TOPIC | [Pinkerlocke] Warmer Horizons
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
Three young dragons living in a clan of ice, none born with the frost in their blood themselves, decided they had had enough of freezing their scales off. The others in their clan may be perfectly content to live their lives buried in snow, but not these three! They want to thrive, not just survive! And so they set out to find someplace warm... but not before one of their old clan's mages cursed them so that all of their children would be born with ice magic in their veins, in the hopes that this would eventually bring them back.

Welcome to my Pinkerlocke! It uses all the same rules as the original, except for the fact that I started with adult dragons rather than the true cheapest dragons on the ah because I'm impatient.
The accompanying lore thread can be found here, because by the time I was invested enough to make lore without Pinkerton telling me to, it was a little late to be incorporating it into this thread.
For the food Pinkerton drop, I'm going to use a medium mode where I randomise the venue based on what my highest level dragons are actually capable of handling levelwise. Battle stone drop uses hardmode. I also probably won't draw for trinket drops unless I'm in the mood to do so. Any egg found by the pinkerlocke dragons will join the run.
EDIT: Since making this thread, several new possibilities for new rules have come up.
- If all dragons currently alive in the run make it to Level 25, the run is over, and I win.
- If all dragons die, the run is over, and I lose.
- Instead of being exalted, dead dragons will be sent to the tab in my hibernal den labelled 'Graveyard'.
- If the battle stone Pinkerton gives out is Aid or Regenerate, this will not be treated as a death streak, and will instead be used to revive a fallen dragon. If there are no fallen dragons, this will grant the next dragon to be knocked out in battle immunity to death, but only once.

Day 1 ...Well, if I'm honest, I don't particularly feel like doing any art right now. I'll save it for later. For now, I'll just do a bit of coli-ing with these girls, so there's less chance they'll have their tails kicked by a death streak. Plus, it'd be nice to have a chance at an egg baby to join their ranks; with three girls, I don't even get to take advantage of apparel drops just yet! ...that is allowed in a pinkerlocke, right? Oh well. It's my run, I make the rules. If they die they die though. Besides, it's a good chance for me to learn my team; I've never used pearlcatchers or ridgebacks on a coli team before, so I have no idea what their starting stones are! Apparently pearlcatchers have meditate/contuse and ridgebacks have scratch/shred. That's good, since I love having two melee dragons and a mage. I'll probably do Tedo and Vesarie as Sedona builds and Zuelim as whatever a good mage equivalent to that is, as I don't want to spend too much on these guys. If they find apparel, I'll probably stick it on one of them. Adds character! EDIT: I'm just gonna wing it with the build. What could possibly go wrong?

Day 2 ...thanks Pinkerton. Much appreciated. Fortunately, I flipped tails, so the death streak won't claim anyone today. And unless I rolled one of the lower venues, it absolutely would've destroyed someone. I think I'll add a rule where the dragons must complete 5 battles in training fields, just to try to find eggs to join them. Not a massive challenge, but adds a bit of risk.

Day 3 Okay, so insects mean 20-30 matches. Do I pick whether I do 20 or 30? I'll just randomly generate. ...number generator says 20. According to the actual medium mode rules, my dragons will be fighting in training fields. I'll be back with an edit on how the matches went! EDIT: 20 matches went fine! Had to refresh at about 8 matches because the enemies were picking on Vesarie, but everyone lived! They didn't find anything interesting besides a broken flowerpot, but they're all alive, which is what really matters.

@narkov so true! I'm glad they survived, because getting killed by the weakest enemies would definitely be a sucky way to go XD
That, and I really don't want them to die at all

Day 4 Another 20-30 matches day! Number generator says 22 today, and the dragons are still in training fields for now. In addition, because I didn't notice when I was buying the starter dragons that they were all female, and I got attached to one of my progen's sons that i'd been trying to give away, I added this boy to the run: meet Palidai! Now I don't have to wait for an egg or a familiar drop, lmao. EDIT: Zuelim, Tedo, and Vesarie got through their 22 matches with ease! Also, there is now a win condition and a lose condition! If every dragon in the run reaches level 25 at once, they win, and get to join the main lair. If all dragons die, it is a loss.

Day 5 Ok, this is the literal worst time to get an Ambush from Pinkerton. And I flipped heads. So it seems like I have to stay in Woodland Path for 10 consecutive battles or until a death happens. Fingers crossed that last bit isn't the case. EDIT: Everyone lived! Although, thee were a few close calls, because the enemies really liked picking on Vesarie, and Tedo got jumped by basilisks. Fortunately, healing potions are a thing. They all leveled up to level 5 here. In addition, they found a vial of hypnotic sight while they fought! So, because Tedo got such a nasty shock with those basilisks, she gets to have swirl eyes!
