I'm currently working on breeding and leveling a full new complement of Coli teams. I am fairly experienced in the coliseum already, having leveled six dragons to 25- three 126/59, for use two at a time in the Kelp Beds, for leveling fodder, and three 129/50, for general farming. I will be retiring all six on completion of this project, because a) their flights were not considered when I started training them and b) their stones are a mess- each one is different.
I am looking to have fighters for any situation. So far I have three 129/50 meleers, (Ancalagon, Balerion, Shruikan, pages 1, 3, and 4) for general farming. They're Nature, to avoid any extra damage in the Workshop. They do not yet have Rally, but I'm working towards it. They are complemented by Glade, page 2, a 129/50 Nature healer with Contuse, Rally, Aid, and Envenom.
I'm currently breeding for Meraxes and Vhagar fandragons, which I plan to set up for fast training in the Kelp Beds. After that, I plan to create a Drogon for bulk leveling in the Mire. However, I'm not sure if I should follow through with this.
What I need help deciding is how many teams of what composition to build. I am very willing to make a large number of highly specialized teams for a variety of tasks- double-fodder training in the Ruins, the Roost, the Mire, farming in specific areas, etc. I've seen the New Battlestones Guide, which includes several specialized builds, but I'm not sure which are right for me.
The two things I absolutely need are a method of quickly training large numbers of fodder and an efficient way to farm nearly any zone, with focuses on Swipp/Baldwin items, festival currency, and food (especially Meat and Insects). Pure-treasure farming is less important, since I'm trying to stop hoardselling items in order to prepare for future Swipp and Baldwin releases, and since I'm pretty sure bulk-leveling and exalting is more profitable anyway. A way of training smaller numbers of dragons faster than the bulk training would also be useful, but if it's impossible to get a significant improvement in speed over the bulk training then this is obviously redundant. Obviously, I don't need a separate team for each zone unless the efficiency difference is significant- a team that can fight in the Workshop can probably handle itself in the Ruins, but a team with higher STR and lower QCK might be faster for, say, the Woodland Path.
The ideal answer to this post would include several specialised teams to hit all the categories. Each team should specify the stats, stones, and flight of each dragon, as well as a description of the team's intended use (farming, training, which zone, etc.). If the dragons within a team are different, recommended placement in the team (left/right or top/bottom) would also be useful. Finally, a short summary of the strategy involved when using the team in battle would be invaluable.
In addition, I prefer to level teams in threes starting in the Training Fields, since this method is more interesting for me. Is the difference in efficiency great enough that I should stop this? Should I level a certain team first (either by themselves or with Level 25 mentors) and then use them to level the rest?
To repeat: I will not balk at a complement of teams that would require significant time or money to create. I intend for this to be a long-term project.
I'm pinging @Maki because you wrote the battlestones guide- a little context and more information regarding your builds would be greatly appreciated. I'm pinging @Nightwind because I surmise from your response to the earlier thread regarding which build to use that you also have a complement of specialized teams like the one I'm trying to get, and because I know you have extensive Coli experience.
I am absolutely open to answers from other people as well- I only pinged the two above because they have knowledge that specifically pertains to the situation.
