I looked in the Auction House for a mate for Argo, but the only suitable one got purchased before I could grab him. Oops. With three days left until she hit her RTB status, I was getting a bit worried. Instead, I turned my eyes to the forums! I used to get lots of nice dragons there, but I forgot about it. At last, I find an absolutely perfect Spiral!

I thought I'd have to eventually settle with some regular blue-scheme dragon, but now I'm the proud owner of this beachy boy! I've looked at his scrys with Argo, and they're all [i]wonderful[/i]. One more day and I can breed my beloved dragons ;;;; I'm having so much fun with this challenge!

This is Lago! She happened to come out as an XXY. As a hatchling, she reminds me of seaweed, but when she grows up, the Iridescent color gradient swaps and makes her look more like a lake with mud at the bottom. That's where her name comes from! It means "lake".

My babies hatched! They're all pretty much in the color range I was aiming for so that's good. Not super sure where I want to take this breeding challenge from here, I might focus in on getting more Lightning-esque genes. Suggestions/ideas are welcome!

Depending on which one you like best:
The first baby has that darker primary, so you could go for a thunder cloud and lightning type.
The spruce secondary on the second dragon is right in the range of what lightning territory land looks like, so you could try dedicating your project to looking like that. (The Shifting Expanse?)
The third hatchling has the white/blue electricity vibe, so maybe a bolt of lightning or something similar.

I went and picked this little cutie out of the AH to be Pandora's mate because he looks oh so Arcane and only noticed after I'd spent 8800t that I hadn't managed to select the element search. However, since he's Nature and that's one of my opposites, I'm just going to do a variant. My mates are all going to alternate from my opposite flights, instead of being from my flight.
I've never done a breeding challenge! This looks really fun though and I'm looking for more projects on FR to keep me hooked. (I have a very odd FR thing where I seem to pick it up around the end of the spring semester and play really hard all summer and then in the fall completely vanish!)
Long term goals!!!
