Er- contestants. Slip of the tongue. I will be your facilitator for this contest as we celebrate the Simple Life of the Everbloom Vale. I am Professor Severus Snek and I teach Potions at BioMagica Academy. This contest will help you in finding ways to make the simple life a little easier. Each day you will receive an assignment of an item you are to make. You are not to build or craft this- you must use Nature's own magic and your cauldrons. You will compose your potions recipe and turn it in on a scroll and, whenever possible, demonstrate the process to the group. There will be seven days worth of assignments. However, whether or not you get an assignment in on the day it is announced is of no consequence. You must simply turn in all assignments prior to rollover time in the Vale on the seventh day. This way if someone misses a day, they still have the opportunity to participate.I will post the winners on the board in this meadow after the close of contest. For those not magically inclined there will be daily discussions you may join in on for a chance at a daily randomly drawn prize. All are encouraged to take part. I wish you all the best of luck. In most games you are assigned a FR item and then you create the "recipe," "potion," or "concoction" in a FR type of fiction that appeals to the judges fancy and you win. To aid your endeavors to that end, below is an example of a potion. Powerful Serthis Poison 1 tsp. Bonepriest Venom 2 tsp. Noxious Coralclimber Toxin 1 Blue Ring Octopus Tentacle 1 Glowing Tail 1 Ghastly Houndskull Mimic Powder 1/4c. Ancient Fungus Spores 2 Tbsp. [b]Step 2:[/b] Set the jar of slime into the pot being careful to nestle it among the embers. [b]Step 3:[/b] Add 1 tsp of Powerful Serthis Potion, 1 tsp of Bonepriest venom and 2 tsp of Noxious Coralclimber Toxin to the slime. Stir gently. Bring to a boil. [b]Step 4:[/b] Carefully add 1 Bluering Octopus tentacle and the Glowing tail. [b]Step 5:[/b] Boil 10 minutes, or until thickened. [b]Step 6:[/b] Add the Ghastly Houndskull to the mixture. [b]Step 7:[/b] Sprinkle the Mimic powder on the surface of the mixture. [b]Step 8:[/b] Boil 24 hours. [b]Step 9:[/b] Meanwhile, add 1/4c ancient Fungus Spores and 2 Tbsp Pollen to the Fungalhoof Qiriq horn. Swirl gently. [b]Step 10:[/b] The Skull mixture is finished when the skull has completely dissolved. Carefully add skull mixture to the horn until full. [b]Step 11:[/b] Seal the horn with Carpenters wax. [b]Step 12: [/b] Let the wax set. Now your Vile Bolt is ready to use. Just carry into battle and throw at your enemy. [b]Notes:[/b] The Slime is the base of the Toxic mixture. Then the poison, venom and Toxin are added and boiled for maximum potency. Then the tentacle is added and boiled to extract the venom from within. The glow tail is boiled to extract its bioluminescence. The Skull is added with mimic powder so that the final mixture will reform itself into the skull shape when deployed. The mimic powder also causes disorientation to its target. Fungal Spores are added to up the toxicity and pollen is added to aggravate any allergies of the target, weakening them further. The horn is toxic itself and is used to enhance the poisons in the entire mixture, making this a vile Bolt indeed. The wax is just a sealant to contain the mixture until used in battle.
