Oops, I forgot to update with my ugly clutch! The parents have actually already been exalted, because lair space ain't cheap, kids. Cantata is actually pretty close to a keeper, and she managed not only to inherit Jaguar but to get all her colors into the same range, and one of them's even Robin! But even scrying her, I couldn't quite make her colors work, so the challenge goes on. Her oldest brother Julian is the real heir. That guardian is... not ugly. I mean, there's nothing special about him, I don't look at him and think "Yes. Permadragon!" but I wouldn't just slap a skin on him the moment he grew up, either. I'm going to try breeding both boys, and see what kind of results I get. I definitely had an eye more on gene rarity than sheer ugly with the mates - the pearlcatcher is merely homely - but I think Peregrine is the big sticking point for me with these guys at this point. It used to be my go-to secondary for projects, and I got sick of it. Maybe Striation or Rosette can wrestle their way onto a fifth-gen baby.

I started this today. I didn't even need o go to the AH because a while back two of my dragons gave hatch to the most unfortunate look dragon I can recall ever lying eyes on. I initially only kept her because of the coincidence that all her colours were also fruit.
