Surely I'm not the only one here that's a fan of the Harry Potter universe. :P
If so, what's your house and what's the reason you feel like you resonate with it? Are you into the Fantastic Beast series or not? Do you have a character you love?
Please keep ship discussion to a minimum here as I am not a fan of 99% of the fandom ships that are established (ESPECIALLY drarry and dramione). Plus, that stuff can get real weird real fast heh.

Hi! I'm not nearly as obsessed as I used to be but I'm still a fan. Always will be, probably.
I consider myself a Ravenclaw, but, I'm not a perfect score student, I just value knowledge and wisdom a lot. I don't really trust any of the tests, not even Pottermore, because after playing with it once or twice I could actually manipulate the results and get whatever I wanted. I've gotten all apart from Hufflepuff. The new Pottermore sorted me in Slytherin. *shrug*
As for Fantastic Beasts, I'm meh about it. It's very interesting visually, but I haven't felt anything special towards any character. I mean, I have felt negative feelings towards characters, Queenie, looking at you! , but I don't really have a favorite.
I think the lack of books is making it much less special to me... plus I always have Rowlings motives on the back on my mind... is she milking the franchise? Is she not? Was this all planned as she claims?

Ravenclaw is a wonderful house! I find a lot of creatives tend to be sorted into Ravenclaw as well. The house colors are super pretty too, plus you guys have some pretty neato canon characters that were in it. You're right about Pottermore, I don't trust their quiz but I think that's to be expected when it's just a series of pre-chosen questions :c
As for your comment about a certain character...yes :c They were my absolute favorite until the last movie. Broke my heart! But hoping there will be a redemption arc in place. We will see.
Though I love Harry Potter, I've been thoroughly unimpressed with Rowling as of late. She has pretty much lost my liking of her. My heart will never be able to let go of the series because I grew up with it, of course.

Oh man. I have been a Harry Potter fan since it was in pre-release of the 3rd book. I am 29 so I literally grew up with it. I am Slytherin. I resonate with what the house was supposed to mean pre Voldemort era and what it became again after his downfall. I am a very cunning and ambitious person but never to the point of stepping on the fingers of other trying to climb the same ladder as me. It was never supposed to be about throwing others under the bus to achieve your goals. I am very cunning and have been able to find creative solutions for my problems in a pinch.
As for Fantastic Beasts, I like the series a lot. But I have difficulties visually tracking what is happening on screen, especially if I don't already have a good idea of what is supposed to be happening. Because of this, I find some of the cinematography frustrating and that detracts from my enjoyment of the series. I love the very direct and period appropriate references to world war two and the anti Semitic culture working into the anti muggle culture of the wizarding world. I love how Grindelwald is portrayed. However, I absolutely abhor the blatant disregard to canon timelines in the Harry Potter universe. For example WHY is Minerva in the story at all? ESP as a teacher? She would have been like 1 in the first movie.... so.. That is very frustrating. The appearance of Dumbledore is also a tiny bit irritating but I choose to look past that for my own sanity. Given the improbable ending of Crimes of Grindelwald, I am very curious to see where the next movie goes with it without violating canon stories even further. Aside from all of that, I did appreciate getting to meet Nicolas Flammel!
Characters that I love: In the Golden trio era, Draco. But not for his personality, but for his redemption and getting to map that redemption each and every time I read the series. From Fantastic Beasts, Jacob is probably my favorite character. I love his New York personality and his ability to accept magic and his constant amazement in what magic can do.

KittSnicket I love the series! Like Charoula, I’m not as obsessed with it as I once was, but I still like to read the books yearly and I’m always down for an HP movie. ^^
I’m also in Ravenclaw, and happy to be there! I took the test multiple times and got Ravenclaw the most, so I guess it’s just meant to be lol. What is your house?
As for the Fantastic Beasts movies, I have mixed feelings. I felt that the first one was pretty solid, and I liked most of the characters (Queenie is honestly probably one of my favorites)! The second movie though... oof. There was too much going on for Crimes of Grindelwald to be considered a cohesive movie. It’s was choppy, inconsistent, and hard to follow- not to mention the retconning! Hopefully the third movie will tie things up.

KittSnicket *pushes Lockhart to the basement* Yep, everyone is pretty neat over here, haha. Nothing strange going on, lol
So, about pottermore, what's your patronus? Mine is a borzoi dog. I can't remember anything about the wand. I think my Ilvermorny house was Pukwudgie, but I have no idea what that means.
Yeah, I'm sure Rowling is going to "fix" the problem with that character, I doubt that she's going to waste all the subplots with a death or something. But then again she put a lot of work into
Leta and look what happened!
I'm very unimpressed with Rowling too, and it's not "OMG she did this one horrible, unforgivable thing!" It's little things here and there that pop up and they just feel... off. She's trying to stay relevant, I guess.

oooh yes....
i've always loved harry potter but i've recently gotten back into it.
i'm currently re-reading all of the books; right now i'm on the goblet of fire, which is my favorite one!
i'm a slytherin! for ilvermorny, i'm in wampus, i'm pretty sure.
my patronus is an abraxan winged horse.
i've only seen the first movie of the fantastic beasts series, but i'm eager to watch more!
