Got very lucky in the AH just now. [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=49931524] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/499316/49931524_350.png[/img] [/url] This is Void, and he's Hunter/Obsidian/Saffron. Only two colors off. I'm still determining whether I want to mix him with a preexisting bloodline, or try to establish a new one with him. I'm leaning towards the latter option, but not sure of it yet. For now he's resting in my Den.

What a good find! :0 You could try both and see which option gives you a better outcome?

That's true, there's probably no reason I shouldn't put him with Aerfen for now, given I don't think I'm going to bother breeding her with Omicron anymore....good idea, thank you! c:

I definitely need to clear some lair space if I'm picking up another pair, though. '>< 5 spaces open at the moment...it's probably worth getting rid of some of my other pairs at this point, really. Might actually be counterproductive to keep Omicron and Radial around.

Okay, I've thought it over a bit more, and I think the appropriate course of action is actually to replace Zeal with Void as Switch's mate. They'll have a 7-color range, and their offspring shouldn't be related to anyone but Siadina and Amarok. Getting even one Shamrock/Obsidian/Saffron hatchling out of them seems like it could be immensely helpful.

Also, instead of just exalting Zeal, I can pair him with Aerfen for a 4-color range. Zeal's related to basically everyone, but I think I can work with it. I have some rearranging to do.

And I am retiring Omicron and Radial. With how mixed up the bloodlines are, I think one correct hatchling out of them is good enough.

She's been up for sale for a few weeks, and I wasn't sure I wanted her because I always feel bad about buying/exalting G1s, but I really don't think anyone else was going to buy her. I think I'm going to start looking for more broad-range pairs from the AH. I expect I'll have to repeat the narrow-down process many times for this project, just so everyone doesn't end up related to one another. It might be good to get that going again soon.
