Three heads of the Blooming Stars clan set forth a plan: they split up into hunting teams to survive the winter. The clan was already divided in two, and now the halves would be divided again. Theodore and Delta go their separate ways, and Kiki a third. It’s her story we’re following. Kiki trusted her apprentices, so she had chosen them without wasting a heartbeat. Nothing was going to be easy, but it was going to be necessary for the clan to survive. The sun set every day, the sun was a rarity by the time the head dragons knew it was time to let the hunters go. The three young dragons set on their path, unknowingly to them that they were headed into The Southern Icefield. This is the most essential rule of a nuzlocke. All loot obtained in the coliseum is irrelevant, as is the loot obtained from gathering. There are no restrictions about applying apparel to your dragons. Do whatever makes sense to you. Same goes for familiars. And, most crucially, all nuzlocke activity corresponds with the loot you obtain daily from Pinkerton's plundered pile! [b]Sentimental Rule[/b] If a dragon reaches level 25 it "retires". It can join the ranks of my lair as a savior and a leader, like Kiki, Delta, and Theodore. [b]Drops of Fate[/b] Food: Coliseum time!* Plants: 10-20 matches Insects: 20-30 matches Seafood: 30-40 matches Meat: 40-50 matches [size=2]*also this determines what food the group catches that day[/size] [b]Choosing From One Of These Two Rules[/b] Hardmode: You must select coliseum challengers in your lair using a random number generator. Then, select the coliseum arena that corresponds to the highest level dragon of that group [s](For a 'medium' mode, select the venue that is one tier down from that of highest level dragon)[/s]. If your dragons level up while in an area, you can still stay there for the whole day. You can quit your battle streak at any time to regen health, and flee from battles if it is appropriate. Don't try do 50 matches in a row unless you want a wiped-out dragon! [s]OR [/s] [s]Easymode: Choose whichever team and venue you want and go for it. Running from battles, using health pots, and ending the battle streak is fine, as I explained above. (These ranges can also be altered to suit your level of activity/personal preference.)[/s] [b]Materials and Trinkets[/b] Flex your creative muscles! Materials: Do some writing for your nuzlocke. How does your new nuzlocke clan change and develop? What are your dragons like personality-wise? How do they get along? How do they die? Is there an antagonist in this nuzlocke, or are they merely struggling against the forces of nature? Write dragon bios! Make a blog, or a thread for your challenge in the creative forums! Write short stories or paragraphs, or add to one big one adventure! Trinkets: Do some art for your nuzlocke! Digital or traditional, use whatever medium feels best for you. Draw deaths. Draw dragons. Draw humanized versions of your dragons (if that's your sort of thing). Draw familiars and dragons together. It doesn't have to be that good or elaborate. If you make a nuzlocke thread, post your art there. Obviously, you might not have time in your day to do something creative. If that's the case, don't worry about it. Use a random number generator (between 1-14) to determine which breed you will get! 1. Fae 2. Guardian 3. Mirror 4. Pearlcatcher 5. Ridgeback 6. Tundra 7. Spiral 8. Imperial 9. Snapper 10. Wildclaw 11. Nocturne 12. Coatl 13. Skydancer 14. Bogsneak [i]*if I have a dragon I want in the pinkerlocke I will be adding them instead, this will not happen every time.*[/i] Apparel: Breed* two of your dragons. The dragons you pick are up to you. You can also change one of the genes on a dragon, or use a scatterscroll if you are rich and crazy. [size=2]*If no dragons have had enough chemistry, or are ready to breed, then I treat this as though it was a familiar[/size] [b]Note:[/b] You must flip a coin for each hatchling once they hatch. If tails, the dragon is dead and you must exalt it*. *This is the one time I will exalt, as I haven't bonded with hatchlings and I need room all the time [b]Battle Items[/b] Uh-oh!!! Flip a coin. Heads = [i]DEATH STREAK[/i] Tails = Nothing happens [i]DEATH STREAK[/i] rules: Randomly select three dragons using a random number generator. Fight in the coliseum using the "food" rules 10 rounds consecutively (ie. you cannot leave that arena), quitting midway if a dragon dies. If you are using the easymode rules, switch to the hardmode rules for battlestones.

The sun, if it was even there, was covered by layer after layer of clouds. The wind was blowing loudly and strongly, leaving the trio looking for any shelter they could. "Do you think a canal could work? I know an underwater spring that has room for us to walk in. We might even find some fish to eat." The pearlcatcher of the group asked, her teeth chittering and her legs shaking, "Also it's very warm. Like, toasty buns warm." "Toasty buns? I'm hot enough, but I guess lunch would be nice..." The coatl added, her feathers tucked as far in her fur as they could go. The two girls went pouncing in the snow, while Pathos, the imperial, took a deep breath and spread his wings. The male sighed happily as he let the wind between his feathers, enjoying the cold. "Come on snowbrain- we're freezing!" Called Mythos, the coatl, as the girls got to the entrance to a cave where water flowed down quickly.[/size] [/columns] [columns][size=4]As the group walked down the rocks, it was more then one time that Pathos had to grab a girl from the freezing water, eventually shoving his friends under his wings and guiding them past the icy steps. When the three dragons were at the bottom of the canal Gemini flew forward, lighting a bulb of magic in her claws, illuminating the natural passage underground. "So... Where are the fish, Gem?" Mythos asked, still tucked under the imperial's wings. "They're here, you just aren't listening well enough." Gemini replied with a chuckle hardly stopped from erupting. As the conversation dulled off into awkward silence Gemini was suddenly in the water, wrestling a flailing fish of some sort. She easily brought it out of the water, only a few scratches between her whiskers were visible. She shook her head, water flying on to her companions as she grabbed the tiny shark. "Told you.
