So now you know what cryptid you're most like it's time to find out a bit about them!
Crabbard
The Crabbard is one of the more commonly known Cryptids. There are many tales floating around Sornieth about a strange crab with a ridiculous amount of hair and long flowing beard, that pops up to dragons in the Redrock Cove to impart its wisdom. Some dragons tell of learning new intelligence about one of the dragon gods whilst others simply what they should have for dinner. The Crabbard has never been found to be incorrect however, and some dragons have now taken to simply shouting into the sea hoping to find an answer to their question. No one knows quite how the Crabbard knows so much, but theories include a vast underwater library to it living since the beginning of the third age.
Ohanzee
As far as Cryptids go, the Ohanzee is the most cryptic. Only stories so far tell of it’s existence and there have been no none sightings so far. The Ohanzee is said to have similarities to the shade in appearance by theorists, and from drawings from older generations of dragons it would appear this is to be true. These drawings have popped up across the world so there is no firm belief as to where the Ohanzee may live. In some locations, drawings were found to show dragons leaving offerings or gifts to the Ohanzee. It is not known whether these offerings were to keep the Ohanzee at bay, like the Shade, or if they were offerings left in praise. Either way, it appears that some sort of event caused the disappearance of the Ohanzee, and it has not been found since. Many cryptologists have resigned to believe that the Ohanzee is just a legend, but there is always the hope by some that the Ohanzee will come back one day, for good or bad.
Hokuslime
The Hokuslime has claimed to be spotted in Sea of a Thousand Currents. The Hokuslime looks like a wave which makes it so hard to spot – the only difference being that it doesn’t quite follow the tide. Not one to follow the crowd, the Hokuslime likes to blend in to its surroundings and sneak up on unsuspecting victims swimming nearby. Depending on what mood it’s currently in, this may be anything from a quick tickle to something slightly more severe. No two Hokuslime have been seen together and it’s not known if there is more than one in existence. Not much else is known about the Hokuslime as it’s rarely seen above the depths of the thousand currents, but many dragons have been known to dive under trying to seek what else is hiding below the surface.
Mother Psywurm
EVADE EVADE EVADE! Sorry, I’m not sure what over took me there. The mother psywurm has known to be spotted in the mire, a regular haunting place of coliseum teams training up their young dragons to fight in the name of their clan. Normal psywurms can be a struggle for some dragons, especially with their quick movements allowing them to dodge incoming attacks, but this is nothing compared to the mother psywurm. Appearing once in a while (probably when she gets tired of your attempts to eliminate), she is said to be three times the size of a normal psywurm. Pink in colour, she has yet to be defeated by any coliseum team. Many teams return for the challenge, but usually leave without managing to find her. With psychic powers, she can probably feel the fear of your team, making the mire all the sweeter. Perhaps in future you should only wish for shellion.
Jackalope
Unlike the Sprangyroo the Jackalope is a more timid creature despite it’s intimidating presence (for a rabbit anyway). With large antler horns on it’s head, the Jackalope shows incredible strength when threatened, bouncing away with incredible speed or by standing its guard, using it’s antlers as a weapon. Cryptologists are also testing how similar the Jackalope is to its similar species the rabbit. Usually upon testing whether or not it also likes flora and vegetables come away with a few bites to their claws. Do not be fooled by its beauty/cuteness – the Jackalopes do not make good familiars. Please bring me along if you want to try however, I’m sure it will be humorous. I won't bring anyone else along, I promise.
Loch Ness Monster
Within the skies of the Windswept Plateau lies a floating island containing a large lake. Unlike the others in Windswept Plateau, this one never has any visitors. Beneath the smooth surface there are tales of a large monster, said to look like a snake with fins/legs (no one quite knows which), which swims deep beneath the surface, never coming up for breath. Or so they say. Once in a while, a brave dragon will land upon the island, looking for the loch ness monster, hoping for a glimpse. Those that do manage to spot the creature are always in for a pleasant surprise. For unlike the scary monster they expect, a rather cute, silly one they find instead. Giving everyone it sees a smile, it’s a wonder the loch ness monster doesn’t pop up more often. If only there were someone to tell the truth.
Chucapabra
Wild and aggressive, the Chucapabra must be tracked with care when attempting to search for it. Many dragons have searched for the ever evasive Chucapabra in order to learn it’s tricks on how to look so cool as it was once rumoured to be wearing sunglasses (who knows where these rumours come from, seriously). Instead of glasses all they have ever received is a sharp scratch or slap ( I guess it serves them right for believing such ridiculous things!). Budding cryptologists usually use the Chucapabra as a good starting point for their careers as the trail of destruction it often leaves in its wake is a good way to learn tracking skills. It is unknown whether or not the Chucapabra is native to Sornieth or not or whether it is infact an alien. Either way , the Chucapabra has often been confused with many creatures of the Viridian Labyrinth which explains the exceeding number of recent spottings. That and the whole monster hunting thing we have going on lately.
