I forgot this thread existed, really, until a new player revived it! Since it has some good info, I've revised this post to easily catalog ways to miniaturize your dragon for your signature, posts or dragon profiles!
1. This post by Cynictis shows you how to change the code generated by the "Generate Code" button under each dragons stats. Basically just change the 350 after 'rendern' to 'avatars' and then delete the _350 later in the code. This is an easy way to do it staying in game, but can be tedious for a lot of dragons at a time.

This thread by Cassoloti gives you a Google Sheet that generates the same code by simply inputting the dragon's ID number. It basically automates the process in the first method for up to five dragons at once or just one at a time, but you'll need to make your own copy and save it.
With this one I was able to do this little pair showcase with my drakery 'sign' to put into my signature:
3. VolatileMatter has generated some really cool tools and this one lets you input the dragon's ID to generate an avatar, mini pic, or normal pic in BB code. Scroll down to "click here to download" and the second image shows this tool.
If that doesn't work for you, the direct link is in this post. It is a Java app so if you don't have Java for some reason it won't work (as I discovered on my new laptop).
With that, I was able to generate all this by inputting just one ID number:

I do know that recently when I opened it, it triggered malware/virus alerts, and now I just get a 403 Forbidden error. Doesn't matter what browser.
Also, does anyone know of an alternative? I use the little dragon images it generates all the time. :/
