The doctor had declared the athlete to have suffered an ankle fracture. Treatment was underway, but the skater wasn't going to be fit to compete before the games concluded. The rest of the team visited their companion in the medical bay, together presenting them with a gift-basket of sweet snacks, Icefield souvenirs purchased from stalls, some flowers made of crystal and several bright 'get well soon' cards. The injured athlete enjoyed the company, and reassured everyone that it wasn't too bad, and promised to be an even better skater than ever come the following year. There was an unspoken concern that all were aware of, however. There had been hopes that the team would have a chance at the clan-medals, but the recent turn of events threw that into jeopardy. A replacement would be needed. Qualia had decided to spend the rest of the festival she had free with Illuminata, and allow Inima to show her some festival highlights. The Skydancer didn't intend to compete in a second event. Gordu had an immediate family to enjoy quality time with, and an extended family to reacquaint with. The Mirror siblings were keen to help their mother with reporting on some of the events. It was during another discussion on the matter that Cherra decided to visit her clan's team, frills flaring and flapping in explosive enthusiasm. “Valiant heroes! Your noble endeavours are invigorating to behold! I know the hour of appreciation is not yet nigh, but I could not wait to express how proud all of us are of you!” The Fae was known to be proud of the Flights of Arcane and Light, and enjoyed seeing teams work together on some magnificent achievement. “We very much appreciate it, Cherra.” Bontu thanked the Fae. “Now, who is it that I must wish fortune's favours upon today?” “Unfortunately, we are trying to figure that out ourselves. There's been an injury, and someone else needs to do the speed-skate today.” These Winter Games were fast becoming the highlight of the year for Cherra, and she could think of nothing better than helping her clan's team. “You know, I think you've inspired me to participate. Yes! Please accept my sinew and spirit for your cause! I may not have the training of any of your fine selves, but it would be an honour to stand beside you.” They had been at the stage where they were considering whether Bontu or Saya should take up skates that day. Neither had trained for that particular event, but felt a decision had to be made soon. Saya was unsure, but Bontu looked at her and said, “we're hardly going to stop her. The games are open to all.” He turned back to Cherra. "We accept your enthusiastic offer, welcome to the team!" Naturally, after what had happened to their teammate, Cherra was strongly advised to avoid any risks. “No one wants to see anyone else injured. Clear?” “Crystal-clear.” Being in front of an audience who chose to be there to assess and be entertained by her wasn't a novel experience for Cherra. The regular debates of Fae-bombast she was involved with every moon were something of an attraction. Naturally, a local clan-event's audience would not be of the same magnitude as that of an event of Sornieth-wide fame. The signal sounded, and the Fae began her dash.

He gazed out across the curling sheet, which shone like crystal, and in one swift movement he swept his curling broom towards the stone, sending it in a generous arc across the ice. It came to rest close to the house, much to his satisfaction. Hopefully his teammates would do as well. [emoji=crystal ball]

Imogen had been practicing her toe loops, spins, jumps, all in hopes of bringing home the gold metal this year. The time had finally come. As she began her event, her heart beat loudly and all she could hear was that and her team cheering from the sidelines. She hoped she could hear her music start as she tried to focus on just her program.

She nods grimly to where Pieter is heckling Sigma, skating in rings around him. As he glides across the crystal, the Imperial wobbles, turning slowly in place and blustering back all the while. Thomas is standing to one side, rather lazily telling them to "knock it off, bros, this is gettin' real stale." Somewhat farther away, Tobias trembles and clutches his hockey stick close. He looks like he is about to cry. He is also the goaltender and team captain, but that's only because he pushed for the formation of the team and is now beginning to realize that this is a bad idea. Rajin, who joined out of pity, just sighs. Rilivi, who joined out of curiosity, continues being confused.

Having saved the group events for last, they grabbed their two newest clan-members and herded them excitedly toward the area where the curling event was set to take place. Ash, Fennec, Darwin, and Vulpecula anxiously awaited the start of the event, still buzzing from the excitement of the previous days’ events. They sipped warm beverages as they discussed the clans’ performance and watched the snow fall, calmly covering everyone with many a delicate ice crystal. Ash shivered. At least it wasn’t as cold as the last few days had been, but as much as she’d been enjoying the winter events, she’d be happy to see spring when it finally came.

It looked very much like a [emoji=crystal ball] and took up about one third of the whole ice rink. The lights turned off, as per Turquoise's request and the music started. Turquoise started her routine. She skated around the crystal ball, and strands of electricity rose, filling the crystal ball with beautiful, colorful and erratic electricity. It wasn't long before Turquoise was no longer on the ground, but flying and twisting her body in acrobatics, much like indoor skydiving. She was dancing around the crystal ball, attracting and causing the strands of electricity inside to reach out to her, making her charged with it. She was glowing now, emitting sparks of electricity as she danced. The electricity within the crystal ball and around Turquoise continued to reach out to one another in an amazing display, as if they were dancing as well. This was definitely going to be a spectacular and unforgettable lightning show. Eiyora, sitting in awe on the audience stand, could only think to herself with worry and frazzled nerves, "I hope this does not call for a disqualification...she wasn't even on the ground for more than 1 minue..."
