I've seen a lot of posts lately about bad teachers, so why not the good ones?
Mine is my 4th grade science teacher. He made every boring lesson into something fun, somehow. Those are the teachers I like. No one likes it when they have to listen to someone ramble on about this topic they'll never use IRL. But turning it into a fun project for the whole class makes it much more memorable and the kids like it. I'll never forget that one time when it was free time, he talked to me, made conversation, and pulled me aside. He told me that he thought I was one of the more competent and capable children in his class. He asked me what I did all day and I just kinda mumbled "..play on my laptop" and he replied back to me "You're very smart. Do you know what things you could do if you didn't play on your laptop all day?" I'll never forget those words. Man, if you were on his good side, he was basically your best friend.

Hello LGBT Community
My two favorite teachers are easily my undergraduate and my graduate saxophone professors. I was lucky enough to study with professors who not only dedicated an absurd amount of their time to help me succeed professionally, but also welcomed and treated me like part of their family! They would drop everything to help me with literally anything, it was surreal having such amazing people as teachers. I feel like I used up all my "awesome-teacher" luck being able to study with them haha.
Good teachers are unfortunately more of a rarity in public school compared to college, but I had some great high school and elementary school teachers who you could tell really cared about their job and their students. I've done some teaching myself and it can be totally overwhelming sometimes, but it was always a joy to see bright students excel and struggling students succeed.
I'm glad you had a teacher who recognized your potential and supported you! [emoji=familiar heart]

He sounds like he was a very supportive teacher, which is amazing. I seriously think everybody deserves at least one teacher like that in our lives.
I've lucked out and actually have had several good teachers throughout my life.
In 2nd grade, I had a teacher who taught me something important, and that was "Adults do not know everything, even if they tell you they do. Not even I know everything." I don't know, to hear that from a mentor as a kiddo really had a impact on me and made me realize I shouldn't ever just blindly trust anybody. She also went on like vacations and would bring us all back candies and souvenirs from all the places she visited. Our class always got so excited when she came back. It was pretty awesome.
Another teacher was my 6th grade teacher. Every Friday, she would transform herself into "Ms. Priscilla, mad scientist." She would fluff out her hair to make it look Einstein's and she would wear a lab coat and tiny round glasses. She would then do science demonstrations while acting as a stereotypical mad scientist like from old movies, haha. Those days were soooooo fun!!!
I was also doing really terrible time in class at that time because of a bad situation at home. I'm pretty sure she suspected something because she actually came to check up on me by coming to my house and talking to my parents. Nothing came of it, but it was really amazing of her.
She also took pictures throughout the year of us and made me and each and every one of my classmates a personalized scrapbook which we got as a gift at the end of the school year. Man, I really loved her. She was genuinely just such a good person.
In high school, my history teacher always let me play my DS in the corner of class during work time. It was because I always somehow finished my work like a week or two early. He said I could play it as long as I didn't disturb the rest of class. All simply because he had no more extra work to give me.
And the last teacher who gets a gold star from me was my trig teacher in high school. He was so over the top. If people got a 100% on a quiz/test, we would get a chance to throw a marker into the eraser tray. If it made it in, we would get a prize and a point added to a score board so we could compete with other classes. Also, he would always scream out Beyonce songs and preach to us how Beyonce was the best singer out there. One time he even broke his microwave by slamming his fist on the top of it while telling us why Beyonce was just so amazing. It was an old crappy microwave, but nonetheless funny. He was just a very energetic and fun teacher that made learning math super entertaining.

My 4th grade teacher was one of my favorites! He was always so involved with us, and we did a whole lot of class bonding and team building. He was very real with us, but also very fun! I remember he'd always tell the class a riddle every week, and if your group got the answer right he'd give you jolly ranchers.
My freshman year English teacher was amazing as well. She really knew how to teach us and keep our attention, something that actually helped me enjoy the subject that was previously ruined by previous English teachers.
My current AP Calc and band director are by far the best educators in the building. My Calc teacher really breaks down everything, even though my class is rather disrespectful. And my director is so caring about us and music as a subject, it really helps. He was named one of the best music educators in the state by a music ed magazine, which was pretty cool!

