That actually makes a lot more sense. At first I thought it was some gif magic, but now that I've experimented with it a little, I understand it better. Thx again.

So carry me from these walls, brother of mine. Show me the world outside, it has to be true. I'm counting on you to be my wings and my eyes.
@Wickdorian
A Gen 1 dragon (also known as "first generation" or G1) has no listed parents, meaning that they have no relations or lineage until they've been bred with another dragon. The first two dragons you get when you make an account, known as progenitors, are special G1s that cannot be traded or sold.
Besides progenitors, G1s can also be hatched from unhatched eggs. You can find elemental eggs of all 11 elements from Scavenging in Gathering, or fighting in the Coliseum. You can also brew Bogsneak eggs with Baldwin, or find them in a Strange Chest during Night of the Nocturne in December.

A G1's colors are completely random upon hatching, which can result in a clashing disaster...or, by pure chance, they could turn out absolutely gorgeous. Collectors like me like to hatch or seek out pretty G1s for a clean lineage, rare color combinations, and lore potential, among other reasons.
A Gen 2 dragon (or G2) is any dragon descended from a G1 pair. They're not as commonly collected, since everyone has access to a G1 pair when they start playing. For example, here is my progenitor with one of his exalted sons. Warden is G1, and since he was bred with my other progenitor, Bonebleach is a G2 dragon.

The exception is G2 Imperials, since Imperial breedchange scrolls were exclusively distributed to Kickstarter backers when the site was still getting off the ground. The few remaining Imperial scrolls can go for hundreds of thousands of Gems, so G1 Imperials are outrageously rare when compared to any other breed.
As a result, there's a market for collectors who would rather buy a G2 Imperial hatchling than spend thousands of real-life dollars on Gems to change the art of a single dragon. Apologies for the long post, let me know if something is unclear!

Unhatched Lightning Egg
Dragon Eggs
A super-charged glassy egg with a flashing baby dragon inside. The egg is hard to look at for long periods of time, but quite the conversation topic.

Unhatched Fire Egg
Dragon Eggs
A smoldering, unhatched fire egg. It is almost too hot to hold and is rocking back and forth constantly. Its cragged surface is pulsing with embers.

Unhatched Bogsneak Egg
Dragon Eggs
A tiny Bogsneak hatchling grows within. The thick, armored shell makes it unclear what elemental alignment it has taken.

Unhatched Nocturne Egg
Dragon Eggs
A tiny Nocturne hatchling grows within. The thick, armored shell makes it unclear what elemental alignment it has taken.

It doesn't matter, they eat the same total amount regardless of if you feed them once a day or three times a day.

Oh all right, thanks ^^
I've made a thread but realised there was a more relevant sub-forum I could have posted it to. However, I can't just delete and move because I've just pinged a load of people so they'll still get a ping from the old thread ;;
Is there a way to ping a mod and have it moved or do deleted pings not register in people notifications?
