6. This question is a bit confusing, so i will try to answer to the best of my ability. if you mean video games as a process, i think it will mainly stick to consoles and pc but many will shift to vr. but if you mean personally to me, it honestly reflects on whether or not i head to college - meaning i will have to shelf a lot of games in order to pursue a better education.
i am also from america!

blanc Nice to meet you, loser! They call me Misfire. Long story. Actually, you know what? It isn't. It's a very short story involving a machine gun, a misunderstanding, and a dozen dead Decepticons. -1 fr time

6. VR someday, but right now it's not commercially viable. Not enough people have the hardware, so not enough people buy it to be worth it. Also I'd love to see more vr that doesn't make me motion sick.

I think it will continue to become more mainstream and accepted as a hobby. Cross console + PC servers for online games will be the norm rather than the exception.
Someday we might see a shift to VR but I think it's a lot further away than a lot of people seem to. It's expensive and the games still have issues with a lot of people (vision, nausea) that it has to overcome as a medium before it can really grow.

5. What drives you the most to play video games?
Other (elaborate): Because I speak English and I am learning German videogames have become more than a hobby to me. Its the way I can be social and get the social contacts I need.

6. Where do you think video games will go from here? (Optional)
I believe video games are a form of art like movies or books are. And as such they will update themselves as technology advances. Plus there will always be conflicts over them with laws, social issues, and even the business side of them. But overall I think video games will bring people closer together; I mean look at what Pokemon Go did, for about a week the world was a lovely place where people got along with strangers bonding over Pokemon. Young, old, different genders, and even different races. Talk about a very powerful medium!