I had an excellent math teacher once who, despite having practically no free time due to teaching more classes than any of the other math teachers at school, went to great pains to make sure everyone in all of her classes understood everything. It was sad because most of my class clearly didn’t care and put forth no effort on anything in that class, then complained that she was a bad teacher because of their problems, but she spent so much time making comprehensive resources for all of us that she honestly deserves some sort of award. She also was awesome because on the rare occasions when everyone finished all of their work for the day and she finished her lesson, she would tell us cool stories and even let people openly play video games in her class. All in all, she was just an excellent teacher.
All of my orchestra teachers I’ve ever had have been awesome as well. I used to have one who not many people liked because she was extremely strict, but she was also really funny and understanding. I’ve had a few who I didn’t get to know as well, but still really enjoyed, like the guy who created a bunch of orchestra games and competitions so we’d all have fun and get to showcase our talents. My current teacher, though, is really great because she seems grumpy, but is relaxed about breaking minor rules. If people forget to do their homework for a class, she’ll let them sit out of playing for the day and finish their homework. If people use part of their lunchtime to practice in the orchestra room, she regularly compliments them on their work ethic and lets them sit in higher chairs. I really love her class, even though, sadly, most people there aren’t motivated at all.

My favorite teacher was a teacher when I was 10. He had long black hair, was super tall, always wore black, and always carried his guitar with him. Some days, he would play and sing us a song. I also remember there was this one super hot summer day, where he just decided to teach outside instead.
He was really amazing :)

Oof I actually have a lot of favourite and memorable teachers.
First being my 5th grade teacher. I don't exactly remember much, but apparently she loved having me so much that she asked my family if she could keep me over the summer lmao.
The next would be my Spanish teacher in 8th grade. She was always super nice and supportive. She would always comment how my drawings were good (keep in mind my level was way behind the talent of art students my age - never took classes because my family disapproved me from being an artist).
I guess I'll just shout out these two ^-^

I don't remember my elementary and middle school teachers very well anymore, but I've had a couple of great high school teachers.
One was my economics teacher who I only had one semester for all four years in high school, but he was a great teacher. He was super nice and friendly, and at the end of the semester we had a group project for the final exam. It was a slideshow we had to make about a business and present it to the class. Being the odd one always left out, I had no group and I panicked because giving presentations with anxiety isn't fun. So being the amazing teacher he is, he let me do my own independent project about writing a biography about a CEO and turn it in to him without having to present it to class.
Another favorite teacher was my graphics teacher who retired last year. He had his moments where he genuinely intimidated me when he was mad or judging my work, but he was inspired me to follow a career path I think can help me going into college this fall.
Finally, one of my favorite teachers is an English teacher I had for two classes throughout high school. He is one of the most understanding teachers I've had. He understands my anxiety and worries so he's super supportive and urges me to improve and whatnot(he wasn't as understanding about it as the first teacher, but what do you expect as an English teacher). Not to mention now he's letting me paint a mural on his wall! He has 5 murals currently on his classroom walls and he's letting me and another student add two more.

I absolutely loved my high school chemistry teacher, she was always super helpful and dedicated hours of her free time every week to helping us after school hours and she would sometimes go to the local shops and buy us food during school hours lol (she was basically the complete opposite of my previous chemistry teacher who was very strict and didn't react well if you were struggling in his class..)
Also all my Indonesian teachers were all so lovely and supportive? They went to both our exams to cheer us on and frequently bought us food as well

My Favorite teacher has to be my 7th and 8th grade science teacher.(I went to a small school and the science teacher taught both grades). She abousolutly 100% belevied that every child deserves to learn and is a scienticet. Her favorite Quote was "We spend the first year of our kids lives teaching them to walk and talk, and the rest of it tell them to sit down and shut up". Every child is naturally curiours and wants to know more about the world. She was awesome and almost every kid loved her. (The school had alot of spiecal ed kids and kid who just didnt feel like they could do anything)
