Hello, and welcome to the world of [s]tears and heartbreak[/s] Pokemon! My name is Feather, and currently I'm doing some Shiny hunting, and thought I would record my progress here! For those who are unaware, Shiny Pokemon are your regular Pokemon, except they are a different coloration! [b][u]Terminology:[/u][/b] Full Odds: Not using any hacks or tricks to find the shiny. The odds of finding one are 1 in 8192 in Generations 1 - 5, and 1 in 4092 in gens 6 and 7. Usually I'll refer to this as Naturally Encountered. Soft Reset/Soft Resetting/SR's: works for starter Pokémon and most Legendary Pokémon. Basically, the method is to stand in front of the legendary Pokémon the player character will catch or the starter Pokémon they will take and save. If the player doesn't get the Pokemon they want, restart the game and check again. Rinse and repeat. Usually takes over 1000 SR's to get a shiny. Masuda Method: A very complicated way of hatching a shiny. If you're curious, look it up because it takes a very long time to explain. Chaining - Basically a Variation of Full Odds hunting,except the odds go up the longer your chain. Again, if you're curious, look it up because it is complicated. Lets get hunting! Just saw this bec of your forum signature! I wish you luck on all of your hunts! Im currently hunting for a shiny mimikyu and a im soft resetting for a shiny popplio

@DJFeather i can help you i have a few extra shinies from the wormhole but im current sr hunting for shiny virizion on ultra moon shiny torchic on alpha sapphire horde hunting for shiny female poochyena on omega ruby and full odds for shiny riolu on pokemon y oh and full odds shiny hunting for either shiny ponyta or shiny eevee on lets go eevee may switch targets there though
