The trainees had tested Hungry Ghost's patience. The Ghostlight Ruins were undoubtedly not the best place to train exaltees for the Plaguebringer. The Shambler gave her a hard time for not following her advice and training in the Mire, but Hungry Ghost felt it was important that the young ones learn to battle more incorporeal enemies. Perhaps it was nostalgia that kept drawing her to the ruins. Was she just seeking an excuse to return there?
Daylight was running short and her patience shorter. The usual way home was easy relatively free of danger, but it was longer. There was a shortcut, though: a rarely-traveled path of uneven terrain and the bones of countless unlucky explorers. It was a risk, but Hungry Ghost was confident that she could make it. She clambered on, weaving her way amidst the bones.

The constructed "child" of a pair of constructs that narrowly escaped forced decommissioning by fleeing into the Wyrmwound, Patina is technically Plague by essence, although her true nature isn't really biological. If she has a soul, it's well-hidden inside her oxidized metal frame. Taciturn and solitary, Patina is uncertain of her own purpose in the world, and with the season of Plague looming, she's strayed away from her nest in Dragonhome to investigate the land of her construction. Perhaps it'll hold some secret to her existence...
... or perhaps, as she makes her approach from the northeast, all she'll find is sticky, clinging red sand. The stuff acts more like water than Patina favors (even if she's only Ridgeback-shaped, not a real Ridgeback, some prejudices linger.) Making a scraping whirr in her throat, something akin to a mechanical growl, Patina attempts to dig herself free of the muck... wait, what's that?

Bible would not stop asking for a partner to play to anyone in the clan. Dusk would spend the day with his books and magic, Dawn only wanted him for training and scavenging and the others couldn't be better. The only one that wanted to play was Python, and even him couldn't follow the energetic Spiral.
At one point, Dawn just told him to go to explore other areas, if he needed to play so much, he should find other dragons in the other lands. With a big smile, Bible left the clan's home, flying happily through the sea, sometimes swimming too as the Water Dragon as he was. It didn't take him long until reaching The Scarred Wastelands. A little bit intimidated by the look of them and the creatures around, Bible decided to stay more time in the water, observing the area and #41 washing of the Plague.

Roshk is a quiet and reclusive Bogsneak who never really stepped out of his comfort zone. After literally being tossed into a whole new world, he has grown into a level-headed, family-oriented adult. Once a loner from deep in the Tangled Wood, Roshk was teleported away from his home by his now-mate Zyota after a freak magical mishap. Despite having a very rocky start, the two fell in love and now live with Zyota's adopted family in a flying library.
The library had landed right inside the Scarred Wasteland. It wasn't planned- the library just had a mind of its own. If the Wasteland was where it wanted to be, then it was the Wasteland they would go. Teon, Zyota's brother and head of the guard, ordered several of their group to search the area, Roshk included.
The general dreariness of the land didn't bother him- he had seen enough horrors in the Tangled Wood. However, everything still was strange to him. He wanted to find some level ground in a new place. Bogsneaks love deep, dark places to nest in. It isn't strange that he picked a slimey hole to explore first.

Felrake is a plague racer, rot and disease travel in her wake. She leads a small battalion and goes around settling old scores from her youthful days of spontaneous war. Her armour is made of various prizes she's won, and her only volume's are whisper and VERY LOUD SHOUTING.
This month, she's gone on a solo journey back to her birth-land the Scarred Wasteland. Felrake often does these to test her strength and make sure she's not relying on her group. This pilgrimage usually involves throwing herself into as many dangerous situations as possible.
Her first action is to throw her self 49. In the Contagion, to make sure she's still resistant to the typical plague diseases floating around.

"Hello, I am Qualia. Currently I'm researching leylines for a project that aims to map them. The equipment I have with me are for the purposes of travel or facilitating the study." She took out a metallic hemisphere on speaking of the latter. "You can examine them if you like, but please don't damage anything."
The other dragon snorted, and seemed satisfied with the answer. The patrol then continued and left Qualia to her business.
She honestly did not know what to expect of the Scarred Wasteland. Perhaps they were members of a quasi-peacekeeping clan trying to keep an eye on who entered or left the Plague realm, or perhaps thieves who decided she didn't have anything on her more valuable than the shawl she was wearing. Regardless, it looked unlikely she'd have to worry about them from here.
Qualia unrolled her map.
She decided to investigate the red miasma (#44).
