TOPIC | [Personal] Eliminate in Training Fields
1 2 3
It recently came to my attention that Eliminates drop in every coliseum venue except the Mire and Crystal Pools. "Hey," said my brain, "we could probably get an Eliminate in, like, the Training Fields!"

Then I figured I'd probably level out before I got anything interesting. So, here's my challenge:

Get an Eliminate in as low-level of a venue as I can

Then I figured I could always exalt and keep grinding with a new team. New challenge:

Get an Eliminate in the Training Fields

I'd love to be added, I've wondered if it's even possible to be honest.

Please ping me even if you're not interested in the dragons I show you :)
@sparkdust This is… a really cool and potentially really painful idea! (Followed the link from your sig.) I don't know your battle experience and situation, but please feel free to ignore any and all of this— I'm making this post with good intentions, but intentions aren't everything, and I don't want you to feel like I'm talking down to you. I just saw this, thought, "oh, I did something similar to some of that before!" and want to offer advice from my experience only if you need or want it. • Even if you're not gaining experience anymore in the Training Fields, you can actually farm the Training Fields incredibly fast as low as level 10 (which you can't reach in the Training Fields but can reach by making a detour to the Woodland Path) you should be able to one-shot most (but not all) enemies in the Training Fields, which speeds up the process of grinding significantly. Potentially valuable if you're looking for a specific hyper-rare drop like Eliminate. Also works for just one dragon— as long as you have a dragon with 25 QCK and somewhere approaching 48 STR (more with Elemental Might fragments) they can grind the Training Fields entirely solo and not too much slower than a higher level dragon. Source: when I have the time and treasure, I sometimes real quick train up solo "starter farmers" to toss at newbies with an interest in the Coli and it seems to work out okay as far as my own tests went— not too much slower than my level 25s. • That said your idea of leveling fodder this way is actually what inspired me to comment— that's the technique I used to use! Eventually I got a team of 25 and started using the trainer method, but before that, it was endless teams of three going through the Training Fields and the Woodland Path. • I have heard stories from people who got Eliminate in the Training Fields, though it's never happened to me, so you should be able to do it. Your quest is terrifying to me, but I wish you the best of luck with the boss fight that is RNG! [emoji=sword and shield] [emoji=ridgeback laughing]

@mothscale
Thanks for the luck-wishing! I'm not sure I totally understand your advice, but I'm gonna try to recap:

One-shot the enemies with a single, high-level dragon in order to go Super Fast (and make a levelling detour to the Path at some point to achieve that).

If I don't get what I want out of the Dream Team, I'll try that!

Yes, functionally! Even as low as level 10 you can go pretty fast if you have your stats distributed according to Sedona or Culex. :D

Good luck, again!
