[item=star moss] So Aurea and Amaryllis made it through 10 rounds in one piece. I haven't statted them yet (no wonder battling earlier was so difficult), and since they're both faes, I pretty much dumped all (actually most) stats into INT and QCK. I checked, and Amaryllis is RTB in two days, so I bought a mate ahead of time for her:
Purchased 1/23/19 9g Flint/Gloom/Antique Savannah/Shimmer/Firefly
Winterheart, who came already named and RTB. EDIT: I just realized that even if we get a skydancer heir, we'll still be battling in the coli without any physical attackers. Sigh.

Amaryllis, curled up beside her eggs, eyed them uncertainly. She didn't know which would die and which would survive. She had no way of knowing what Paradox wanted with her children. All she could do was wait. Wait and see. The skydancer was training them for something she feared would not be good. Looking at her three eggs, Amaryllis wondered if it would be better to kill her own hatchlings, to save them from whatever fate Paradox had in mind. As long as nobody had to suffer... except, of course, for the sacrifices.
Amaryllis, what are you doing? Anyway, our pair is on a nest of three. I'm kind of annoyed that Winterheart's genes likely won't pass on--except for Savannah, which is anyway a step down in rarity. Whoops.

Amaryllis, what are you doing?

No, Amaryllis realized. Because Paradox would do this to so much more dragons, in the future, and nothing I do would change anything. He would punish me, and that would be four lost lives... for nothing.

So she curled up her talons quietly, choosing not to harm them. For the alternative... although it would change things, not in the long run. Not in the least bit.

Well. A breed and gene upgrade. Let's hope Platina survives.

Roundsey made me cry last week... I spent so much for those WC scrolls.

Anyway, the three siblings are ready to kick butt in the training fields. To shorten things up a bit, Hemlock survived.

NONE of the enemies in the training fields hit her. It was like she won before the battle even began.

Amaryllis lifted her head slowly. Why was she... lying on the ground... here, of all places?

There was something missing. Not just something, something... important. A blank space in her mind that may never be filled. For all she knew, these memories could be false ones, or just fantasies she made up in her dreams.
