It took so long to get the wildclaw boy to sleep. He's sweet, very innocent, and completely out of his depth here. Although, in reality, we all are. Iriza eventually got some rest too. I...I just couldn't bear to shut my eyes. The darkness in this place was oppressive enough, having an extra layer would just be too much. I need some light. Something. Anything.
We had both agreed, my sister and I, that moving quietly was the best plan. That swarm from before had taken a lot out of us, poor Iriza especially. The ones she had killed had given me chills. They looked familiar, like tiny webwings, but stretched and squashed out of place like well molded lumps of clay. There were claws where there should be feathers, and eyes where there shouldn't be any at all, and their beaks were full of some strange liquid.
Neither of us had wanted to stay long and study the dead creatures. Ghar was already shaken enough, and the idea of the rest of the swarm coming back to finish the job was scary for everyone. Still, I would have liked to examine them. Something is very wrong about this place, and I am scared those things are not the worst creatures in these halls.
Everyone is asleep now. I am worried about Iriza. Perhaps it was just the shock of the fight, but she has been especially quiet and has complained of the amber lumps itching badly. I have tried my best healing magic to -
Wait. No! No, Ghar, stop!
Some dragons collect dried pieces of this coral for lair decorations.

Bought a [item=freezing slash] for Ghar for when he hits level 5. Iriza is now the only one without a second ability stone lined up, I'm not sure what to get her. Probably an ice bolt or something
A frigid, painful slash of razor-sharp ice chunks. Deals close-combat Ice damage to one target. May only be used by ice dragons.

Did Ghar's nightmares attract something?
Yes...yes they did.
Luckily for the trio they were prepared for the attack. They were under no allusions that the beasts in the tunnels were friendly or harmless. They took defensive positions before Ghar had even calmed down. Skittering down the hall, and then a chain of pocketmice appeared, tails melding into the flesh of their followers' shoulders and backs. The one at the front was horribly scarred and blind. It was easy enough for the three of them to chase it away, a terrible scream disappearing into the darkness.
