The nice thing about having taken a brief hiatus is that, when I came back, it was in perfect time for my next alphabet pair to go on a nest! And the quadruplets, of course, hatch today. This will mark the J-generation -- the tenth of my challenge, which is quite exciting! However, I dreaded today's results because of the range of their parents:

Well... honestly, the results were better than I thought. The range was so abominably wide that 90% of the previews were hideous, but two of them -- Jura and Jonobi -- actually look kinda nice! But Jura is the one who sways me with her cooler color palette that I love, so she's going to be the heir.
And the mate? Well, let's take a look at him!

Unlike the last mate, who received a lot of complaints in spite of her prettiness, I had a much more positive response to this one. I love Bogsneaks and the possibility of a breed upgrade. I love the fact that he'll be ready to breed just about when my founder is so I don't have to wait two additional weeks to lay my next nest. The range isn't half bad.
The only major downside is that his gem genes have a slim chance of passing on (keeping me stuck in Speckle / Paint / Underbelly territory for a bit longer), but I'll definitely pick a dragon who gets any of Jim's genes as my heir. Otherwise, I'm going to prioritize Bogsneak hatchlings as heirs to break the chain of Snappers for a little while. I love Snappers -- I really do -- but I could use a little change!
