This game will run from February 24th through March 2nd, with the final posting on the 3rd. For your entertainment I (and my daily guests) will offer three three three riddles for you to solve. [b]DO NOT answer the riddles in this thread or in the forum!!![/b] No – that would be giving the answers away. Answer these riddles in a [b]private message [/b]to my lairspirit, Emberglo. (Note: there is no ‘w’ in Emberglo.) Just read the riddles, figure out the answers and send her the message with the answers. If you don’t know all three, answer one or two but please guess at them. There will be prizes! [b]Here is a clue for you:[/b] All the answers can be found in a HOARD, or somewhere on Sornieth or found in Flight Rising. (Not necessarily your hoard but in some hoard somewhere. Probably Emberglo's - just sayin'!) The next day the three three three answers will be posted along with three three three new riddles. A prize will be given away to three three three winners. Rumor has it these prizes are the answers to the riddles! How very TRICKY! (Is this a clue?) The winners will be chosen from those who answered the riddles by a random number generator applied to Emberglo's private 'Spreadsheet of Wonderful Participating Riddle Guessers'. This game will continue until all 21 riddles have been posted. Then the final answers will be listed on the 3rd. THEN – more prizes will be awarded!!! The prizes will go to the Riddle Guessers who answered the most riddles! And ties will be resolved by the Infamous RNG Oracle. (That means NINE more prizes will be given away.) After walking for a while, Anadem suddenly disappears right into the side of a mountain! You follow... and stumble over yet another pine cone. "I think I found our riddle." "Read it." Anadem walks past you as you read it again, leaving Binder to collect the pinecone. "South and west again, I believe. And to one of my favorite places in the maze!" You follow as the scenery changes. From dark and gloomy, now the view is open and clear. A small creature scurries by, a pinecone balanced on its back. Anadem grabs it as you and Binder look out in the distance to a huge rock, occupied by many creatures who sing a song. You can barely understand the words but it sounds beautiful. She enters a large culvert leading to a damp area. You hope you will be safe in here. It doesn't look very comfortable. You don't have to stay there tonight so we will say 'Goodbye' to Anadem and begin to wander down this path. You follow the tiny Nocturne while trying to read the third riddle. Slowly the rain changes to snow. "We'd better find this riddle quickly before it disappears under this blizzard," Binder remarks. "Maybe it's in that trunk." Cecropia points. Off the path a bit is a large purple chest with some glowing blue mushrooms growing on it. While you are wondering how mushrooms can survive in this weather, Binder opens the top and pulls out several items. She drops something shiny back into the chest then flits over to you. "You read it." she commands while she stashes another pinecone. [color=#009999][size=5][b]Riddle Number 11:[/b] Our hue remains and rare are we Plus smaller than our brethren be. This time it takes quite a while to get anywhere. Perhaps it wasn't that far but once the weather clears and the sun comes out, the maze is much easier to travel. "What's that structure over there?" you ask, pointing to what seems to be a large wall in the distance. The three of you wander over. While the two dragons are peering in an opening, you notice a pinecone nailed to the wall. They turn back to you as you read the clue. [size=6]Day FIVE of the Trickmurk Tri-Riddle Game. HERE WE GO![/size] "Greetings, Maze Walker. Are you ready for more traveling through the maze?" You answer. "But this has been quite an adventure and I'm ready to find the end of the maze." "Not for a while yet I fear. Let's continue further north-east and see who we find to be our guide." "Is this little one our guide?" you ask. "No - but Sedona must be up ahead as this is his familiar phoenix, Tombstone." she answers. That didn't help much because you thought Tombstone and Sedona were mythical cities in the fantasy land of Arizona... then you spot him. He is huge! The phoenix flies over to him - not a chick any longer. I found this on our path. Perhaps it is of some importance." He hands Binder a pinecone with a card attached. The tiny Nocturne - who looks even smaller next to Sedona - hands you the card. [color=#6600CC][size=5][b]Riddle Number 13:[/b] When our herd runs we leap so high That more stars shine up in the sky. Who are we?