It's a competition between clans from every flight to see who can come out on top and bring home the gold! Eight events will run during the Gala - enter as many as you want to earn tickets to the Ice Flight Gala raffles and special prizes. Besides the typical winter gear and food stalls, magical merchandise and lunar souvenirs are on display. The booths are covered with banners advertising the "Super Blood Wolf Moon Eclipse," and some entrepreneurial dragons are selling insulated blankets and eclipse viewing packages. On small stages, storytellers in face masks and haoris act out the legend of the Hati and the moon. You wonder what happened in the past... A cheerful, energetic Spiral greets you, "Hello! Your clan can compete in as many or as few events as you'd like, but to be eligible for the overall medals, you need to enter at least seven out of eight." The Spiral notices you looking at a "Donations Accepted" sign on a small barrel next to the booth. "Entering the Winter Games is free each year, but running an event does take a lot of time away from other festival activites. If you happen to have any spare Eternal Snow or food or Sand Creepers that you would like to donate, our clan would be grateful! "But please don't feel any pressure to donate. [i]Can I do pairs figure skating or does it have to be individual?[/i] I'll leave it up to you! [*]The post can be about your dragon's preparation for the event, or waiting nervously to start, or actually participating. Up to you! [*]Please don't have your dragons "win" or "lose" the event in your post. You can have them on top of the leader board or have a bad run that initially puts them at the bottom (or not mention it at all), but I do need some flexibility for when the winners are chosen. [*]Participants are banned from using magic to win or cheating in other ways. Creativity is fine :-) [*]You can enter the same dragon every day or rotate among clan members. Have fun! [*]Don't feel the need to enter all the events on the same day - you can spread your entries throughout the entire week of the Gala. "I'm here to register for Figure Skating." The events were running concurrently this year, due to travel schedules, so dragons had to pick a time slot to compete. Since she had signed up early, Lily had a lot of flexibility in choosing when she would do her routine in front of the judges. As there were so many other activities during the Gala, she opted to go on Day 1. Having practiced in the offseason, the Skydancer felt fully prepared, although it certainly helped that this was her home rink and she didn't need to have any training sessions to get used to it. As she looked down the course, a huge grin spread across her face. Nothing was more exciting than racing down the icy track, taking the turns at breakneck speeds, feeling the cold air rush by her. The starting pistol jolted her into action. She flew down the track, avoiding even tiny errors that might hurt her place in the standings. Now, she just had to wait for her competitors to finish so she could truly see how she did.
