So that's what those are? Once I went on a holiday in the middle of eastern Europe and sow a LOT of those just crawling on the tree bark and generally having a blast creeping everybody out:-) Maybe it was their mating season?

That sounds nice. Take a picture of one next time you see one. Can never have enough pics of cute bugs.

Yeah, there are a lot of those. Especially in summer. If you've seen some traing to navigate while attached rear-to-rear, then you know it's their mating season.
Despite their number, they interestingly don't have much of an impact on nature and humans. They feed on plant-juices, mostly from seeds, which does absolutely nothingto pretty much anything. Most harmless animals right here.

This thread is wonderful and a perfect excuse to spam photos of my isopods.
I originally rescued these guys from where I work in Phoenix, AZ and I've been keeping them for a couple of months now. They live right next to my computer monitor so I can watch them doing their thing. Extremely cute, would recommend. Right now I have about 25 adults in this little vivarium... and a recent explosion of babies.

This thread is also a wonderful and perfect excuse to me to look at pictures of cute inverts. Which might've been the main reason I created it.
First, congratulations. You're the first one to post crustaceans here. And also congrats on the babies.
Are they all the same species? The one in the second-to-last pic looks different from the others.
The ones in the first three pics remind me a lot of those we have around in Germany. Rough woodlice. According to wikipedia, this species is native to central Europe, but has been brought to several other regions, including the Amercias.

Xionahri The second-to-last one is a different species, not sure exactly what but it's the only one that can actually roll into a ball. The others I'm guessing are either
Porcellio laevis or maybe
dilliatus. The mature adults are pretty darn big.

I live in a desert, but I’ve never seen a scorpion in my life- until I was walking my dog today and nearly stepped on this tiny guy. It’s hard to see him all the way down there, but I was nervous to get closer in case I scared him!

Good babies, though... Last one may be dangerous but he's still pretty cool [emoji=sunglasses]