[/color][/size] [item=starry ampelope] won by dragonflare92 You notice flashes of lightning off in the distance where the sky has darkened. Does this mean more rain? You hope not. "We must travel south now. Maze Walker, if the ground becomes too hot I will carry you but I will look for an easy path. The land does change ahead." Slowly the path shifts to a black rock and strange shapes that look like they were once fluid but are now solid. The air heats and smells of sulfur. Sedona has you climb up and hold onto his tools. It's rather exciting but a bit scary too as a volcano erupts in the distance. Fortunately, very far in the distance. The phoenix flies ahead then returns carrying a slightly scorched pinecone and card which Sedona distributes to you and Binder. "Thank you Tombstone. You have saved us from a more dangerous section of the maze. The riddle is?" [color=#009999][size=5][b]Riddle Number 14:[/b] Our spell's power is found in Sornieth's crust. Our motto should be 'In volcanoes we trust!" Who are we?[/color][/size] [item=flamescale illusionist] won by Disillusionist (you rhyme!) Sedona turns south and west. The path below you hardens to a glassy lavender sheen dotted with crystals. It's really quite beautiful. Sedona leads you along the banks of a swifty flowing river. "It is safe to walk now but avoid the growths. They can be sharp." Sedona warns. Beneath an especially large formation there is a chest. It looks like the other one you found - purple with mushrooms attached. You walk over, open the chest and remove the pinecone and card. "What are these other things in the chest?" you ask. "They are not your concern." Binder answers. "Leave them for a team to discover. What is the riddle?" [color=#663399][size=5][b]Riddle Number 15:[/b] Is that a knock? There'll be one soon Then we will dance 'Neath violet moon. Who are we?[/size][/color] [item=moonbeam crayfish] won by Xilusweb "Remain here until your next guide appears. You will be quite safe if you avoid the formations and stay out of the pools." Sedona and the phoenix - who looks different again - somewhat brown and scorched -move a short distance away. You settle in beneath a large amethyst formation to read through the riddles after waving goodbye to the large Guardian and his ...egg. He opens his great wings and flies away, cradling the egg in his talons. Today is going to be very TRICKY to get through - very interesting sights to see. "So brothers we must be!" Handsome and tiny Spirals in lovely shades of purple. The two boys spin around each other, appearing for the moment like a double-headed double-tailed multi-winged Spiral. Binder spoke up. "Let's get to the maze. Spin along Boys. Southwest again." After a long walk with three dragons flying beside you, you see something odd off in the distance. It's dark in color and appears to be very high - reaching into the clouds. "What is that up ahead?" you ask. Verily - or is it Verity - answers. "We need to cross that bridge over there." "It's very steep up in the air." "Is that a cloud at the top?" The two boys spin around each other agin, this time in a ball shape. It would be funny if you weren't so nervous about that bridge. "Just hold our claws." "We'll balance you." "Sure would be easier.." "If you flew." With one Spiral on each side and Binder flying ahead, you boldly go up the bridge. It is very very steep but with the help of the two constantly chattering boys, you get through the cloud at the top. You feel a bit damp for a while - and the descent is almost as scary. "You did it - was that so hard?" "Now we must find a cone and card." The landscape is quite barren on this side of the bridge. Large rocks in tall shapes dot the landscape. Is that a cluster of bones over there? Verily - or is it Verity - spins over to what looks like a skull. From beneath it, he pulls out a pinecone and a card. His brother grabs the card and reads the riddle. [color=#6600CC][size=5][b]Riddle Number 16:[/b] Rescue me from someone's dinner Then bond with me 'coz you're the winner. Who am I?[/color][/size] [item=dodo] won by sidegrinder The brother's spin around each other, repeating the riddle. Binder rolls her eyes at you as you take the southwest path. The large rocks change into huge moving gears. They are a bit frightening, just spinning slowly. Long cables stretch between them. The ground appears to be a huge blue rug. Verily - or is it Verity - reaches into a hole in the rug and pulls out a pinecone and a card. His brother grabs the card and reads this riddle. [color=#009999][size=5][b]Riddle Number 17:[/b] Let me fix that! I promise not to break it. But if I do then just for you I promise I'll re-make it! Who am I?[/color][/size] [item=monkey wrench] won by sgkat The brothers find this hilarious, and tail in mouth, roll long the ground looking like big hoops. Binder shakes her head as you move east - to the sea. You assume you will walk along the beach like that other place but no - Binder dives right in! "Don't worry yourself." "We know it's wet." "But you'll be fine - it's..." "the best place yet!" Luckily, you know Sornieth is a very magical place so you follow the two Spirals into the water. They are right - you are fine. "It's fun in here." "And you don't need" "to chomp a piece." "Of gillyweed!" The two boys swim along, looking like purple eels. Binder reaches into a clump of seaweed and finds the pinecone and card. She hands you the riddle while the boys swim around you. [color=#663399][size=5][b]Riddle Number 18:[/b] It's time to eat So won't you share? There's poison in it If you dare.
