you can RP as many times as you want. See further RP rules and guidelines below.
Read the Q&A post at least once before starting! It has further guidelines and rules for gameplay.
Please be patient! Found items will be given out in batches and will not necessarily be awarded directly after you search. Maybe pass the time with some RPing!

Guidelines and Rules for RPers

You can RP multiple times a day (though you can only search for an item once a day)
You can interact with other RPing explorers within two grid squares from you (in any direction)
Before interacting with an explorer, check the explorer list to make sure they are open to RP interactions!!

How many times can I do everything again?

You can search for an item once a day. You can RP as many times as you want.

It stands for "Food (Insects/Meat/Seafood/Plants)". You can choose to search for a specific food type or all four by just selecting "Food". No, the "Other" category does not include unhatched eggs or other “valuable” items. Eggs are included in the valuable item category.

It's a new day but I still haven't received my item from yesterday....

Sorry! Life happens and I'm running two other events for RoR, as well as a Roundsey tracker, a subspecies, and a personal quest. You do not need to wait to receive your previous item before searching again. The map image is backed up every day so I will be able to see your search history and assign prizes regardless of how many days it has been.

It may take several minutes. Don't worry, the map image will update eventually, and I assign prizes based off the google drawings document, which will always be updated.

My chosen map marker is:

A brief introduction of my dragon explorer: A field researcher - Mochi is one of the Waking Wasteland's cursed crew. Being borne of Plague flight, he is consistently resilient to outside pathogens and illnesses, giving him the idea to set out and find cures for non-Plague dragons.
I am open to RP interaction: Yes

Optional for RPers
Personality of your dragon explorer: Despite his resolution, he is a bit skittish - will flinch and even bolt at the slightest hint of danger. When it comes to smarts, though - he is steadfast and confident.
Things other people should know before interacting with my explorer: If he finds you terrifying don't be disheartened - he's come from a bit of a rough life and keeps alive by running, as he doesn't have the ferocity to protect himself.
